The show itself was spectacular! Stunts, sound and water effects, and a lot of crowd interactive type of competitions. I loved that the crowd was divided into different teams. Our server was so nice and attentive to our needs. We chose not to upgrade our meals (it was like $20/extra per person if we wanted steak instead of chicken), but we were impressed with the 3 course meal! It started with a Caesar salad, followed with chicken accompanied by veg and mashed potatoes, and finishing with a brownie. The chicken straight up fell off of the bone. I was also served like half of a whole chicken (I had to take some home because I was so full). It was cooked way better than I thought it would be. You can purchase appetizers after you get you salad for an extra cost. The drinks are good but can be expensive. If you're looking for a less expensive alcohol option, definitely ask about using their house liquor. I had to ask them 3 times for them to actually tell me it was like a $9 difference between getting it with their house vs premium liquor. I will say that anything you get from the bar or as an appetizer that cost extra already includes 15% gratuity. Nobody will tell you it does, but it will be written on the appetizer menu in a very light colored font. What I think is a little BS is that although gratuity is included for those, it isn't included for the server who is serving you the whole night. But none of this negatively affected my experience, I just want to make you all aware of this! I would come back for sure with some family who hasn't seen the show.

If you've been to Medieval Times, the concept is somewhat similar, but I felt this show had more of a storyline and much more audience interaction, which made the experience even more engaging. The show itself was very entertaining, and the set design was absolutely amazing. The entire atmosphere really makes you feel like you've stepped into a pirate world. The lobby area, designed like a pirate marketplace, was especially cool. There's plenty of pirate-themed merchandise to check out, and you can grab a nice drink from the bar before the show. The food was also surprisingly good and definitely added to the overall experience. Service was good for the most part, although there were a few moments when it was difficult to get our server's attention. We went on a Saturday and were actually surprised that the place wasn't fuller, but that made for a more relaxed experience. Overall, this was a fun family night out, and both of my sons really enjoyed it. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different and entertaining to do in Orlando! ‍

If you're visiting Orlando, put Capone's Dinner & Show on your list! This was hands down one of the…read morehighlights of my entire trip, and I enjoyed myself so much that I would absolutely go back. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, entertaining, and accommodating. The entire experience--from the food and drinks to the singing, dancing, and storyline--kept me entertained throughout the evening. I even got to play poker and take a souvenir photo! It truly felt like a full evening of entertainment rather than just dinner. And let's talk about the VALUE! The price for dinner and entertainment was extremely reasonable, especially considering that a drink was included with the package. Additional drinks were reasonably priced as well, which I really appreciated. Now, THE FOOD! I ordered the spicy sausage zucchini pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. I honestly could not believe how good it was! We also received bread with olive oil, which was a nice traditional touch. Dessert was included as well--an apple turnover-style pastry. My only tiny critique would be that I wish it had a little more fruit filling, but that certainly didn't take away from the overall experience. What impressed me even more was the exceptional customer service. My phone died during the evening, and they were kind enough to let me charge it. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my charger behind. When I checked my credit card later, I noticed that Capone's had issued me a credit. I can only assume they noticed I had left my charger and credited me what they believed it would cost to replace it. That gesture absolutely touched me. They didn't have to do that, and it spoke volumes about the type of people working there. It wasn't just great service--it was genuine hospitality and thoughtfulness. That's the kind of customer care you remember long after the night is over. The entertainment was fantastic! Between the dancing, singing, the entire plot of the show, playing poker, and taking my souvenir picture, I had SUCH a good time. In fact, I enjoyed the staff, food, drinks, and entertainment so much that I left one of the largest tips I've ever given at a restaurant or entertainment venue. That alone should tell you how impressed I was! If I could rate the experience beyond a 10, I'd give Capone's a 20! Seriously, if you're in Orlando and looking for something fun and different to do, GO TO CAPONE'S! Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your date--just GO! Come ready to eat, laugh, be entertained, and have a genuinely great time. Capone's, thank you for making my evening so memorable. You were truly the highlight of my trip, and I'll definitely be back!

