Drove my grandmother 4 hours up here to look at a 2017 Mercedes. Car was in worse condition than expected and even had been in an accident and poorly repaired. This would have been nice to know before the long drive. After checking the vehicle out for myself I found an uninstalled nut on the upper control arm mount bolt, even though the vehicle had "$3,600" worth of inspections and servicing by their "technicians". Couldn't even test drive it very unsafe. Glad I was there with my grandmother before she drove and bought that death trap. Would not recommend buying a used car here and definitely wouldn't recommend getting work done to your current vehicle here. On a more positive note Alex was very helpful and tried to work with us throughout the whole ordeal.

So let the Yelp community figure this one out, I certainly do not understand it. But from what do understand a classic bait and switch is going on here. 1) Asked daughter to inquire about a standard transmission flush. 2) Daughter receives quote from dealership (Item A) 3) We converse, she tells me that the quote is for $190. 4) We go to drop off the car at Capitol Toyota Salem. 5) Service tech pulls up quote, then as we hand over keys, tells me that the service will cost $351 - this was a VERBAL. (hmmm) 6) So we leave, on way home I asked my daughter about the quote she received and then shows me the quote, it says $190 7) Go to pick the car up and inquire about the original quote. 8) The service tech indicates that the quote does not include parts. 9) What parts? The actual transmission oil. (lets refresh - see Item A) 10) It clearly indicates - "JB7WS - World Standard Fluid Exchange INCLUDES up to 10 quarts of toyota world standard auto trans fluid. 11) I point this out to the service tech and ask for a manager. 12) The actual invoice includes line 10 above and then another line item including the the transmission fluid for $159.90 13) I then talk to the manager and ask him to review item A, he does and agrees that it clearly says transmission fluid is included in the in the quote. Then I show him item B and he had to really think about this, completely taken back and off guard. 14) He then asked if service tech quoted me item B price when we dropped it off and I said YES, but as I went home I reviewed the original quote and did not understand why the original quote is $190 and includes the transmission fluid. Even item B INCLUDES the transmission fluid. 15) After going back and with manager, he stated that "I was splitting hairs" What the heck?? - Splitting hairs?? After going back in forth, I was in shock and ultimately left with a 10% off, but a very uneasy feeling of being taken for a CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. I invite Capital Toyota to respond to the review and further explain how the original quote does not include the transmission fluid. ANY THOUGHTS?

My most recent purchase from them and definitely the last vehicle.

Best place for a quick and good priced oil change. Aquapel is also a great product for when it rains.

They were able to finance me even being out of state and the vehicle being older. Worst part of the experience was the salesman, I had been communicating with, did not show up the day we had planned to meet AND had misquoted my APR. BUT they made it right by lowering the price to make up for the difference. When the salesman was a no show, Allen (a different salesperson) was quick, courteous, professional and zero pressure to buy extras. Thanks for the great experience!

I test drove it and it drove great. I ended up purchasing it straight out cash because I didn't want payments but I don't have enough to get any type of warranut they only offered me one for 3 months that was 250 and I didn't hav anymore money after buying the van. he knew I had to drive back 40 min home with kids so for that fact knowing what was wrong with the car is so beyond shady to me. Like are you a dad? How would u feel if that was your kids and mother of your kids you should be ahead of yourself . I get home It drive great the whole way I put it in park after turning into my parking spot and a light comes on that says EPS BAS and I was like hmm that's strange I'm a girl so I didn't even know what that meant. I turn the car off and turn it back on to see if it and t away and the car would no go it of gear. Now it's stuck in park with that light on my dash and I litterally drive it for 30 min before not being able to use it after paying 5200 cash for this van. I have never felt so ashamed and scammed in my life. I'm a single mother and bow I have no way to work I have no money for a car and I have a car I can't fix that I just bought. I'm so sad and I hope people are bangle to see the lot for who they are so they don't get scammed. I would hate for another person to feel how I'm feeling right now. I hope karma finds its way to them because I'm just out of luck and there's nothing I can do about it.

And they wash every area they can get to heads up..... when after a week of owning it started showing signs of failed gaskets(ie rear pinion seal, front diff cover) I talked to them about it and they basically said that it's your problem now.... This was hard to write a negative review on a couple young guys trying to make something for…read morethemselves but I felt like I needed to based on my experience this morning. To keep from making this too lengthy, I'll just give you guys some advise: When someone calls on a vehicle to make sure there won't be any surprises, be honest. The tires (especially the front) where in horrific shape, the body on the rear passenger side had some recent shoddy work done to it with a satin finish on a high gloss truck. Kinda stood out. Jimmy rigged wiring to a navigation system that no longer worked, and a thousand more miles than listed after only "3 weeks" of owning it. I asked Victor 3 times how long he was working from that specific location. He said 18mo. I immediately asked again and he said, "well, like a year". I said that I knew they had only been in the building for a bit over 2 months and he replied, "well, it's more than 2 but maybe like 8 or something." I specifically asked and was specifically told everything was working great and there would be no surprises. There was some more stuff but I don't feel like writing it all. The moral of the story is to be upfront and I could have delt with it for a better price or just not wasted either of our time.

The major issue: they clearly damaged my bumper while removing it to complete the repairs. Not only is there a crack, but also fracture lines in the paint. I reported this immediately, and hours later they called me claiming they had "noted the damage" when my vehicle was first brought in. I call absolute BS. My vehicle has never been in an accident, fender bender, or even a curb scrape. Then they doubled down and said the manager saw it on arrival, yet that same manager doesn't answer calls or return voicemails. Wild how none of my paperwork mentions any damage, and nobody said a word during the entire process. Adding notes after the fact to cover themselves is shady and dishonest. This vehicle was purchased through them along with the extended warranty they sold me. Imagine a dealer charging such premium labor rates that the service contracts they sell don't even cover their own rate. If they're going to pay themselves premium rates, repairs should be completed on time and vehicles should be returned in the same condition, or better, not damaged. Instead, I got premium pricing, zero accountability, and my car back with damage. Fix one issue to create another... Guess thats their idea of job security. And if management shows up on this review claiming they have "no record" or that the damage was already there: double-check your own records. I've already called. I've already asked for proof. Produce the original notes and photos from drop-off, not backdated, adulterated paperwork added after the fact. I'll be reporting this experience to every outlet I can to save someone else the headache. Roberson will never get my business again, on either sales or service. Best of luck to Alex, he seems like a good human working for a shady employer.
