Over the past 40 years I have learned that the absolute lowest deal isn't always the best deal. I spoke with Lou (owner) about a recent offer and he provided his best offer. Knowing his past installations as well as being available, we decided to take his offer which was a little more costly. The installation went off without a hitch. The kids are so happy that they both have new Mohawk Silkstrand carpeting that is fluffy and soft. Wife is also happy that their was no issues or concerns. We were very disappointed in the installation and service we received from this capital tile company! We had the salesman come to our home in Boca Raton and we just had new hurricane windows and doors installed. Back in December 2024 the salesman spent about 2 hours with us! We wanted blinds for 8 windows and 5 sliding doors. The sales person quoted price of $3,400 (not a small order) We went though the holiday and by end of January 2025 we still have not heard about or blinds. My wife called the number on our order sheet and after a run around and about 30 minutes waiting they found our order. They said that it was delayed at the port due to the holiday! Finally on 2/29/2025 we got a text from their installer! They were coming to install. I wasn't home and my wife let Andres in to do the work! If it wasn't for Andres (the installer). I would have sent any other installing back to the warehouse! Andres installed our blinds everything was great but two (the kitchen window and the sliding glass door off the kitchen) were not the right size. So back to the warehouse they went. Another month went by and no call. I text Andres and he said I needed to contact the store. I called there to find out Gabriel (not the owners son) either left or was fired !! This took another month to find out when Andrea arrived the blind for the kitchen slider was broken ! Finally after all the BS and lies March 20, 2025 we got all the blinds we originally ordered back in December 2,2024 Over 4 months is ridiculous to have to wait for this project! Plus to add insult to injury the people at Capitol Carpet & Tile and Window Fashions charged my credit card for the final payment without telling me, plus no discount for our problems and the TV commercial says they will call us to see how the install went. Stay away single ladies! Bad install the first time. I had to help with install since they were short one person. Had to be pulled up and redone. Took 5 days instead of 2. Second install has buckling seams. Contacted manufacturer who said this laminate has "Puffy Seams" Bull crap! They banged the planks too hard. Anthony is not honest man! And manufacturer didn't want them to do job 3rd time.THey send inferior installers to small jobs. Big jobs get the better installers. I had better luck at Home Depot and it's cheaper. I heard lots of bad stories from others since. Company takes advantage of single ladies and small jobs. Puffy seams my ass! They don't stand by their work. read more

It took a long time to receive the shutters but they were upfront about that from the start. The installers were great. I rarely if ever write a review whether good or bad but feel compelled here. We started the relationship this past November purchasing a roller blind, draperies, and California Blinds (Plantation) for all windows in my house. Duane was in fact a very good salesperson and I appreciate all of his efforts. It was his knowledge that sold us on Capitol in the first place. Unfortunately it is just over 5 months later and we still have issues regarding the manufacturing of the Hunter Douglas Luminette draperies. The product required multiple visits by the installer to correct issues ranging from inaccurate measurements (reorder necessary), the incorrect ordering of the drape's orientation (stacking side was wrong on two of three panels - reorder necessary) and the manager had to come out and take pictures for the 3rd time to show Hunter Douglas that the end of two of three panels are visibly bowed due to an insert used on the end vane. We purchased Hunter Douglas, which is higher priced than other products we considered, and are disappointed with the response received from the manufacturer. I requested a visit from the rep to show what it looks like in the field and they said they do not do that. Capitol should fight for their customers and do not. After the final service visit a couple of weeks ago, Collette has not even called back to ask whether the issues have been resolved. I would not recommend Capitol at this time and the bowing at the end of our Luminettes remains unresolved yet we have been charged for the product. read more