We were a party of five at Al Capone's Dinner & Show on September 6 celebrating an engagement. My…read moreaunt traveled from Ohio and was especially excited because she had been to Al Capone's several times over the years and had wonderful memories of it. Unfortunately, what we experienced was nothing like what she remembered. Our reservation showed a 7:00 PM start, so we arrived at 6:30 as requested. From the beginning, everything was disorganized. We weren't told where the entrance was and ended up at the back of the line. Once inside, we waited in another line for drinks. Then there was no clear direction for seating. An employee eventually took our party of five to a four-top before another server said it wouldn't work and moved us. Once seated, someone asked what salad dressing we wanted even though we hadn't received menus. I finally had to ask, "Do we get menus?" The menu listed Italian wedding soup, which I ordered. I was told they might have run out after serving VIP guests, but then I was simply brought minestrone. When I questioned it, the server acted like I was mistaken and said the wedding soup must have been on their "winter menu." He picked up the menu to check and discovered it DID list Italian wedding soup. This was September 6 in Florida. If you're out of something, just tell the customer instead of making them feel like they read the menu incorrectly. The appetizer arrived quickly but was cold. Then came dinner. I cannot emphasize this enough: this was honestly the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. That is the God's honest truth. I've had meals I didn't like, but I cannot remember ever having an entire meal this unpleasant. Nearly everything with sauce was overwhelmingly spicy. It wasn't one dish. The food as a whole was terrible. When you're paying for a "dinner show," DINNER is a major part of what you're paying for. By the time dinner arrived, our drinks were empty. No one offered refills. No water and no additional napkins. I eventually GOT UP MYSELF, asked for a pitcher of water, brought it back and refilled everyone's water. I also had to get our own napkins. This wasn't just our table. Tables throughout the room had stacks of dirty dishes while dessert was being served. Guests had empty drinks and dirty plates everywhere. It was chaotic. We were told they expected around 60 guests but received 129 reservations. I understand being short staffed, but if you cannot properly serve 129 people, don't accept 129 reservations. Cap the reservations. Being short staffed explains slower service. It doesn't excuse this level of disorganization. When the server told us we could move to the stadium seating for the show, I explained that I had to get our own water and napkins because nobody was taking care of us. He asked how everything else was. We told him honestly that it wasn't good and we wouldn't be back. After explaining the problems with the food and service, his response was: "If the food was so bad, then why are you taking it home?" Yes, we asked for to-go boxes because we had paid for the food. We ultimately threw it away. His response came across as rude and defensive. An offer to get a manager would have been much more appropriate. He encouraged us to stay because the show was better, but we were done. We purchased tickets for a DINNER SHOW. Instead, we endured a terrible dinner and terrible service and were then supposed to hope the show made up for it. We left approximately 1 1/2 hours early. This was supposed to be an engagement celebration. My aunt came from Ohio excited to share a place she had loved with us. Instead, all five of us left disappointed. Even the souvenir photo added to the frustration. We waited about 15 minutes to see it, and my eyes were closed. After everything else, I asked if they could at least give us the newspaper-style photo without the additional $20 charge. We had already spent approximately $149 and were leaving 1 1/2 hours early. I was simply told no. There wasn't even an offer to ask a manager. What bothered me almost as much as the food was the complete lack of concern or effort to make anything right. I understand staffing problems, bad nights and running out of menu items. Any ONE of these things could have been overlooked. But this wasn't one thing. The entire experience was disorganized from arrival to departure: confusing entrance and seating, no menus until we asked, cold appetizer, unavailable menu items, the worst food I have personally ever eaten, empty drinks, no refills, no napkins, getting our own water, dirty dishes everywhere, a defensive response when we complained, no manager and leaving 1 1/2 hours early. My aunt had wonderful memories of Al Capone's, which is why we chose it. Sadly, none of us have any desire to return. We expected a fun dinner show and memorable engagement celebration. It was definitely memorable, but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

The atmosphere is definitely the highlight, and we were really excited to finally experience it since we had tried to dine here on multiple previous visits to Disney World but could never get a reservation. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the anticipation. They were already running behind schedule when we arrived early for our reservation, and we still had to wait at least 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. We were offered a regular table instead of a car, which they apparently offer to walk-ins, but we wanted the full "drive-in experience". Once we saw the inside, I'm glad we passed because the tables in the back looked like small, somewhat run-down patio furniture and would have taken away from what makes this restaurant special. Once seated, the car setup was really cute, but the restaurant itself felt like it could use some better upkeep. Our table and menus were sticky, which was disappointing considering the overall Disney experience you expect. There are two rows of booth style seating in the cars which you share with another party as a party of two. With two adults, the seating felt cramped. The food and service were the bigger letdowns. Service was very slow, and the food was overpriced for what we received. My Grilled Chicken Citrus Salad, which is normally a dish I really enjoy at other restaurants, was particularly disappointing here. Overall, the food just wasn't very good and didn't feel like it justified the price, even with the expected Disney markup. The lunch and dinner menus also feature the same items at the same prices. Another missed opportunity is the on-screen entertainment. Disney has access to so many beloved movies, cartoons, and shorts, yet the clips shown here felt like they could have been much more fun and varied. With such an amazing library of Disney content, it seems like there is so much more they could do with the screen and the drive-in concept. The concept is fantastic, and the car booths are genuinely cute and fun. Unfortunately, the execution just wasn't there for us. After wanting to experience this restaurant for so long, we're glad we finally got to see what it was all about--but based on the slow service, poor upkeep, disappointing food, and high prices, it would be a once-and-done experience for us.

