I honestly was NOT expecting this to be as good as it was! I mean first of all, the place is HUGE! They give you about 90 minutes before the show if you want to come in and explore, drink, etc. There is a store, bars, armory with REAL weapons that you can buy, pre-show entertainment, and more! The show itself was spectacular! Stunts, sound and water effects, and a lot of crowd interactive type of competitions. I loved that the crowd was divided into different teams. Our server was so nice and attentive to our needs. We chose not to upgrade our meals (it was like $20/extra per person if we wanted steak instead of chicken), but we were impressed with the 3 course meal! It started with a Caesar salad, followed with chicken accompanied by veg and mashed potatoes, and finishing with a brownie. The chicken straight up fell off of the bone. I was also served like half of a whole chicken (I had to take some home because I was so full). It was cooked way better than I thought it would be. You can purchase appetizers after you get you salad for an extra cost. The drinks are good but can be expensive. If you're looking for a less expensive alcohol option, definitely ask about using their house liquor. I had to ask them 3 times for them to actually tell me it was like a $9 difference between getting it with their house vs premium liquor. I will say that anything you get from the bar or as an appetizer that cost extra already includes 15% gratuity. Nobody will tell you it does, but it will be written on the appetizer menu in a very light colored font. What I think is a little BS is that although gratuity is included for those, it isn't included for the server who is serving you the whole night. Had my first experience at the Pirate's Adventure Dinner Show in Orlando, and I went with my two sons. We had a great time! If you've been to Medieval Times, the concept is somewhat similar, but I felt this show had more of a storyline and much more audience interaction, which made the experience even more engaging. The show itself was very entertaining, and the set design was absolutely amazing. The entire atmosphere really makes you feel like you've stepped into a pirate world. The lobby area, designed like a pirate marketplace, was especially cool. There's plenty of pirate-themed merchandise to check out, and you can grab a nice drink from the bar before the show. The food was also surprisingly good and definitely added to the overall experience. Service was good for the most part, although there were a few moments when it was difficult to get our server's attention. We went on a Saturday and were actually surprised that the place wasn't fuller, but that made for a more relaxed experience. Overall, this was a fun family night out, and both of my sons really enjoyed it. We had the best time last night! If you're looking for something fun to do with the kiddos this is a must do! The show was amazing. My grandson(almost 5) was in awe of it all. He was scared to volunteer until he say the other kids up there than in the end when they called up the kids he ran and was the highlight for us. So many unexpected moments in the show if you're a first timer so I won't spoil it. But wow! AND the food was amazing. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and the chicken very tasty and hot. The brownie was great too. We all got our moneys worth and had the best time. I'm sure we all will remember this for a long time and we may even be back again in the future. Give it a try. Had so much fun on our last day in Orlando. Max was our server and he was very nice and accommodating. Please note your price for tickets, parking, and all the rest of the shenanigans do not include the tip for your servers bringing you your meals and refilling your drinks. Please tip them! The food was good , shockingly so, since it seems to come out from a school cafeteria in bulk order lol. The filet upgrade was with the price (thick and cooked to medium) the brownie was fine (dessert option) and the standard grilled chicken was good. All main courses came with a side of steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. The show was cheesy but thoroughly entertaining. If you have kids who love to participate and interact with the cast, the upgraded tickets to VIP (first two rows) is or treasure seating (guaranteed 3rd or 4th rows) allowed adults and kids to volunteer and participate in the show. Would recommend if you or your kids love that kind of stuff (mine did and had an amazing time)! I've done this experiences about 10 years ago, and then again recently about a week ago. The participation parts are interesting, but more apt for the young audience members. It's great for kids. Some of the other parts are a little chaotic and even the volunteers from our group were a little confused on their parts when it came to their turn to participate. The included food was about what you'd expect. We got salad served to us from large mixed salads. The chicken was variable in size, but they were all quite large. The vegetables were pretty much nuked from frozen and were unseasoned. The mashed potatoes were piped on and probably came from a bag mix. Then you get a nice little brownie at the end as a treat. You can also choose from soda or water and they'll bring you a pitcher with your stated option. If you're looking for more options, they have appetizers you can pay for or upgrades for dinner in the price you pay beforehand. You can order drinks at the bars before and after the event as well as during the dinner service. The show was a bit chaotic, but cheesy and goofy. There are some acrobatics: trampolines, a swinging ladder, and some rope work. My favorite was the mermaid's routine, very talented work! Overall, it's a fun night out and if you find a deal (which you usually can on a website or online somewhere), then it'd worth seeing once. read more