After hiring capital tile for two different jobs, ( both over six thousand dollars) I would never recommend them. Nor try Again. Anthony in Boca is a good salesperson. But he has to hand project over. To Mark and he hands it to installer lot got lost in that process. First was tile On back deck, some issues but we solved them. Not the cheapest but fair price. Now the bad part second project two-bedroom floors in Mohawk Laminate. I was told just move any breakables. the rest would be moved and replaced by contractor. As A senior citizen with a few medical issues That worked for me. It never happened at four pm when crew had to leave, they said sorry cannot put some stuff back. I said Ok see you tomorrow, they said no - got another Job and handed me an extra bill of $619 for concrete work they forgot to show me. I called Capital none had an anwserr the story goes on and i sent it to Lou and pictures to Anthony Lou the owner emailed me .and apologized. He offered me a gift certificate to my local Restaurant. I thought a donation on his part to the likes of world kitchen would be good. Lot of hungry folks in the world never heard from him again. I sent him a e-mail no reply. Terrible experience. Paid top dollar for tile project was lied to the entire time. Capitol advised they have their own contractors on staff when they came to the house they were hired subs that work for other companies. I asked and paid for extra tile and they said they used all the tile and didn't have extra and it was up to who measured the house to do it. No communication with the sales person and the sub..They also told me they would install the baseboards (why we went with them for everything) but wouldn't paint the baseboards before installing. Now we have to pay for a painter when we could have had it done right the first time. Great sales people but should have know better with all the bad reviews they had. They could have made it right and pay for a painter to paint the baseboards but no..Also hidden fees when it came to leveling. Do not trust them and use a true floor company that does the work direct...they are crooks!! read more

1)We ordered 2900 square feet of laminate flooring per Capitol's measurements in Boca Raton on Glades Rd. Their install price was higher than anyone so we decided to use a 3rd party. Once installed, we had 6 boxes and 8 pieces of trim left over. We called them back and they said our installer didn't do it correctly and there was no way would have left over. We asked for a refund on the unopened boxes and they would not provide one. 2) Recently we noticed a buckle in the floor. I called Capitol and spoke to Carl who asked me to take pictures and send email to him and he would have the manager take a look. The manager called and said that he would call us back and never did. Allen called back a week later and said he was still working on it. Week 3, I called Allen and was told he just left and the person would have him call the next day. Two days later Allen called, said he was working on it and would follow up he has been out ill ( Understood). One week later Allen called and said that since they didn't install the floor, there was nothing he could do? I asked him why didnt he say that a week ago? Spending a few thousand dollars there and they want the business but they can't help when needed. I say, save your TV marketing money and figure out internally what the Hell is going on! The quality of the installation and professionalism of the crew was outstanding, as was the initial help in selecting the tile. The issue here arose when tile arrived for installation and I was asked to 'sign off' for final installation. I raised concerns to Capital Tile crew leader on site that I was not satisfied that this was color I ordered. It looked darker and more beige than what we had seen in store (and what I showed him on my phone). He convinced me this was the specified tile and color. When installation was done (we were out of house for two weeks due to dust, etc.), I became more convinced it was different than samples, but knew there was little recourse. It's a beautiful floor and installed well, but when the owner of Capital Tile called me for feedback on project some weeks later (a nice gesture), I shared that I was happy overall, but that color match was an issue and that I believed sample in store is not representative of this actual tile color. She promised to follow up with store, but I never heard back. I called local store manager directly and told him about the issue, and he promised to have our salesperson (Anthony) bring sample over to our house for comparison. I explained I was not looking for any recourse other than making sure this doesn't happen to next person. Again, I never heard back. Now weeks later I just called again, and salesperson claimed no knowledge of the issue... until later in same call he changed story and said he thought I had brought sample of my extra tile into store and issue was resolved (which was not the case). After 3 phone calls I finally have promised appointment to come over and bring sample to my house to verify match. Bottom line, they've turned a reasonably satisfied customer into an unhappy one from their lack of follow-up and unwillingness to own and follow-up on the issue. read more

