Me and my family celebrated a birthday at Capone's Dinner & Show. As soon as you enter, it's the 1930s in Chicago theme. 4 course meal which started with appetizers which are Mozzarella Cheese sticks and Bread. They were good. Then choice of Soup or Salad. I choose the Garden Salad with Italian dressing. The salad was light but good. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and a glass of Merlot. It was really good. The wine was on point. We were a party of five at Al Capone's Dinner & Show on September 6 celebrating an engagement. My aunt traveled from Ohio and was especially excited because she had been to Al Capone's several times over the years and had wonderful memories of it. Unfortunately, what we experienced was nothing like what she remembered. Our reservation showed a 7:00 PM start, so we arrived at 6:30 as requested. From the beginning, everything was disorganized. We weren't told where the entrance was and ended up at the back of the line. Once inside, we waited in another line for drinks. Then there was no clear direction for seating. An employee eventually took our party of five to a four-top before another server said it wouldn't work and moved us. Once seated, someone asked what salad dressing we wanted even though we hadn't received menus. I finally had to ask, "Do we get menus?" The menu listed Italian wedding soup, which I ordered. I was told they might have run out after serving VIP guests, but then I was simply brought minestrone. When I questioned it, the server acted like I was mistaken and said the wedding soup must have been on their "winter menu." He picked up the menu to check and discovered it DID list Italian wedding soup. This was September 6 in Florida. If you're out of something, just tell the customer instead of making them feel like they read the menu incorrectly. The appetizer arrived quickly but was cold. Then came dinner. I cannot emphasize this enough: this was honestly the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. That is the God's honest truth. I've had meals I didn't like, but I cannot remember ever having an entire meal this unpleasant. Nearly everything with sauce was overwhelmingly spicy. It wasn't one dish. The food as a whole was terrible. When you're paying for a "dinner show," DINNER is a major part of what you're paying for. By the time dinner arrived, our drinks were empty. No one offered refills. No water and no additional napkins. I eventually GOT UP MYSELF, asked for a pitcher of water, brought it back and refilled everyone's water. I also had to get our own napkins. This wasn't just our table. Tables throughout the room had stacks of dirty dishes while dessert was being served. Guests had empty drinks and dirty plates everywhere. It was chaotic. We were told they expected around 60 guests but received 129 reservations. I understand being short staffed, but if you cannot properly serve 129 people, don't accept 129 reservations. Cap the reservations. Being short staffed explains slower service. It doesn't excuse this level of disorganization. When the server told us we could move to the stadium seating for the show, I explained that I had to get our own water and napkins because nobody was taking care of us. He asked how everything else was. We told him honestly that it wasn't good and we wouldn't be back. After explaining the problems with the food and service, his response was: "If the food was so bad, then why are you taking it home?" Yes, we asked for to-go boxes because we had paid for the food. We ultimately threw it away. His response came across as rude and defensive. An offer to get a manager would have been much more appropriate. He encouraged us to stay because the show was better, but we were done. We purchased tickets for a DINNER SHOW. Instead, we endured a terrible dinner and terrible service and were then supposed to hope the show made up for it. We left approximately 1 1/2 hours early. This was supposed to be an engagement celebration. My aunt came from Ohio excited to share a place she had loved with us. Instead, all five of us left disappointed. Even the souvenir photo added to the frustration. We waited about 15 minutes to see it, and my eyes were closed. After everything else, I asked if they could at least give us the newspaper-style photo without the additional $20 charge. We had already spent approximately $149 and were leaving 1 1/2 hours early. I was simply told no. There wasn't even an offer to ask a manager. What bothered me almost as much as the food was the complete lack of concern or effort to make anything right. I understand staffing problems, bad nights and running out of menu items. Any ONE of these things could have been overlooked. But this wasn't one thing. The entire experience was disorganized from arrival to departure: confusing entrance and seating, no menus until we asked, cold appetizer, unavailable menu items, the worst food I have personally ever eaten, empty drinks, no refills, no napkins, getting our own water, dirty dishes everywhere, a defensive response