We went here based on the yelp reviews. The place is old with old objects hanged on the wall as decoration. Pizza is good and tastes fresh and nice . A bit too salty for my taste but good in general . Good size , wood burn oven, plenty of cheese and nice thin crust. It is a small place with handful of tables so more look like a family living room. I did not use the restroom so no comment on that. Over all nice experience. Nothing to complain about. read more

They've changed up the menu so now you can only order a 12 inch "personal" size pizza. Large pizzas are takeout only. A personal size pizza plus an arugula salad will cover it for 2 people. The pizza is still great and you can't beat the location to meet a commuting friend. read more

Got the margherita pizza and it was okay, a little bland. But what really was upsetting was that the delivery guy showed up at our house with no change (or at least he claimed to have none) so when I asked for change when paying in cash, he said he had none and pocketed all the extra money. Always order thru seamless. The prosciutto is the best I've ever seen on a pizza. A little pricey but the pizza is good until the pass view times. The problem is the delivery. It's been 15-30 minutes late the past two times. One time we were told that the pizza was already delivered but we hadn't received it. They redelivered it but it took 1 1/2 hours to get our pizza. Haven't been to the restaurant yet, but ordered from them several times while staying in an area hotel. The overall impression I was left with is that they are a place focused on letting fresh ingredients speak for themselves. Nothing too outrageous, but creative mixes of great flavors. For the pizzas... I tried the Loaded Pizza, the Sausage, Sweet Peppers, and Onion, and the Eggplant Parmigiana. My favorite was the Eggplant Parmigiana, but all shared some trademarked traits. A thin pizza with wood-fired crust that has a hint on char to it. It folds well and has a bit of crunch. The toppings are all top quality and all of the flavors of each come through. The challenge is that they tend to want to separate from the crust, but nothing that a good fold of the wide slices can't manage. I've also had a few of the salads... the Caprese features a nice large ball of mozzarella which is delicious, though the tomatoes weren't too memorable... I was a little disappointed for the price, but thought it was a good salad overall. The arugula salad (annoyingly misspelled on the website) was a generous portion of arugula mixed with apples and a tasty goat cheese, plus some walnuts and cranberries. I thought the olive oil used to dress was a little bland and it could have used a bit more balsamic... but it came off overall as very fresh and I would order again for sure. Then there was the fennel salad which is truly unique. Fennel, orange slices and parsley seemed like a risk when I ordered it the first time, but I will get this every time from here on out. It's crunchy and tart and sweet and just one flavorful bite after another... different and delicious! Though not your typical NY slice of pizza, it's got a great bistro feel to it that is great if you're looking for something a little bit lighter without compromising on flavors. read more

Well who knew you'd go to New York and end up eating in Italy. This little restaurant tucked away by the Port a Authority is the real deal. By the time we left we felt like family. Great wines, we had a chianti. Starters the aracancini. We've been looking for authentic rice balls every since we went to Italy, delicious with herbs. Antipasto with warm bread, excellent. We ordered three pizzas, which are personnel size and split them, the prosciutto and arugula, the loaded and the mushroom and cheese. They were heaven, the crust was superior. The cheese and other ingredients were of the highest quality. Dessert, regular cannoli, tiramisu and an olive oil and truffle cannoli. They were beautifully presented and all delicious, but I'm not exaggerating when I said I dreamed about the olive oil and truffle cannoli. Everyone at the table was moaning over it. This is why we Midwesterners go to NY to find hidden gems like this. There were six of us. Make a reservation and enjoy. read more

We dropped in quick for an afternoon snack so we the experience was really involved enough to speak to a 5 star rating. However, this was an EXCELLENT choice. We had the margarita pizza - just delicious! Great crust, sauce and cheese was beautiful with wonderful basil on top. Also had the fennel salad with orange and it was so refreshing and fresh. We also had another type with eggplant and olives but they use kalameda which is too strong. A fresh green olive would have been better. That one was just ok. We were in Times Square and looking for pizza. We got on Yelp and found Capizzi. This turned out to be a great find. It is a small restaurant with lots of character. The service was a little slow, but everyone was friendly. We ordered a caprese appetizer and two pizzas (perfect amount for three people). We had the artichoke special and a pepperoni pizza, both were great. All in all, we will be back for more pizza. read more

This place caught my eye on Rewards Network. The first impression is a cute little hole-in-the-wall. So cozy and authentic. This is an old-world kind of place. Pizza was DELICIOUS!!! Fell in love with this restaurant on a trip. Wonderful service, amazing food, and sangria that is to die for! My mother and I went on the recommendation of our hotel. Our waiter was very sweet and checked in with us consistently without being over bearing. Both of us shared the antipasti, and each a pizza, and sangria. First time here. Had the prosciutto and arugula pizza. It was a very good, personal size pizza. I think they all are personal size (about 12") unless it's delivery. This is not your typical chain-store delivery pizza. The place is small with seating for less than 30. I thought the service was friendly and prompt. Wine is a little expensive but not outrageous. We asked them to remove it from the check and then they made us wait another 20 minutes for the correct check. If only I had had correct change.
