Their wines were nice, not overly sweet (a couple sweet options) we opted for a wonderful Riesling. I don't usually go white but theirs was bright, refreshing and not much tannin. Chris and Charlie are the consummate hosts, providing local information for scenic attractions nearby, as well as plenty of southern accent banter. There are waterfalls, historic sights, great restaurants, and interesting museums, all within an hour's drive. Four major airports: Birmingham, Huntsville, Atlanta, and Chattanooga are all within 90 minutes. We flew into Birmingham and spent four restful nights with our lovely hosts. If you want a barn wedding I say you should look no further. It is just perfection! They are affiliated somehow with Joe McEachern photography (I think same owners) so if you have portraits you need for your senior, engagement, pregnancy, or just some gorgeous family shots then this is also an amazing backdrop for those. I browsed through the photography on the Facebook page and they were really nice! I wish I had more details but as I was mainly passing through that's all I can tell you. Overall, not to go to deep into the actual show, but to focus in on the actual venue, they really have a nice space. Large floor plan and plenty of space for parking makes this an ideal location for nice easy access. Everything has a nice new feel about it and the grounds seem to be kept up very nicely (landscaping) as well as not any garbage/debris laying around. The event staff that ran the show were very friendly and made it easy to figure out where you needed to be to pay for admission to the event and the layout of booths (in this case tables) were easy to determine where one presentation started and ended. I'd recommend coming here if you have any interest in the trade show that is happening. One recommendation - they should add a calendar page to the web page to show you what events are upcoming ..... other wise really good!

The area surrounding the barn is beautiful. It's something out of those 500 piece puzzles that grandma puts together. Open fields, rolling hills, small ponds, farm houses, it is pretty peaceful. The party was for about 30 little kids. Being that they have no attention span, the owners of the Red Barn, had a few tricks up their sleeves to keep the kiddies entertained. They gave pony rides, hay rides, and had the kids fish out of the pond. Each kid was given the chance to catch and release one fish. I believe that every kid had the chance to catch a fish. Overall this place is fun and a great venue for a party. The kiddies seem to love it.

The mattress isn't as comfortable, and the towels aren't as soft as other Red Roof Inns. The lake provides a pleasant scene where a family of ducks can be seen wandering freely. Within walking distance, you'll find 3 restaurants: Top O' the River Catfish & Seafood, Pruett's BBQ & Catfish (closed Sundays), and Zaxby's. Plus, 2 gas stations are just a minute away.