He showed us different samples of exactly what we wanted and quoted us a fair price. He was meticulous in the way he wrote up the order, and he came personally to verify the measurements. I hired capital carpet to install Hunter Douglas luminette motorized blinds. It was a very poor experience so far . it's just far too involved to go into the specific details but Lou the owner of caiptol carpet told me to contact Hunter Douglas. Lou said Hunter Douglas always prefers to hear from the customers but they have done absolutely nothing with the problems that I've had. I even put in a complaint with the florida attorney general's office and Hunter Douglas has done nothing. They have blamed their inability to resolve their luminette motorized blind issues all onto covid and claiming they don't have anybody to look at my issues in my home. so as far as I'm concerned it's basically back to Capital One carpet and tile. So far nothing. I would stay away from Hunter Douglas or anybody that sells their motorized blinds. look at the better Business bureau reports on Hunter Douglas before you buy anything from the Hunter Douglas line. Just had my job completed. Wow, a 2 day job turned into a 5 day job and I still have a mess in my condo unit. Why you ask it took so long to complete. Well, if the installation crew works a part time day, the job goes on and on. I never heard so many excuses from a contractor then I heard from Capital Carpet & Tile. A different crew every day. No continuity of the job, how it finally was completed is a miracle. The sales presentation was great, Nick was a very good salesman. However, when we called him to help move this job a long, we heard more excuses. The installation crew was sloppy, glue on my wood entrance floor and on the closet doors of my office where the tile was being installed. Prior to using a grinding machine to cut the tile, they failed to install plastic to protect my furniture, TV on the wall and items in my closet. What a mess. The Installation Lead guy promised a clean job, they failed to tell the actual installers. No respect for my property. I requested that the Installation Manager call me, no calls. I have all the text messages I sent to Reubens, the Lead Installation guy that came to my house, promised an easy, clean, and timely job. Never happened. And I still have a mess in my house that I need to hire someone to clean. One last bit of information. This job of 182 sq. feet was a test prior to contracting with Capital Carpet & Tile for a 1100 sq. foot job. Guess what, Capital will never see that job of over $ 15,000. read more

We had already found the tile we wanted at another store but being new to the area wanted to shop around. We stopped in and found the same tile but it was quite a bit more. The sales person was helpful and professional. He told me they would match the price for the tile and also convinced me that their installation was the best in the area. It was quite a bit more than the competition but we decided to go with them. It was a mistake. The installer showed between 9-10 each day and left for a couple hours each day for "class". He then left by 4-4:30 each day. He did not respect our house. He made a mess not only in the rooms he was tiling but also in the hallways, garage and yard. Since we were just moving into the house we had had it freshly painted. We had grout on the walls, baseboards, and in the hallway on the walls. I understand it's a messy job but this was beyond expected. The Tiler refused to clean up his mess in the garage and outside so the movers could move our stuff in. We had to move it. I called the store and reported the issue. The next day they sent out a different tiler. They said he would paint and fix the mess. He did compete the job and was much better. However, his idea of clean up was scraping the baseboards and walls. I told him to stop as he was taking off the paint and damaging the wood. I did not hear back from the store until they wanted payment. When I told him the paint was not fixed he said "but I can assume you will pay this in full. " I told him yes I would but I was very disappointed in the installation. He offered to deduct $100 from the total but this is not close to what it cost us to have the painters come back. If you want to just buy tile it's a good place but I do not recommend using their installers. They make a large mess in many areas and don't respect your home. read more

I would NEVER buy anything from this company. We ordered custom drapes from them and it has been a nightmare from the day we placed the order. First, the salesman, Joe, charged us $500 more of a deposit than was written on the invoice and it was never refunded because we'll "owe that in the end anyway." Then my "rush order" came 4 months later because they couldn't locate the drapes. They admitted they were supposed to be in the warehouse but couldn't find them. We had been calling non-stop about them and getting a return call back is extremely difficult. But I also doubt if we hadn't kept badgering them the drapes would've ever gotten here at all. Finally they were installed this past Thursday and they are too long. The installer showed us the paper with his measurements and then the paper of what Capitol Carpet inputted and they wrote down the wrong measurements in their system. Even though I read some unfavorable reviews about CC&T, I decided to go in and get an estimate on blinds. I had all the measurents with me & I clearly stated what I wanted. I was given a quote and agreed to have someone come out to my house. Unfortunately, when Joe came to my home, the price sky rocketed from his original quote in the store. Strike One. When I asked about the 36 month financing they advertise in their commercial, I was first told yes, then a few days later, was told they don't offer 36 months on blinds, only 12, even though thats what he originally said. Strike Two. And nowhere in the commercial does it say that restrictions may apply. StrikeThree. Don't do business here. They don't stand by their word or even by their dumb commercial. read more