If you like dinner shows, just come and check the box off! Fun show with audience participation! The pirate theme is well done, and everyone stays in pirate character really well. All the drinks have pirate names. They have a pirate stuffie display to make your own pirate stuffie toys, a gold-mining area, a display of pirate weapons, and a bunch of other stuff to look at and play with. The show floor is smaller than other themed shows. So audiences are smaller, and character interaction is more frequent. Some of the lighting was a bit dated, but it works perfectly fine. (just an a/v guy in me being critical of stuff no one notices.) Lol At the start, they took some volunteers to help with the show. This is a great time to volunteer random people and pretend you know them. Like saying "pick my aunt, pick my aunt!" I didn't know that lady, however, she will always remember the good-looking guy who volunteered her on stage to make family photos and memories. The actors all did a good job. They all seemed to be having fun. Which is a great thing for this type of show! They did a good job trying to keep the kids involved. The storyline, well, it's not Disney they serve alcohol. So, I'm not really sure what the story was. I can tell you there was a mermaid, sword fighting, rope swing, and overall talent that makes me wonder how i failed at life. However, these poor souls are out at sea 7 days a week. Let's cut them a break and say awesome job, matey! The food, Can't complain. Didn't come here for a 5-star food experience. As a matter of fact, 20 minutes after sitting, the food wasn't even a priority anymore. Haha. I got the chicken. It was half an entire chicken. Like a Walmart hot rotisserie chicken. The bones pulled right out. The smashed potatoes were made in front of me by a 7ft tall pirate built like a Greek god who made eye contact while smashing these potatoes with his fist.... is how good they tasted. We visited the show for my oldest son's birthday, he has always had a love for all things Pirate....ARRRrrree. While I will say I have low expectations going into this event I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Everyone here was amazing, very friendly and welcoming in a way that could not help but get you into the buccaneer spirit! We had great seats even without paying for the upgrade (next time we will just to be close to the stage), and the actors were awesome. Very engaging with the audience and the story was just fun. The outside is undergoing some repairs, and I am honestly glad to see them putting the time, money, and effort into updating this little gem of an attraction. read more

Decided to check out the Pirates dinner while we were in the area, and it was super convenient since we could literally see it from our hotel. I had been to the Anaheim one as a kid and this was my guy's first time. We both love pirates, so of course we showed up in full character. Ambiance: 10/10 This place absolutely nails the vibe. There's a giant pirate ship outside, and once you walk in it really feels like you stepped into a pirate world. Ships, cannons, anchors, even little village style details. I loved everything about it. Service: 8/10 The staff were friendly, in costume, and a lot of them stayed in character which made it more fun. My only issue was with our server. She brought the wrong dessert and I could not get her attention to save my life. I get that it's busy, but she just wasn't very attentive overall. Food: 6/10 Food was fine. Nothing bad, just nothing memorable. We stuck with the basic meal, chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies, and ended up with a brownie instead of the cheesecake. It did the job while we watched the show. Show: 5/10 When I went to the Anaheim one as a kid I thought it was amazing. Coming back as an adult, this one made me realize it's very much geared toward kids. Which makes sense, but it definitely changes the experience. Also, I am not a fan of shows that make you clap constantly. This is one of those. Like please, let me enjoy the performance and I will clap when it feels right. Not after every single thing. That said, the acrobatics were really cool and probably my favorite part. We recently went to a 9-year-old's birthday party at Pirate's Dinner Adventure and had an absolutely fantastic experience! They had reserved a private party room, and the hospitality from the staff was exceptional from start to finish. They made our group feel welcome and took great care of both the kids and the adults throughout the event. One thing that really stood out was how much there was to do before and after the show. The kids loved watching and interacting with the pirates in the shop area, where there were sword fights and fun