when we complained, no manager and leaving 1 1/2 hours early. My aunt had wonderful memories of Al Capone's, which is why we chose it. Sadly, none of us have any desire to return. We expected a fun dinner show and memorable engagement celebration. We wanted to try something different so we went for a dinner and a show. Capone's has a great price point. We splurged on the VIP but it really wasn't necessary. You got a closer seat. That's the only perk that was taken advantage. We saw no difference in timing on seating when it came to a non packed show (the show starts exactly the same time for everyone) and we saw no difference in better drinks. We arrived as a party of 2 and they had our ticket ready at the front with the name it was booked under. We went through a cute speakeasy that takes place in Chicago. Walked to the bar to get a drink. This part was a long wait. The line was long. Someone ended up coming over and asking us what we wanted and grabbed it for us so we can sit down. We thought we were eating dinner during the show. Nope. Two separate areas. This is why when purchasing it tells you it's 6:30-10:00pm. The starters came out and they were good. Bread. Mozzarella sticks. Salads. Then the entrees came out and that was terrible. The chicken parm must have not been fresh. Frozen? The lasagna was okay. The pasta was less than ok. Everything had the same sauce actually. The food really was not good. And our bodies surely did react to eating this food. The dessert? Pass. The show was not necessarily what we thought. Think less gangster. Think more cheesy. We were engaged though and shared some laughs. Overall it was a relaxing night but it would only get a 3 - 3.5 star for the overall experience. The show was unorganized and hard to understand, but whatever they were saying, it was loud. Talent was mediocre. Reminded me of obligations I made to friends kids talent shows....5 hours to eat, then bear witness to some hint of 20's,30s Chicago prohibition days and a "speakeasy" ( does it count we entered through a secretn oassage door?) with modern furnishings, and NY accents, a semi enjoyable rendition of Cell Block Tango from Musical Chicago, but I dunno. We recently visited Capone's Dinner & Show and had an amazing time overall! We did have a very slight hiccup, as when we purchased our tickets online, the confirmation email did not include arrival time details. I looked on their website and saw that general admission guests should arrive between 6:15 and 6:30 pm. We arrived during that window, but the young male receptionist at the front told us for general admission to return after 7 pm instead, which was no big deal at all! We walked around the connected Dezerland and came back right at 7 pm. Once we got our tickets, we entered the main area, and a few of the waitstaff mentioned "oh, there's two more," and no one else arrived after us, so it seemed like there may have been a small misunderstanding. The receptionist did appear a bit nervous, so it could have just been a simple mix up. From that point on, everything was absolutely excellent. The 4 course meal with unlimited drinks completely exceeded our expectations. Based on other dinner shows in the Orlando area, we were not necessarily expecting outstanding food, but wow. Everything was delicious, fresh, served hot, and the portions were pretty big! We genuinely enjoyed every course. After dinner, there was a really smooth transition into the theater portion of the evening. The show itself was absolutely hysterical. The cast is incredibly talented, quick witted, and fully committed to their roles. We were laughing nonstop the entire time. The theater is very intimate, which creates such a fun, immersive atmosphere that you just do not get at larger dinner shows. It truly feels like you are part of the experience. They also continued serving unlimited alcoholic drinks throughout the show, and the service was incredible the entire night. The staff was attentive, efficient, and kept everything flowing seamlessly without ever feeling intrusive. The venue itself is gorgeous, and I absolutely love the format of dinner first and then the show. It made the entire evening feel like a true speakeasy experience, which fits the theme perfectly. The only small suggestion I would offer is that it would be even more immersive if the receptionist and some of the waitstaff and bartenders wore a bit more themed costumes or accessories. The space has so much potential for even deeper theming over time, and I really hope they add additional decor and immersive details in the future. Overall, we highly recommend Capone's! For the price, you truly cannot find a better value anywhere else in Orlando. It was such a fun night out, and we will absolutely be back! read more

