I am downgrading my previous stays because over the years this hotel is getting dingy and needs…read moreupgrades badly. Trying to plug my electronics into the wall outlets was disappointing because the sockets were loose and my plugins were not in tight. My side of the bed only had one plugin that I needed to use for my sleep machine. My iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch all had to be plugged into different outlets scattered about the room. The Hampton Inn and Suites we stayed at in Effingham had a good size mini fridge and ample plug-ins on my side of the bed so I could keep everything at my fingertips. I had brought an extension charger but didn't need it so packed it away before coming to Cullman where I could have used it. My biggest complaint is the beds use to be so comfortable with feather light fluffy comforters. That is not the case anymore. Almost feels like Hilton has downgraded their Hampton Inns, which use to be my fav lace to stay world-wide but I'm thinking I need to check out some other brands. The room is clean but don't feel like I would want to walk on the carpet barefoot.

Lobby and breakfast area were fine but all the furniture in our room was very stained and not something you would sit on. Very disappointed and glad we only were there one night. Plus there was mold in the shower. Will stay elsewhere next trip.

After reading some previous reviews, I was concerned about my booked stay. The hotel was obviously…read morea little older but the front lobby area was clean and my room was clean. Sheets looked crisp and white and the bathroom was spotless (thank you for no hair) . The front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful about the breakfast bar. So far, very nice. The only thing I will say is the room smelled a little musty, I sprayed my Lysol to freshen it up. Maybe the carpets need cleaning/freshening? Also, one other small item, when I went to take a shower, the diverter on the tub spout was really difficult to pull up. Didn't hang around for the breakfast as I needed to get on the road. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful on my checkout.

Not sure where to begin. This hotel is outdated; shower area was in need or repair/stained. There…read morewas a lady bug problem/infestation and we had several lady bugs in our room. And lastly, the water pressure was terrible; we could hardly rinse during a shower. We are aware that lady bugs tend to come indoors this time of year, but surely the hotel could do something to reduce their presence. We asked about the low water pressure and were told that there were over 40 guests spending the night! The amount of guests shouldn't affect the water pressure quality! Lastly, the front desk staff when checking out were not very friendly and seemed too busy talking to each other. Not sure we will be staying g at this Hampton Inn again...so disappointed.
