    Sampler Plate
    Emma J.

    * Based on food/drinks * We went here the first evening we got into the hotel. We got the sampler plate, grilled chicken sandwich, classic burger, and chicken ceaser salad. We also had some cocktails which were all really good. The sampler had wings, pretzels, and mozzarella sticks, the pretzels were my favorite part but it was all good. The chicken sandwich was decent, a little dry in some parts. Burger and salad were reportedly good. The salad came out last out of everything and they told us that they ran out of chicken and had to go downstairs to get more which we thought was odd. Service was good!

After a long day of traveling this was a much needed meal break. The ambiance was cool! And while the food was "bar food" there were some items that were delicious! I specifically liked the mozzarella sticks and Buffalo wings. I wasn't crazy about the pretzel. They had a full bar so we ordered some of their specialty cocktails which we really enjoyed.

This swanky retro-chic bowling alley is located on the 2nd floor of Cabana Bay's lobby building. They offer a laid back atmosphere inspired by the charm of old school bowling alleys. They offer bowling, a full bar and a food menu, which isn't too impressive, but it isn't bad and does the job. The rate is $17 for adults and $11 for kids 9 and under. This grants you 45 minutes of bowling and includes your shoe rental. I'd slightly disagree with anyone calling this "cosmic bowling" since there is a difference between what they do at night versus what cosmic bowling is, but I'd still say I prefer Galaxy's retro-chic version at night. They also offer merchandise like t-shirts, hats, keychains and even a snazzy bowling pin cup you can purchase. As a heads-up: The venue isn't very large and they may still ask for reservations, so be prepared for that. There's only 10 lanes of bowling and naturally, that might mean it'll be crowded/limited either once the Universal parks let out or on a rainy day. Are there other places in the area to bowl? Sure. But the rates are very similar and honestly, if you're able to check out Galaxy Bowl, it's a pretty cool place to bowl at and you don't necessarily have to be a hotel guest to enjoy it.

This was such a fun way to end our vacation. The extra themed bowling games were exciting. Although he always beat me at angry birds haha.

A bowling alley INSIDE THE RESORT is awesome! And the food is pretty good here. It does smell a bit like a bowling alley and there aren't many lanes, however, the cozy bar offers a few seats and great service, with specialty cocktails not offered at other bars in Cabana Bay. The menu also has many items not available at the poolside restaurants nor the Bayliner Diner downstairs. Bowling on weekend nights typically requires a reservation. But walk-ins are much easier in the daytime & on weeknights. Yeah, its more pricey than your local bowling alley, but its just upstairs from the Cabana Bay lobby, and the decor is awesomely retro. Food service is hit or miss. On a recent Thursday night, we had an awesome server, and were disappointed to hear she would be off the next couple of days during our stay. The next day, during a lengthy rainstorm, we tried to get a late lunch & were ignored after being seated. We waited more than 10 minutes before heading back downstairs to the Bayliner. On this specific visit, we were also told seating a group of 3 was difficult, and we'd have to sit at a high-top near the entrance. As the 3 of us have worked in restaurants previously, we *assumed* (later) that he meant not all of the tables were open because not enough servers were on-duty, but we agreed that we might have been more understanding if the host had actually told us that. Overall, Galaxy Bowl is a fun option at Cabana Bay. The extension of the 50's-60's theme here is outstanding and offers an enjoyable vibe. Food & drinks are consistently great as well.

After a long day at the park we came back to the room got changed and had a wild idea to go bowling. We got there and, well,..,. we didn't go bowling but we did order some good food. if you are ever staying at the Cabana Bay beach resort, this is a recently found hidden spot with less people and good food and service!

Fun food, exciting 50's retro venue and enjoyable staff interaction. Get the right booth seat and you can have a fun time watching the Galaxy Bowl games while noshing on bar food and beverages. Teriyaki wings were tasty and the Celestial Blast cocktail was very good (two thumbs up!).

There are a ton of games on the 1st floor to keep you busy. If you have the time and energy, they have a whole 2nd floor of games to explore. They also have a bar and small bowling alley up there as well. I spent a couple of hours there playing some of the games that are included on the $10 card. They don't advertise it but you can get a game card for $10. You're able to play all of the games with a blue and green light an unlimited amount of times. There is a slight time delay with using the card multiple times so be patient.. My food was good customer service was good and I really enjoyed my time here. For our mains we got the Cajun chicken pasta and the power pellet sliders and they were delicious. The pasta was a recommendation from our server, Maz, and was probably the best thing I had! I went with my brother and sister-in-law, and the food was excellent. The lemon pepper dry rub wings were absolutely amazing--crispy, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. They were so good I jokingly wanted to bite my fingers afterward! I also tried the Honey Thai wings, but they just weren't for me because I don't really enjoy spicy food. That's completely a personal preference, though. The edamame was fresh and tasty, and the appetizers we shared were all very good. Even though the restaurant was completely packed, the service was impressive. I expected a long wait, but I was seated almost immediately, and our server kept everything moving smoothly despite how busy it was. The only downside is the parking. There isn't convenient parking directly in front of the restaurant, so you'll need to park in the nearby garage, take the elevator down, and walk over. The good news is that parking on the top floor is free. Along the walk, there were several outdoor vendors selling fresh fruit drinks, roasted corn, sweet treats, and small shopping items, which made the walk a little more enjoyable. Overall, this Yard House delivered great food, efficient service, and a fun atmosphere. If you're visiting International Drive and looking for a great place to eat, I definitely recommend stopping by. I'll absolutely be back!

Both dishes were expertly prepared and served by Neici, our server. The restaurant itself exudes a fine dining atmosphere, which is a pleasant surprise for amusement park fare. Neici guided our attention to the open window overlooking the protein preparation area, which provided an interesting spectacle of chefs and kitchen staff at work. Our dining experience would have been exceptional had it not been for the initial seating arrangement by front desk staff. Although we were the second party in line for the opening at 4 pm, we were directed to an adjacent window dining area where a large portable fan noisily circulated air onto our assigned table. The logic behind seating an early guest at this table is unclear, as the main dining area and the adjacent dining area remained unoccupied. The front-end staff's decision resulted in the loss of the restaurant's 5-star rating, not our server or the food. Our server, Neici, was exceptionally knowledgeable and pleasant, encouraging our return. She even recommended returning to City Walk after 6 pm for complimentary parking and enjoying the restaurant and parks' evening hours. We would welcome her service on a future visit.

The waitress explained the wood used on the grill, which tempted me to shift to the lamb chops. I asked for them to be cooked to temperature and they came out perfectly cooked, still moist and delicious. All of the meat is only seasoned with salt and pepper, which is appreciated for those who enjoy the flavor the grill gives. The mashed potatoes and the mushroom risotto was were also delicious.