pirate antics that kept everyone entertained. It helped make the experience feel much bigger than just a dinner show. The show itself was incredibly entertaining. I got the standard chicken meal and it was very tender and pretty good. Unfortunately, our dessert was forgotten and we had to ask after our check was already delivered. It wasn't that busy so I think it was just an oversight, but it was not a great end to a fun night. My only real complaint is that it felt like there was way too many extra charge add-ons with the pre-show shopping area that didn't have any listed prices, the numerous food options, the picture options for both the preshow pics and post show pics with some of the cast and other items. I went with my family, we were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday. For the pricing, I didn't feel it was a good value. The food was dry and bland, the show was nothing special and the place wasn't even half full of people. It felt empty. The place also feels outdated. My 4 year old son wasn't entertained, he looked bored. Your ticket includes a salad, chicken and a brownie. The salad was the only thing I enjoyed. My kid didn't even eat the brownie, that's how subpar it was. For every little thing they wanted to up-charge. For instance on the kids meal it comes with chicken nuggets and a spoon full of Mac and cheese, I asked if we could switch the Mac for fries, they said no we needed to purchase an appetizer of fries. Ok we did. Also you have to pay for parking. If you think you're getting a cheaper rate on Groupon, think again. When you go, they make you pay taxes and fees which result in the same price you would've paid on their website. The picture they take of you, they charge $35 for 1 picture, 2 pictures for $40 or all pictures for $50. That pricing makes no sense to me. Overall, I wouldn't come back. I just really wasn't impressed. We're in Orlando, the capital of tourist attractions, there's too many entertaining places to waste this kind of money and not have a good time. Save your money and go elsewhere. The only reason why I'm giving two stars is because all of the staff were extremely friendly and I don't feel like my experience reflects their service. There is a parking lot attendant that welcomes you at the point of arrival to guide you where to park. It seemed like there are some outdoor additions being made. The check-in process for your reservation is pretty quick. The photo section I didn't understand why they asked to break up our group. Once you head into the bar section and gift shop area everything is decorated in the pirate theme. Some of the performers walk around to mingle with the guest which I think adds an extra touch of engagement that I liked. The bar attendants kept ignoring us, and we saw multiple groups being taken care of that arrived after we did which didn't seem fair. The seating was also a bit confusing because the numbers were available but not the letters on the tables. The show was superb! Really took me by surprise. I barely took pictures because I really wanted to immerse myself in the experience. The chicken dinner comes with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies and had great flavor and not overcooked. This was my first time visiting Pirates Dinner Adventure and I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was! Parking is spacious. When you enter the building, you check in, take your group photos, and then a guide takes you into the gift shop/bar area where you wait until it's time to get seated. The theming was detailed and fun. Just the right kind of tacky. We had fun looking at the trinkets and souvenirs. Seating is divided by color and each section has a pirate in the show to cheer for. Our waitress was great. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the show. While the dialogue was cheesy and some of the singing was pitchy, the acrobatics and water effects were really cool. The food was good. It was well paced. We got a Caesar salad, roast chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and a brownie. The chicken was very good. The brownie was hilariously tiny. They took volunteers from the audience and everything was very interactive. I could see this being very fun for young kids. Overall, this place was a hoot and we had so much fun. We had discounted tickets and I felt like the experience was a good value for what we paid. Everyone was nice and helpful from the parking lot to your table. Smiles and welcoming vibes was all around. The food started off with a Ceasar salad which was made with some fresh lettuce. This place is a fun time if you have kids! They are very interactive with the show and involve the kids. It is pretty silly if you're watching as an adult and the storyline has a bunch of holes, but the performers put their whole heart and soul into their performance. Their singing voices are very good! The good: The stunts and performers. The different acrobatics are really cool to see and the liveliness of the Pirates really kept the crowd entertained. We were on team purple and our pirate seemed to be more of the jokester of the room. The ok: The food was good. Minus the dessert but I'll get to that. The salad has an abundance of cheese on it, so if you like parmesan cheese you will love it. The veggies were pretty