All in all, it's an innovative way to manage banking, when physical locations are mostly unneeded. I did enjoy it most on sunny days, where the large windows make the views interesting. Nestled in the newer CBD ("Central Business District", that is, lol) side of Downtown Denver, the Capital One Cafe is located in the first level of a modern high rise. The landscaping leading up to it is beautiful, makes it enjoyable to have a cup of joe inside of out. The space is very contemporary and quite big. There was steady business throughout the time I was visiting. We enjoyed seasonal Fall flavored coffees and some lunch sandwiches. Neither was worth writing home about. The coffees were not strong enough and despite asking me what size I wanted (and I said the largest) I still got the same size as my company's, which looked to be "grande" at most. The sandwiches were dry and not very flavorful. I was hoping to find a cafe that would at least beat Starbucks in terms of offerings and taste, but sadly, this one ain't it. read more

This was my first experience at a Capital One Café! What I really loved was receiving half off of my coffee drink for being a capital one member! It definitely made you feel special in this space. I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte & it was very flavorful. It falls in line with what you'd expect a pumpkin spice latte to taste like, so I'm happy I could get my fix! I also ordered an avocado toast. It tasted good, but the presentation wasn't as adorable due to it being an aged avocado (darker turning brownish). But, hey tasted good & I felt good after at least! Listen to me. This is my favorite coffee in Denver. In a city full of Pablo's coffee this and Kaladi roasters that, Verve coffee blows them all away. YES it's dope to walk in here and it's HUGE with wifi and awesome staff, but you can also get financial tips and help from the Capital One ambassadors. I don't use my card very often but I do when I'm here cause you get 50% off the handcrafted drinks. Which are, again, the BEST. I have become a semi regular and as much of a pain in the ass it is to park down in this area of town for a prolonged period of time, paying to park is worth it. WFH is awesome here. As a frequent patron of Capital One Café for 6+ years, I always enjoy my bevvies! The people are friendly, the place is super clean, there are always fun seasonal activities or giveaways. While they have Capital One staff on site to aid walk in's with any banking needs or questions - they never try solicit cafe guests. Love their VERVE coffees, hibiscus tea and I recently discovered their homemade hot chocolate, made from melted mexican chocolate - ohh wee! Delish! I've never tried their food, but their menu looks tasty. I recently stopped in to the Capital One Café in downtown Denver for a warm drink before walking over to the stock show parade. The space is open and very well lit in a perfect business part of Denver. There is a coffee shop and plenty of tables and chairs to work remote. The noise level was medium, but they have individual pods you can go into for either a group meeting or just a quiet place to get some work done. The Capital One employees were not pushy and did not try to sell anything when I was there. The coffee shop whips up great coffee which you can get 50% off if you have a Capital One card. There's a couple street parking spaces close by but that is the biggest issue getting there. Overall, I would definitely stop in again and try and work remote here for a change of pace. read more

This is essentially just a regular Peet's coffee shop that happens to have some Capital One branding, a representative or two to answer banking questions, and some awesome huddle rooms to do work...no need to be a Capital One banking customer! The staff here is amazing and so friendly, and I love that they brew Peet's coffee since the one Peet's Denver location closed a few years back. One of my new favorite spots to get my coffee fix. Capital One was awful when dealing with a dispute. Took many hours of my time. I'm a senior, not too tech savvy. Was unable to send documents using their link. Spent hours on phone. They would not let me send as attachment which I can do. Told me to mail them in. Said I would get a grace period due to difficulties. I did this. Heard nothing so called 16 days later. Said they didn't get them. Then, the very next day they say that they just got the documents but will decline my legitimate dispute because I didn't get them the documents in time. Also said there is no such thing as a grace period. Many more hours of wasted time on phone. So I am out a significant amount of money. I'm a venture card holder, Paying $345.00/ yr. and a long time card holder. I am cancelling my Capital One CARDS and am getting a cash payout for my large amount of miles earned (.50 on the dollar). I have almost perfect credit score so should have no trouble getting credit cards elsewhere. The cafe may be good, but the company is awful. They need to realize that not all seniors are great with computers and make accommodations. But only if they want to keep them as customers. read more

I used to go to my credit provider for my breakfast egg bites and my morning coffee like three days a week. What credit providing company can even retain a customer like that, and get brand exposure like that? Then they MUCK it all up- first, by removing all the food, and second replacing the espresso company from Peet's to something else with really bitter inexpensive tasting beverages. I used to be so excited to bring people to Capital One Cafes all across the country , and now I don't talk about the brand to any one at all, and I never go myself. This review is for Capital one in general. I have been a customer for quite some time. I have a credit card with a decent limit. That credit card comes with an annual fee.I recently was offered a credit card with them that does not have an annual fee. I don't know why I have to apply for it, since I am already well established but, I applied for it. I was approved at less than 1/3 the credit limit of my other card with capital one. I requested a credit limit matching the other card so I could transfer the balance and therefore close the card with the annual fee. It was not approved, even though I am well established. So, I will pay off the credit card and then cancel ALL my capital one products; since they don't want to help long time customers. read more

I disagree with Capital One's policy to not manually review credit card applications. There is no reason that two professionals with long-standing excellent credit scores should not qualify for the Venture card. Refusing to look at applicants above the computer algorithm to look at how systematic student loans have trapped individuals and prevented them from being able to overcome computer algorithms is unacceptable in this society where student loans are a crushing issue. Everything in the credit bureaus shows in good standing with well above 700 score, the only thing holding back qualification is student loans. Why doesn't Capital One have a human that can discuss a manual review? I do not recommend Capital One and you should not waste having your credit dinged for the hard inquiry when despite what their website says, you will not qualify for a credit card even if you have excellent credit scores and repayment history. read more

Peet's coffee - the best! Great staff. Right next to the Kimpton Hotel and Union Station. No tipping because they work for the bank. My espresso Americano must have had more than 2 shots because it had wonderful depth of flavor. I appreciate that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. read more

The cafe is generally quiet in people traffic, low key music selection and acoustics so I've been able to concentrate and take work calls here. The service is friendly and unpretentious, and that counts for a lot these days. The WiFi is fast and does not require a log in code. Coffee is free Monday's and Fridays when you bring your own cup (and why wouldn't you in today's day and age), all drinks are 50% off when purchasing with a Capital One card, and they run loads of special events and "happy hours" for special occasions so you could catch a free meal from time to time.