The worst company I have ever dealt with. After ordering laminate flooring which they said they had, I waited 2 months before finally getting it installed. They cancelled installation dates so many times due to not getting the required insurance documentation to my condo office. Then, because my condo had a copy of the required proof of insurance already, I decided to order plantation shutters with them, figuring it would be easier now that the documentation was in our office. WRONG!! In 5 days, they have cancelled twice and no one called me. I will start with the positive - the final product and installation of our wood floors is great! We love the look and the installation crew was professional and did a great job! However, the process of getting to this end result was frustrating. We ordered through Jacob in the Boca Raton location and when our original product came in defective and was already being installed, the installers brought it to our attention. When calling Jacob and us recognizing it was a manufacturer defect and no fault of his own, he was still unprofessional, rude, and never once offered an apology for the issue. Our new product came in and was installed a few weeks later. Jacob called to collect the payment balance. My husband thanked him for his efforts in ultimately getting us the flooring finalized, and instead of thanking us for our business or acknowledging the frustrations, he simply replied "yup". After spending thousands of dollars on a product, customer service is key. Jacob was curt and offered zero understanding or courtesy. For that alone, I would not recommend this company. Flooring is a HUGE investment and with other options available in the local community, take your business elsewhere, where it is appreciated! read more

Everyone isn't perfect and mistakes are made. But it is the way that the problems are resolved that makes a store stand out. Capitol Carpet and Tile is one. After an excellent reference from a neighbor whose wood floors were installed by Capitol, I chose them to replace my tile floor. Anthony was the salesman and was able to understand the look I wanted and guided me to the perfect tile. The tile installation design was on the diagonal and laid out symmetrically with no flaws. Each man who work the job was courteous and professional A few problems arose and each time, Anthony and the contractor would come back, decide how to fix it, and execute the repair. Unfortunately, one problem kept arising with the grout and wasn't being resolved with just a spot repair. Feeling a little frustrated by the time the last grout problem arose, I found my original paperwork where the guarantee stated "24/7 access to the owner" with his email and phone number. So, taking their word, I called Mr. Morano. We spoke about the issues that I was having and I stated I would like my grout redone rather than continuing to spot repair. Within an hour, Mr. Morano called me back after speaking with the others involved and advised Capitol will regrout and resolve the issue. Within two days, they finished the replacement and my floors are absolutely beautiful. Capitol Carpet stands behind its guarantee of Customer Satisfaction and ensure each job is professionally designed and installed. This was a home project that I had started and not finished 2X's in the past 2 years. The first time I was not impressed with any of the stores that I went to. I couldn't decide on a product and the salespeople were of no help or just plain disinterested. The second time I found a floor I liked at that "Big Box" store that everyone recommends but I wasn't comfortable with the installation process and it took forever to get some customer service. This time I went to Capitol Tile. I brought some samples home. When I returned the samples we made arrangements for someone to come out and measure. That was done quickly. The problem is that my salesman never followed through providing the quote. I waited a week thinking illness or vacation time could have prevented him from calling. Never had a phone call or email. Once again I said forget it. While over in Boca Raton and saw a Capitol Tile store so I stopped in and told them I had seen a material I really loved but the salesman (same store, different town) dropped the ball and I had no interest in working with him. Anthony Venezia from the Boca store was the best. He showed me the flooring, checked the computer for the measurements since all my information was already there. He emailed me a quote quickly, and I was on my way to beautiful new flooring. This was one of the best home improvement experiences I have had. The installers Frank and Phil showed up right on time and were the nicest guys. I called Anthony and thanked him for sending these two installers who acted like charm school graduates. They were polite, respectful, hard workers, and made this whole experience a pleasure. They did a wonderful job installing my Coretec Pro Plus vinyl laminate flooring. Everyone who sees it thinks it's a wooden floor and the best part is it's waterproof, not just water resistant. Can't say enough good things about Capitol Tile, and by the way, the bottom line was very similar to that other "bargain flooring warehouse" store. Insist on having an installer come to your home so you get a complete estimate. After an estimator came to my home, on the day of installation I had a BIG surprise. My entire floor needed prep, at a an additional cost of $2100. Can't stop the job because the flooring has already been ordered. I am pleased with the installation, but poor customer service and questionable business practice. read more