The energy from the performers is contagious, and they do a fantastic job getting the audience involved, making the show feel interactive and unique. The food was delicious, and you definitely won't leave hungry since it's all-you-care-to-enjoy. Everything was served family-style, and there was plenty to go around, making it a great value on top of the entertainment. My biggest piece of advice? Save room for the strawberry shortcake! It's the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for a classic Disney experience that's filled with laughs, music, and great food, Hoop-Dee-Doo is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. While it's probably a one-and-done experience for me personally, I'm so glad I've done it--not just once, but twice. It's one of those iconic Disney experiences that everyone should try at least once!

Not sure what the big Hoop-Dee-Doo is... Unfortunately, the…read moreshow was more of a Hoop-Dee-Doo-Doo for me. Arriving in Fort Wilderness, the check-in process is very drawn out and poorly executed. It's amazing how simple every other restaurant in Disney can be. If you want your Annual Pass discount, you'll have to deal with a second long line. We were originally excited for a second floor seat, but the layout is just annoying. Swivel chairs line the railing, so you turn out toward the wall to eat and spin back around in a tight area to watch the show. The food could've saved the day being all you can eat and comfort foods. But the servers brought it out in the middle of the acts.. when it's pitch black and we are swiveled around... so it was cold by the time you were ready to eat. The all you can eat was accommodated by the server bringing out a full tray of each item and plopping down one or two items on each of their tables. The cast makes a huge deal with a musical number about the dessert... Strawberry Shortcake.. but it was honestly not the best dessert option. The show was definitely cute and old timey - with the whole place joining in a chorus of This Land Is Your Land and corny jokes, but I would highly suggest you leave as soon as you finish dessert. They hand out washboards and serving spoons to every table... which turns into a nightmare of banging and unnecessary showboating to gain attention from the characters. Was it worth marking off the experience? Yes. Would I suggest anyone venture to do it? No.

There was so much to enjoy, and our stay was definitely a positive one. There were a few things that kept it from being a perfect five-star experience. Our villa had a strong cleaner smell when we arrived, and the noise was a bit disruptive. We could hear guests opening and closing the patio door above us, and our villa was located right next to a staff cleaning closet, which created quite a bit of noise throughout the day. I also wish there had been beverage service at the villa pool, similar to what's offered at the main pool. That would have been a great added convenience! We were celebrating my granddaughter's fifth birthday, my grandchildren enjoyed the resort, and we were grateful to be in Florida making family memories. Those happy moments deserve acknowledgment--but so do the problems. The property is beautiful, the family amenities are thoughtfully planned, and the pool is the heart of the fun. The hot tub and convenient location were highlights, too. However, there were real cracks beneath the beautiful aesthetics. We initially stayed in a two-bedroom villa in Building 7. It felt dated, the carpet was visibly dirty, the garbage disposal did not work, and the space smelled very damp. We went out and purchased Lysol and a moisture-absorbing product to try to make it more comfortable. That should not be on a guest's vacation shopping list. There was also excrement left in the primary bathroom toilet when we arrived. It took more than two hours and a second phone call before someone came to clean it. Later, while I was showering, my mother saw an unidentified animal inside her bedroom. We ended up relocating after the first night from the two-bedroom villa to a smaller suite. Given these issues and the change in accommodations, we expected a price adjustment or some gesture acknowledging the inconvenience. No compensation was offered--not even covering parking. Checkout brought more frustration. We had questions about the room-price difference and the balance we expected back after incidental charges. The front desk gave an explanation involving our third-party booking, but it was not clear to us and did not resolve our concerns. No manager was brought over to help. We left feeling unheard. The food and drinks we tried were not a highlight, either. My apple martini was nothing to write home about. I can appreciate the wonderful time my grandchildren had and still be honest about where the resort fell short. A beautiful pool does not replace a clean, well-maintained room or attentive service when things go wrong. Auntie D's rating: Three out of five forks. Beautiful family memories--but the guest experience needs to match the scenery.