Great welcome by the father of the owner, he took our cell phone picture outside and escort us to the speak easy where the drinks, food and show awaits. The rum and Coke, had more rum than coke! We were a party of 5 and tried 5 different dishes from the main menu and they were all delicious, including the appetizers and dessert. After dinner we played a round of Black Jack ran by who was later one of the performers in a very entertaining musical. Amazing talent! The audience was also part of the show. They charge you at booking so tips are not included, make sure you bring cash. We did not have any cash but were able to leave our tip on a card. Well deserved!!! Great food and service. Easy and convenient parking. First stop was the bar for a drink. Then we were seated at a table for dinner. Started with mozzarella sticks, salad/soup and bread with the yummiest olive oil mixture that I have ever had. Hubby choose the lasagna and I had Spaghetti Carbonara, both were very good. And that is saying a lot as hubby is Italian. Finished dinner with apple turnover. We were told that all of the pasta is made in house. Everything was fresh and flavorful. After dinner we were escorted to our seats for the show. Special thanks to Pickles & Lucky who took great care of us during dinner. And our Bartender who made excellent mixed drinks. The cast can sing and dance, and they should lean into that more as the dialogue was just bad, slow, cheesy. I would recommend trying something else. read more

My Bolognese Lasagana tasted like a piece of Amazon Box cardboard. 2 bites and push that awful mess of a main course away. Stay away from this....They could do better with a "Marie Calender" from Publix.... The salad was good, as were the mozzarella sticks, but then again how can you go bad with these. My Merlot wine was ok, and our waiter "Vito" was entertaining. The desert apple turnover could have come straight from McDonalds, but was ok. The show was entertaining, and I commend the performers for the effort put forth, although the sound system left you wondering what they were saying at times. Overall, had a good experience last night. The new location takes a little getting used to if you were a fan of the previous. We personally were expecting something closer to the older experience with the tables around the stage for a traditional "dinner show" experience. Leaving our table to go to the bar rather than drinks just constantly flowing at the tables sucked a bit. However, I feel like the food was good and the servers had the same vibe as before. For the show, they were having some audio difficulties, but that's probably just part of getting set back up in the new location. It is a tourist attraction. We knew what to expect. Reviews about the food have not been great. App- Mozzarella sticks were good and kept the kids happy. The marinara sauce tasted like it came from a jar though. Food- I ordered the trio. The pesto was very strong flavored and could hae been dialed back a bit. The chicken parm was a good chunk of meat. They said that it was the only gluten free option available on the menu. The lasagna was a small slice, but the combo of food was filling for the meal. Drinks- I ordered a rum runner but it was way too sweet. Someone else ordered a rum and coke and couldn't taste the rum. So I ended up drinking red wine. Unlimited drinks is a plus and ensures that everybody has a good time. Entertainment was great! The performers are having fun. We were drinking and eating and enjoying the humor. Since I am someone who hates reading long reviews, I am going to sum up our evening at Capone's in one word: FANTASTIC. We read a lot of negative reviews in the past and I attribute them to people with too-high expectations and the type who are never satisfied with ANYTHING. Believe me, the venue is awesome, the food and drinks are excellent and the entertainers top-notch. I got in on the special they were running on line and got a BOGO deal. I really didn't expect much since this was quite the bargain, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Since it was only a few bucks more I opted for the VIP experience. With that said, we got early entry to the place. I love that they have a little store out front where you buy period merchandise for a more complete experience. We already came dressed for the occasion though. You have to have a password to get into this place, giving you the speakeasy feel. They line up up for a mug shot as soon as you get in. You will later have a chance to purchase the pictures and I must say, they are nicely done and I ended up buying the entire package. I digress, from there we were led to the upstairs bar for cocktails of our choice. Once we had those in hand, we were escorted to our seats. Mind you the entire staff is in character of the 20's , nice attention to detail. Once seated our waitress introduced herself and soon brought us an appetizer... mozzarella sticks with Marinara sauce... pretty good actually. A nice salad was next. We got to pick our entrees. I opted for the lasagne, which was a bit odd since the plate was filled with a lot of veggies on the side of the lasagna. I guess to fill up the plate. The food itself wasn't bad. My guest had some sort of pastea with sausage and what-not. It was said to be spicy so I didn't order