Great new Italian bakery in the neighbourhood ~ fresh donuts, cookies, pies, danishes, cakes & more! I bought sugar chocolate cream filled donuts, lathe eclairs and blueberry cheese + strawberry cheese danishes on my 1st visit ~ fresh and not overly fried or sugary. Apparently donuts disappear quick, so get there early. For such an early start, they already have plenty of repeat patrons. Happy to see them there & will be back

The donuts are great, they have one of the best chocolate dip donuts, fluffy and a bit chewy, the chocolate cover is rich but not overly sweet.

SOLID good, smaller Italian bakery with friendly service! The bakery itself is located in a residential area in N Etobicoke, in a small strip plaza. Along the back wall, there is a small deli counter with cold cuts and some sandwiches/square slices of pizza. On the longer wall is the bakery stuff with a small, hot table, a glass showcase with donuts, some pastries in the front window, and loaves of bread on the back. I found the staff helpful and friendly! The young man even described the different textures of the bread which I thought was very helpful in my decision making. I picked up a handful of baked goods and the standouts was a sugar twist - I never get this, but the girl who worked there said it was a popular item - and the lobster tail. Lobster tail was quite small though, but the crispy, flaky pastry was fresh and delicious! I never got any donuts, but if it's the same dough as the sugar twist, they'd probably be good to! Dough was light, airy, and it didn't taste heavy to me. I didn't really like pistachio cannoli, the cream was too heavy and almost an icing-like thickness. Much too heavy. None of their items were too sweet which I liked! One thing that would be great is if there were signs for their Café Menu/Desserts/Pastries availability with prices. There was only 1 sign with the kinds of cold cuts that were available.

    Review Highlights - Montesanto Bakery

The chocolate dip is thick and adds a smooth texture, sweet enough for dessert but not sweet enough to give you a sugar crash.

I really loved the pastry it was super flaky, rich, and filled with a generous amount of chocolate and pistachio. I ordered the iced pistachio latte. For the price, I think the presentation could've been a bit nicer, but taste-wise it was solid and enjoyable. The crowd was a mix of people casually chatting and others working, which fit the overall professional atmosphere. Slight The staff were also very kind and attentive, coming by to check in on us. They even offer bookable office spaces if you need a more private work area (for an extra cost). TMI but worth mentioning the washroom was amazing. They had really nice soap and hand cream, plus a bidet with a heated seat, which was such a pleasant surprise Overall, it's a pretty good café with thoughtful details and great service. Tip: Park across the street and walk over to avoid paying for parking. Personal preference: While there were things I really liked, I personally prefer a more laid-back, cozy café vibe, so I'd give this place a 3.5/5.

The food and coffee is good I had the pumpkin spice latte, Carmel latee and and vanilla latte, and I would say the coffeee is amazing and strong. No matter what day you come, they are and have been consistent. I will be back

The owner and the barista working (apologies, I forgot to get your names) when I arrived were super nice and friendly. Answered all of my questions thoroughly with a friendly smile and interacted with every customer that came after me in the same manner. They were super quick, despite it getting a bit busy at times. Ambiance: Adorable decor with a good amount of seats! There is wifi (if you choose to stay a bit to study or work, which is permitted) and outlets for your convenience. The interior is modern with a lovely red theme--you could tell that the owner loves this cafe! If you're worried about parking, theres plenty of free parking in the back. TLDR: Absolutely loved everything from the friendly owner and barista to the amazing food and drink. Will definitely be coming back to study and sip on a good drink. If you're in the area or live nearby, definitely stop by and say hi! Note: because they just opened a few weeks ago, they're having a promotion every Sunday from 10am - 12pm until the new year (Dec 31) where you can get a free coffee as a little "hello" to the neighbourhood. Additionally, they have a stamp system where if you buy 10 drinks, your 11th is free!

It looked like a place that has not changed in many decades- so it had a vintage vibe. During my visit, it was quite busy as it was just after 12 noon on Saturday. I read that this place has very good pastries, so that is what I decided to purchase. There were two friendly ladies working behind the counter, so I called one of them to ask for help. She informed me that each item is priced by weight, so after confirming the prices, I purchased three cannolis (three different flavours) and one cream-filled doughnut. Then she let me know that I can pay for them at the checkout close to the exit. After paying for the items, I brought them home to try with my husband. We enjoyed both items- however, if we had to pick our favourite, it would be the cannolis. The exterior was so crunchy (and very satisfying) and the filling was smooth and creamy. Each flavour had the right amount of sweetness to satisfy our cravings! The doughnut was good- it had the smooth and creamy custard filling, but the dough tasted a bit hard (so it was not as pillowly as we thought). The next time I am in the area, I look forward to checking out their other items. If you are in this area, support local and check out this family-owned bakery!
