Absolutely delicious! We yelped this place because it was close to where we were at. Small establishment. But we got lucky and there was a table open when we arrived. We were greeted right away. The server got our drinks fast and was ready to take out order. Good service here. She was also helpful with recommendations on helping us make a decisions based on all of our preferences. The pizza we ordered came out super hot and looked delicious. Presentation was very nice. We are from California, and the pizza was as good as we hoped New York pizza would be. Pricing was super affordable, the establishment is clean, the ambiance is nice, the decor is creative, the service here is awesome and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and cute (and with a live sax player tooting out covers of pop hits!), all a welcome surprise adjacent to Port Authority. The fried balls appetizer was crunchy and melty in the right places, but then they felt like they sat like stones in my stomach. The Messina pizza was loaded with roasted eggplant, salty olives, and an interesting unmelted ricotta salata cheese grated over it. The pizza was complete and detailed, but not my favorite, so I'd try another. read more

Rude staff. We went last night to meet some friends who were already dining there. The waiter was hesitant to sit us together so I told him whatever is easiest, we're ok with doing. The place was pretty empty, not sure what the issue was. He then proceeds to tell me that for a party 6 or larger the tip is included in the bill. Mind you this is before we're even seated. The service was solid, but it might be because we were sitting at 5:00 before the small place filled up. The pizzas were all fresh and tasty. They used a real wood burning brick oven which creates a great char taste. I recommend the burrata and focaccia for apps. The wine list is limited so don't expect much for a $40 bottle. Bathroom is a bit lacking in tidiness, but overall a clean place directly under the PA buildings on 9th avenue. My son and I started with the fennel salad and then on to the pies. I had a sausage, my son had pepperoni, caramelized onion and mushroom, which is a featured combo for $18. Very nicely done true wood fired pizza, YUM. I would come back, however as some have noted, some of the items do feel overpriced. It is hard to have a generous meal here for under $50, we had no alcohol, and our bill was, $52 for two. Everything is not perfect! I went there with my friend. They had available tables but we waited 15 minutes for a table. We wanted the arugula salad. There was no goat cheese in the salad, no salad dressing! It was a dry salad. I can't say they made the perfect pizza. Because I ate better pizzas at another Italian restaurants. Came in here after biking on the riverside trail (or whatever it's called). We were hot and tired and hungry. This pizza is delicious. Lots of meat on the meat pizza and lots of fresh basil. Fantastic thin crust. Really hit the spot and we'd all eat here again. Lots of cold water provided and a clean bathroom. It's location leaves a bit to be desired, but the interior with low lights, music and a/c made a perfect atmosphere after a hot, summery bike ride. read more

The decor is charming, and the staff is so kind and friendly. They'll answer any questions you have and are such down to earth and amiable people. My boyfriend found this place on yelp. The pizzas are personal pizzas, and we devoured it because it was so good. It was thin and crispy! So yummy. He got the Loaded pie and I got the prosciutto and funghi. We ended with a slice of their tiramisu. Our slice was a solid chunk, and it was so good. I've been to places where the alcohol isn't fully baked out or the flavors are imbalanced, but this tiramisu was amazing. We will definitely be coming back! Five stars is rare for me- but this one was properly earned. We stopped here after a show and were pleasantly surprised. Small place- homey like a family kitchen but with a large wood fired oven in the back. We were greeted by friendly staff in a prompt manner. I ordered my standard glass of Chardonnay and hubby tried to order a Corona but they brought him a Peroni nastro azzuro which ended up being a great lager. We ordered the Arancini spinaci and it really knocked my socks off. Four heavenly balls of rice, spinach, garlic and cheese that were perfectly fried, came to us in a very cute handled saucepan. I asked for a side of marinara and was accommodated. Honestly the arancini was excellent without the sauce- both ways were good. We then got a small special spinach pizza that came to the table with that perfect char you can only get from a wood fired oven. The crust was tender, airy and had nice crispness from the oven. Excellent ratio of spinach to cheese. The basil leaves on top were perfect. This was a really happy trip to Hells's Kitchen. Fantastic food and great decor! read more

We were craving food italian pizza a and lazy cooking on a rainy weekday night and ordered at this place. I had seen it before and it looks like a nice cozy family pizzeria. It was pricier than most places but the pizzas also looked awesome. So much for a disappointment ! Pizzas arrived in 40 minutes, which beat the ETA (we live at 10 minutes walk) but... they were cold. We had ordered supplement s (prosciutto, cheese and sweet sausage) that were not there. Our pizzas looked sad... We contacted them and got a replacement... on the express condition we returned the 1st delivered pizzas ! :-) No apologies or little attention to make it up to us. Man, thats a damn good pizza. Ended up here on my visit from a recommendation of a local friend . Popped in here with open seats available on a Saturday night. The guys who work here are super chill and helpful. The mission here was to try the pizza, so we got the OG Pepperoni Pizza ($15) and their Truffle special pizza ($25). The pizzas themselves are all personal size, and they let you know this when you order, so it was no surprise when the pizzas showed up in front of us. The Pizzas themselves were thin and perfectly crispy. The pepperoni pizza was cheesy as can be with really good thicker pieces of pepperoni on them. The Truffle Pizza was pretty good, but not that great. They didn't use actual truffles just truffle oil, which to me is really just a perfume. It smelled amazingly truffly, but there was no truffle flavor there, but the pizza itself was solid. We had gracious service from Will, who was running the whole front of the house by himself and never lost his composure, speed, or positive demeanor. My dining companion enjoyed the pizza more than I did. I thought it had good crust and was obviously very fresh... but was a little wet, possibly from being heavy on the sauce. (The sauce itself lacked complexity; it tasted like tomatoes and nothing else. If there was seasoning in there, I really couldn't detect it.) I have eaten here several times at lunchtime with a friend. It is a smallish casual place, decorated eclectically with a 1960s theme. It has waiter service. The main draw is the wood burning brick oven which makes a beautiful, thin crust pizza with a touch of char around the edges, crisp crust, and tongue burning super hot cheese, sauce and toppings. I tend to get a plain Margarita pizza which is delicious. My friend usually adds some toppings and enjoys that, as well. I usually get the house Pinot Noir which is delicious. Occasionally, I get a cannoli which is freshly made and on point. Service is excellent and the price is mid-range for a quiet Manhattan restaurant. If you would like to sit down and have a conversation, I would recommend this place over the typical take out, or counter service pizza parlors found all around the city. read more

Authentic New York pizza at a great price. This little, hole in the wall restaurant, could easily be overlooked; however, if you are in the area, be sure to stop here. The ambiance is charming, service is great and most importantly, pizza is delicious. Aside from pizza, try the sangria. It is not super sweet, but a nice option aside of typical options for drinks. We missed this little spot when we were looking for it, it was so easy to miss yet crazy how we missed it. walking in there is limited seating (if you are a bigger crowd) but it was perfect for us two. Waiter (young man with brown hair and tats) did not say one word ( literally one word at all!) to my sister, brother-in-law and I the whole time we were there. He just approached our table and we knew to give him our orders for drinks/food. He was the only waiter in the whole restaurant and in between checking on tables he would hide behind a corner near the restroom and play on his phone.. the margherita pizza, however, was divine. Wine is good as well, but overpriced ($13 for 1/3 of a glass) and the original glass given to me had lipstick stains all over it so I had to ask for another glass! So, check your glasses and silverware beforehand. Also, the restaurant has no air conditioning whatsoever!!!