it. Turned out to have a little umpf, but not overly spicy. That dish was delicious and I waish I could remember it. Also cannot remember what we had for dessert, just that we had some. I may not be able to recall those things due to the many cocktails I had, since they were included in the price and I didn't have to drive. The show was hilarious. I don't want to give away too much, but there was some audience participation and that made it even funnier. Worst food I've ever had. Pasta tasted like it had sat in a urinal and didn't get our drinks refilled once. When we needed a refill on drinks so we sent someone from our party to the bar and she had to bring back the full tray of drinks herself. Listed as dinner and show but you have to fully finish eating and go to stage to view show which is completely out of view if you sit up top. Did get drinks with our purchase and all of our drinks were way too strong, basically filled over half the glass with liquor in our drinks. Do not recommend! read more

Which was a nice idea if you were at a bachelor or bachelorette party... there were several last night ! Food and drinks were included in tickets price.. Yelp check in gives a discount, if you Book on line there is a discount.. we did VIP packages ( cold beer/ House wine/ And some favorites like Tito's vodka, A couple Rums including Malibu! Our servers "Kiki & Kitty" were really on point ! Dinner Menu was almost all Italian.... Capone's ! Definitely upgrade to VIP which gets you early access, a drink at the bar and unlimited refills on wine and mixed drinks. They started us out with fried cheese stix and a delicious marinara. Chicken Parm was a generous portion served with pasta. My chicken Parm was unbreaded as I'm gluten free. It was very dry and although I told the waiter this, it came out with spaghetti. They were fast to replace it with veggies. The desert was an apple turnover. The food was ok, but the show was FABULOUS!!!!! Towards the end they present you with a great photo packet which was surprisingly inexpensive and included a newsprint, mugshots, two keychains and two shot glasses. I have been here a few different times and every time the show is different. Parking here is simple and easy. They take a souvenir "mug shot" photo when you enter the hall, but you are not obligated to buy it. The show is very entertaining and funny. There is humor, singing, dancing and audience participation. The actors do a bit of improve and feed off audience comments. The show lasts about 2 hours, with a 15 minute intermission in between. We did not get out there until almost 10PM. I do not know why they need the intermission. I know as a patron I could have done without it to speed the show up. I have done the show with and without VIP and think that the VIP was really not worth it. I did not see much difference from my General admission ticket that I purchased. The main difference between VIP and regular is that you get to your assigned table earlier and get to order your food earlier. The staff and actors here is very helpful and friendly. I remember when the place used to be an all you can eat buffet. But COVID has changed that and now your order a meal from a menu. I liked the buffet much better, but understand. Not being VIP, you get the scraps. They did not have a few of the meals on the menu available when it was time to place my order. I went with Momma's Trio. It was okay. Nothing to write home about.There is also all you can drink, including beer, wine and. a few signature drinks. The drinks are a bit watered down, so don't plan on getting smashed. They end your meal with some desert. For our show it was chocolate cake with cherries on top. Be sure to bring some cash to tip your server. They recommend $7/adult and $5/ kid as a tip, but that is not a law or anything, so tip what you feel the server deserves. Not all servers are created equal. This dinner show is very entertaining and very competitively priced (you can easily find a discount). I always love coming here when I am in Orlando with the family. This show is not for everyone. But before you start really complaining take a look at the price of the show and compare it to other similar ones. read more

I loved this show! My jello was jiggling as I laughed through the entire thing. People were complaining about the food quality and drink quality in other reviews. I'm not sure what they expected for the price and the type of event it was. Our waitress "Blondie" kept our glasses full the entire night! The show was hilarious and entertaining. We didn't have a 5 star meal, but it wasn't nasty. I had a panini that was on fresh bread and the meat and cheese were good. For my alcohol, I went with bud light. Can't go wrong with bud light. There was a menu of drinks that were included with your ticket. If you wanted something else, they did have a cash bar. They took our "mug shot" with an option to purchase pictures, key chain, magnets, etc. There was no pressure to purchase. I did buy the "mug shot" though because it was hilarious!