inconsistent among the plates. Some people got more broccoli. Other people got no broccoli and more carrots or cauliflower. I do like the audience participation, however I feel like perhaps when the audience is involved they shouldn't rig the games. Maybe have a separate game that at the end you can rig to allow the blue guy to win. However, it kind of kills the mood when you're trying your best and your pirate is throwing the game. The bad: the beginning gift shop has no prices on any of the merchandise. You end up having employees who follow you around to tell you the prices of everything but I don't purchase anything that doesn't have a price on it. Our server didn't bring us refills when we asked and then brought us the tip plate before bringing us the dessert. I had to ask if we were going to be getting dessert tonight as she placed her tip plate in front of us and she looked surprised and then ran back to get the brownies for all of us and apologized.( I understand mistakes happen but wanted to make sure I noted that in this review.) After buying the photo package we were told that for $15 we can take as many photos as we would like with the cast. Most of the Pirates were not included in those photos and you only got two photos. So we were misinformed. We probably wouldn't have spent the additional money for the pictures because they were very whitewashed and bad quality. Overall, I think if you're just looking to have a night out and don't mind the cost go have some fun. The performers are incredible and it's a good show to see once. Since the show doesn't seem to change, I don't think I would recommend seeing it more than once though, but you can be the judge of that. read more

I actually had an incredible time here with a large group for a conference social outing. As soon as I knew this was the event I started following them on Instagram and they are very entertaining on that platform so I knew I was in for a treat but wasn't sure exactly what the evening would entail. We were first greeted in a reception space as we waited for the main event. I will say the reception space was somewhat small and it definitely needs more lighting as there were a couple of people who tripped because they couldn't see the various tiered flooring. The bartenders and the reception space were great and we were provided really fun light up mugs to enjoy. There were some aerial performers that entertained us while we waited for the big show. They were interesting to say the least. The song choices were all over the place as was the costuming. I think the presentation could be a little bit more streamlined overall but the athleticism was impressive. Now onto the main event. The pirate show was engaging and so much fun. I love how the kids were able to have a moment and the adults could enjoy too. The wait staff was very friendly. We were given our choice of soft drinks inside and the steak and chicken dinner was filling and delicious. A lot of food, but well prepared when you consider the cooks are preparing en masse. We also could've ordered adult beverages with the wait staff but I did not personally do so. I did have the "Benjamin the Brave" cocktail during the reception and it was tasty. The cameraman was great and got the kids excited. The show was great especially if you have kids as the pirates interact with them and make it a night to remember. We booked tickets here for my husband's birthday as something that would feel festive but family friendly since we had the kiddos. The show itself was great-- really lively, talented performers with lots of opportunities for audience participation. The elements surrounding the performance left a lot to be desired though. I bought our tickets through Groupon, which at first glance saves about $100. But you have to call to make your reservation and give your Groupon info, and within that conversation you're informed that there are taxes and fees the Groupon doesn't cover-- another $51. We also had to pre-pay to park in their parking lot but I'll say there wasn't a parking attendant coming or going to check in with so that felt like an unnecessary money grab. When you come in you're immediately taken to get your photo taken in front of a green screen. When you finish, another attendant comes to take you into a sort of holding pen-- bars on either side with a gift shop in the middle. The prices were insane, higher than Disney gift shops even. But still cool to look around at some of the certified artifacts from sunken ships they had displayed. I peeked at the bar menu and noticed no prices listed, a sure red flag, so we abstained and went straight to our seats. The servers were great-- we had Emmanuel-- all really friendly and dressed in pirate attire. Pretty quickly after we sat a woman came by to sell us the photos we'd taken at the top. She wasn't pushy so it wasn't uncomfortable to tell her no thank you. You choose your entrees when you call to book your reservation but we decided once we were there to order another appetizer. They pull out an iPad and have you pay for it right then and there, which was strange. The food had bright spots but was mostly pretty terrible. We got the chicken and the girls got the chicken nuggets and Mac n cheese. The chicken was really good, seasoned great. The mashed potatoes