I visited the Glades Road Boca store for laminate flooring for 3 bedrooms. Was greeted courteously and shown various samples. Salesperson told us he would personally come out and measure and we could bring samples with us. We selected two or three possibilities, and were told to arrange for the bedrooms to be measured. Returned to the store. We asked for our salesperson and told that he was off. I said he wanted to measure our rooms, and was asked how I wanted to pay the $35 fee. Was a little taken aback because i was not told that there was any fee, but I paid it and someone,-- not our salesperson-- came out to measure . Returned to the store a third time. Our salesperson was there; wasn't quite sure which floor we had selected; asked if we had taken home samples and reminded him that he had not given us any. Told him I thought I needed to shop some more and asked for the measurements, He handed me his business card with the total on it instead of the schematic I had paid for. I had to insist several times to receive the actual sheet with the dimensions of each room. It tuned out that the measurements done by Capitol were wrong. They measured 470 feet. Actual was 502 feet. I ended up buying elsewhere. Got equal quality laminate and installation for $1,000 less than Capitol's estimate. read more

I am not giving a 1 Star because they did honor a flooring warranty on wood that had dark spots emerging due to water coming up through our slab. Alan, the store manager in Boca, was very helpful and did facilitate this for us, and we are appreciative of that. However, I wish I would have been told by them in the beginning that putting wood on a first floor in Florida isn't the best idea. That being said, the replacement process was awful. We were told the 1 bedroom that needed the damaged wood removed and replaced with tile that looked like wood would take 2-3 days total to complete the job. The demo alone took that long. They came late and left early. It was jack hammering and sawing for 3 days and they made no effort to control the mess. No plastic put up, and literally no attempt to clean it. The foreman actually informed me that they are not a cleaning crew and it is my problem. My husband complained to the foreman after they left their lunch garbage in our garage and we had to clean that up. We cleaned for hours with inch thick dust on blinds, fans and baseboards. Weeks later, I am still cleaning up the fine construction dust all over my house. It was so much and so thick, it actually burned out our dyson ball vacuum. Even when they finished the job, they didn't even try to clean up the grouting residue on the floor. Literally no attempt or care. Again, I was told this is my issue. The work they did was nice on the install and they did respond to all calls. They were rough in the closet on the shelving and drawer system I have and I had to have it repaired. I also had to have the entire room repainted, which I was not planning to do, because the jack hammering of the wood marked up the walls and base boards. This review made me really torn. Overall, I would likely not use Capitol again. They are expensive, and I found them to be very disrespectful of our living space. We recently replaced the floors in our house with new tile from Capital Carpet & Tile. Our sales representative was Anthony Venezia. He is professional and knowledgeable. Anthony was very patient, took a good deal of time with us and helped us make a tile selection. His knows the products well and gave us great guidance including encouragement to take tile samples home to see them in the place where they will be installed. I would recommend Anthony to any new customer. Our installation team was led by Gilberto Possebon. This team worked day and night to get a rather large job done in a week. Gilberto went out of his way several times to see that the project would stay on time. When we entered the store I started browsing and my wife approached the desk area. The women seemed to be finishing-up a sale with another customer and the man was on the phone.
