A MUST TRY! My fiancé and I were staying locally while driving to Capital Reef National Park. We both got the pulled pork/pickled jalapeño(cream cheese burger and split a large fry (more than enough food for us even after starving from hiking all day!) While staying in the Torrey/ Capitol Reef area, my wife and I stumbled upon Capitol Burger while looking for a spot to eat one night. Being from NY, we are incredibly critical of food, especially burgers. That said, and no exaggeration, this was one of the BEST burgers I've ever had. It was simply incredible. Don't let the fact that it's a food truck deter you. In fact, It was so good, after I finished my first burger, I order a second, and enjoyed it just as much as the first. The ingredients are of the highest quality and the burgers are made to perfection. It's evident that the chef/owner, Luke, is incredibly dedicated and has a real passion for what he does. Road tripping through Utah and points beyond we have been subjected to various quality of restaurants and fast food places along our route and I have to tell you that Capitol Burger lives up to its reputation. My girlfriend tried the mac & cheeseburger and was overwhelmed how good it was. As for me, I tried the bacon cheese burger and was equally impressed. I know they grind their own beef but what impressed me was the bun/roll it was served on. I don't know if they bake their own rolls but it really stood out as a component to their burgers !!! If you happen to be traveling out through Torrey, Utah and want a really great burger this is the place to stop, hands down a great burger. Don't even think twice about Capitol Burger being a food truck, this is brilliant food made by clearly very gifted chefs. These were the best burgers we've had in decades if ever. For me this beats the best burgers in Los Angeles, NYC, anywhere in the Southwest. We've been all around and eaten some great, great food at some world class restaurants and this food truck is world class. My wife and I found Capitol Burger on a last minute search for dinner in Torrey. We were on a road trip just passing through coming from North Carolina and went for the Pulled Pork Burger and Mac and Cheese Burger. Holy pulled pork - NAILED IT. These are some of the best burgers we've ever had in our lives. Full of flavor but not so greasy that the bun get's soggy. Pulled pork was unreal and could have been it's own sandwich it was so good. Trust us - we know BBQ! Mac and Cheese was just the right amount of everything. Best part - I wasn't even feeling like a burger for dinner but this looked so intriguing we just had to try it.