had zero salt or butter or flavor, same w/ the veggies. I basically just ate the chicken. The kids nuggets were really awful too, but both girls inhaled the Mac n cheese. There's an option when you're making your reservation to upgrade your meal to steak or something allegedly more flavorful, but the upgrade cost is $20+, which negates the point of buying a ticket to a dinner show in my opinion. Towards the end of the show the servers come out and leave plastic credit card trays like you get in a restaurant at the end of a meal, except this just had a sheet of paper telling you the multiple hundreds of dollars you paid doesn't include tips for the servers, with a suggested amount per person in your party. They suggested either $7-$9 per adult and $4 per child. But there wasn't any QR code to scan if all you have is a credit card so I guess if the guests don't have cash, the servers are out of luck. Overall it was a cool experience but probably not one that I'd repeat. Maybe it's just been a minute since I partook in an Orlando tourist trap, but it felt money grubby and that took some of the shine out of it for me. read more

Where do I even begin. We had a friend visiting from out of town and wanted to do something different. We got our tickets off Groupon. I called to make reservation and was told our Groupon didn't cover all the fees- so I was charged another $35 dollars. We got to the show an hour before start time because I was told there were pre-show things. There wasn't. $60 for two alcoholic beverages. We were told soup or salad would be offered, only salad was. With everything going on with lettuce- none of us wanted to take the chance. We were never offered soup- the chicken dish came out and the mashed potatoes were so runny you can't pick them up with your fork. The chicken was ice cold and tasteless- as for the show... well they had horrible surround sound. You couldn't understand anything they were saying. Ten minutes in the party next to ours asked does anyone else need subtitles?! The waiter was none existent other than dropping a plate of food off and then a sliver of a brownie that was hard as a rock.... At the end tell us tip wasn't included and suggested tip was $8 a per person.... This was a money making racket and not worth a penny- soooooo disappointing read more

But they were amazing, extremely friendly and went above and beyond with their service. From the moment we entered the parking lot, the cast was busy greeting us "in character". The staff was professional and kind as we checked in. We enjoyed mingling with the cast and learning the pirate dance from the Orange Pirate. The well-rounded diverse talent of the cast was amazing and entertaining. The acting, singing, acrobatics, staging, and set supported a high quality performance that included audience members (adults and children) in multiple aspects of the show. We chose the standard chicken meal which was good. The Cesar salad was fresh with the chicken, potatoes, and vegetables hot and nicely seasoned. The dessert was a brownie thoughtfully plated with a decorative swirl of chocolate syrup. There are meal adjustments and upgrades available (for an added fee) for those interested. The audience was invited to take pictures and interact with the cast after the show was over. I think that was an extra fee also. We respect the hustle! We had a great time! The show was so fun! I loved how they had so many volunteers that everyone in my family got to participate at some point during the show. The atmosphere is really fun and just about everything is on theme. The drinks are strong and the food was decent. Not the world's best food, but it was good. From my experiences with medieval times, I kind of knew what to expect food wise. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I booked a month early and they convinced me to order the fishbowl drink because it had a special price that month and they told me they would honor that price if it was already paid for even if the deal had ended on the date we were there. This wasn't the case. They ended up giving me a gift card for the amount I paid for the drink and I used it towards another drink, but they also had a difficult time then redeeming the gift card. We arrived and were told to call a number to make us a reservation and the people on the phone would book our seat, & we'd get charged for service fees or something of that nature. Although I still saved money with the Groupon ticket I wasn't expecting to spend more money, which was pretty absurd. The show was barely filled so I also don't understand why we needed to make a reservation upon arrival. I had chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for my meal, it was pretty bad. The nuggets were not crunchy they were kind of moist and the Mac & cheese was such a small portion. We LOVED the appetizers though, that we had to pay out of pocket separately. The mozzarella sticks and fries were great. The show was really good as well. The actors were extremely interactive with the children. They ask for participants for the show, it's really so nice. If you have kids I would definitely attend. The gift store they have inside is also so cool. read more

What I expected, except didn't understand the plot. Overall good experience with only a few minor issues.

