I am updating my review for triple A specifically for Erin Sceales, who I had the displeasure of…read moreworking with in 2023 regarding an accident that I was involved in where the party she represented lied on record that I was at fault even though I had video proof they admitted to fault at the scene of the accident. Read my previous review for details of that experience. This is a review of how careless Erin and/or triple A was in closing the case. After paying me out for the damages their party caused, they sent a report to LexisNexis and failed to identify who was at fault (clearly not me). Fast forward to 2025, I received a letter from my current insurance provider stating i had a nonchargeable at fault accident because the report was incomplete. I called and worked with LexisNexis to dispute this and even they acted surprised an insurance company would make such a mistake to leave that information out on a report. This matters because the information on the report could have affected my eligibility and rates for car insurance for the several years that I was not aware of the incomplete report. It would not be hard for me to reach out to triple A directly to get an explaination on their carelessness. Stop messing with people's finances!

Much like a dazed accident victim, I didn't really know where to start the mitigation and insurance process, at the time. After having been treated by the Paramedics, I called the Roy's Towing phone number that was left by the driver to me. It was a little late but I wasn't able to take some important personal items and that'll be critical for my work, so I called the number. Here's the very unfortunate thing that added insult to injury, an older man picked up the phone at about 10 or 11 PM .... very rude and bad-tempered. He lectured me that I called the Roy's Towing number that was only intended for police officers. So I said, I just needed my personal items from my car and explained that I am a first responder too. He began screaming asking me a question, "are you a police officer?" You cannot use or call this number if you aren't a cop, do you understand? Engaged up the phone right away and knead of directing me to the right number, just slammed the phone. NO ONE is impersonating or pretending to be a cop, I will never want that job, with all due respect but isn't the job of a Roy's Towing owner or driver to help those who are I situations where they might not know who to turn to during accidents? As a first responder myself, I always make an effort to ease the tension and anxiety of people under such circumstances. Roy's Towing owner or driver at that time was NOT a good contractor for the SVPD, they are the worst example of public service and customer service. Oh by the way, I was hit by a lady who accepted fault and who cased the accident. There were many witnesses present and the SVPD was on site during the accident! DO NOT USE ROY's TOWING from Simi Valley, they are the worst service people anywhere! Let's not patronize rude and disrespectful people who don't care about their customers!

However, the column moved loosely, and the car would not go into gear. Upon my description over the phone, Lebec knew exactly what was wrong, and said he would be right there approx (30-45mins faster, and cheaper then tow). I had called some other mechanics who said they were too busy, didn't want to go, or told me they would help me in the morning. Lebec roadside managed to patch us up well enough to get us back to work on the road. We will see another mechanic for the needed part in the morning as He told us to. The Lebec Road service mechanic was professional, honest, and knowledgeable, all the things you want in a mobile mechanic. Thank you Lebec Roadside!

Only after hooking me up and putting me on the flatbed, and as I was sitting in the cab with the driver, he handed me the phone to his dispatch. The dispatcher said AAA does not cover commercial vehicles. I explained it is not a commercial vehicle. It is my personal daily driver. They then said the van had to be emptied to be towed. I was in Santa Clarita needed to get it to my car alarm installer as I thought the issue was with my aftermarket car alarm not my battery. They charged me $350 to go 25 miles. We called AAA and they said this is not the case. I have filed a complaint with AAA. Screw you, Castaic towing for the predatory practices. Obviously zero stars of available.