The show was very entertaining. Definitely with the money for that. The food was great. We added a turkey leg to our dinner. Everything tasted awesome. The Demi glaze hit the target with the dinner. I've never been okay leaving 400 on the table before. Flew to Florida from Washington, universal trip. Thought this would be a good break. Got the Groupon, upon calling for reservation they informed me of a added gratuity, as well as additional parking. So on top of the 300 for a family of 4, an additional 50 dollars. As soon as you walk in you are asked to take pictures, thought it was included as they didn't allude to any additional cost. They go through the trouble to print, frame, and make multiple sizes to the bring out, show you, but tell you its 60 dollars to get them. No thank you, then they make you walk into a shop full of cheap toys, this is a huge tourist trap. Gave us bad vibes the moment they said drinks were extra on top of the 400 we already paid (you pay for the food, but apparently drinks are additonal) Whatever, however the show was extremely reliant on audience interaction, mt children are very shy and immediately shut down. Not the performers faults, they were very polite and tried their best. The food, absolutely horrible, we got all varieties. My wife who loves pesto as well as my daughter, neither could get past 2 bites. My son's chicken nuggets were so soggy he felt nauseous eating them, with him, chicken nuggets are his primary food groups. We all make the decision to leave 25 minutes in the show, it was probably the worst financial decision of my life. We are not well off financially, this was meant to be a special occasion, it was so bad we ate the 400+ dollars as it was not even worth our extra hour of time. saw the low reviews after we already purchased tickets, but when we went there it was fun for the kids. The chicken was baked with a good seasoning, mashed potatoes had great butter and garlic flavor with gravy underneath which is good incase you're not much of a gravy person. Frozen veggies, well they were ok, but what do expect when cooking for a large crowd all eating the same time. Brownie for dessert was a nice touch for those dessert lovers. This place was so much fun! I can't tell you it's been a couple of decades that I've known about the pirate dinner adventure show, and we never seem to make it which is crazy because my son is an absolute pirate fanatic and has been his entire life. We decided for his 17th birthday that we would check out the pirate, dinner adventure and see what it was all about. In the other reviews you'll see mentions of up selling on everything and that's not incorrect. They want to upgrade you on your dinner and upgrade you with appetizers and upgrade your beverage package and upgrade your drink to include a souvenir cup but what do you expect? it's off international drive they catered tourist and they're just trying to make a buck. You can't really hate them for that. I will say that as I read in another Review oddly the gift shop has a no prices on anything if you want to know how much something is you have to ask and they certainly offer the service. Would you like to know how much that is or would you like to purchase one of those can we wrap one of those up for you, sir? You get the idea but again they're just trying to make a buck. OK let's talk about the show it's amazing and it's long I mean I'm talking like it's two hours long. I had no idea that it would be as live action as it was as good as it was or the fact that it would all be live voices, singing, and acting. These performers are serious athletes and it is a very active show. I'll also add that for the most part it's pretty darn entertaining. The stage is huge the cast is quite large they make full use of the set because you'll see the actors flying through the air on ropes, jumping into nets, and at some even paddling a row boat! Audience participation. Sure does make this great, and we got lucky because there was a local high school having one of their senior trips/events at the pirate adventure dinner theater that night so it was a lively group and there's no question that when they don't have a group of lame ducks for their audience. The actors are really into the show and excited to do it. We had a great time . My suggestions are pass on the upgrades. I'll mention the food briefly. It's mediocre at best but you're going for the show. They just happen to serve dinner that's the way I see it. I highly recommended the show. read more

beware of the hidden fees.. amazing show atmosphere, loved the experience! Sad to how they sneak in things to get your money... explains things really fast, not making it clear and tacking on auto gratuity, and fees on everything. You have to pay for everything separately at different times. As a family of 4, it ended up being $1000. Everything in the gift shop does not have a price. Two adult beverages and two kid beverages at the bar was $75 plus a 15% gratuity of nine dollars plus an $18 tip that they automatically added making it $93. Not included in dinner. They got a good thing going just not for your average working class family. read more

My husband and I came with his brother and sister-in-law. We were all "first-timers". Plenty of parking; the decor was cool. The service was good; the food was great. [The appetizers and drinks were a little pricey, but perhaps that's to be expected.] The show itself was terrific; very entertaining, high energy, and interactive. The only reason I cannot rate this experience 5 stars? The refrigerator magnets in the gift shop were $30.00??? Seriously??? Ridiculous... Other than that, I would recommend it. read more
