Highly recommend G.G. Mobile Mechanic! Augustine and Johnny came out today to diagnose my car, and we had such a great experience. They took their time thoroughly testing and inspecting everything related to the codes we were getting instead of just guessing and throwing parts at it. After another mechanic shop turned us away because they didn't have the proper testing equipment, we called G.G. since we'd had a great experience with them in the past. They were able to come out the very next day, communicated clearly, showed up on time, and were extremely reliable. Both Augustine and Johnny were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything they found in terms that were actually easy to understand. They pinpointed the problem and told us exactly what needs to be repaired. Once we get the parts, we'll absolutely be having them back out to install everything and finish the job. It's so convenient having a trustworthy mobile mechanic come right to your home. Great service, great communication, and no runaround. We will definitely continue using G.G. Mobile Mechanic! read more

Was thinking of buying a car almost 2 hours away in Bakersfield and wanted a Pre-Purchase inspection of my prospective car on the weekend. The guys at GG were prompt, went to the car lot within a couple hours, took a ton of pics, got all the codes, found the car was likely broken into by pry marks on doors (that were not visible on website pics), was likely in a non reported accident NOT on Carfax (non factory hood and re-paint), and had tons of faulty codes! Saved me a trip and big piece of mind! Thx guys!!! read more

I needed some work done I had all parts available they sent a so called mechanic that smelled like weed he seen my truck and told he needed extra tools and never came back read more

Absolutely unprofessional. Not recommended ive been trying to get my bmw fixed for the past 3 weeks. Sebastian tells me he will send me the codes from the diagnostic that i paid for already took him a week and multiple calls from me to even get that. Then he tells me that his boss forgot to order the parts and further delays the process. The company's communication skills are complete garbage the tell me they will call me back atleast 5 times and no call back I have to constantly call everyday to make sure they do what they tell me they will do. I tried to get a refund yesterday and the boss put me on 3way with Sebastian to rectify the situation and confirms a 9am appointment that I had to take off work for and no call no show again. I called the boss at 11 no answer, so I reach out to Sebastian and he tells me that they had a no call no show with one of there mechanics with the FedEx account so he got pulled to fill in for that and left me hanging dry for the 7th time. I wouldn't trust these guys to change a tire let alone take on a project on my vehicle. Be cautious with this company. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I expect my money back today for the bs diagnostic your mechanic can't even name the type of hose hes replacing .. its embarrassing.. read more

GG and all of his mechanics do the job right for a fraction of the price they charge at most auto and service dealerships. He is mobile so it's super convenient that he comes to you and fixes the issue. He has done my front and rear brakes as well as an oil change. I won't trust anyone else for the job! read more

Absolutely incredible experience. If you are broken down anywhere in the area, absolutely you should go to G.G. mobile. We had engine problems right before Grapevine, gave GG a call. They immediately answered and had a diagnosis (spark plug problem) and incredibly fair quote instantly. Made our way over there, GG and Sebastian greeted us and were genuinely the most friendly people we've met in the past week. From when we parked, they had us fixed up and ready to go in under half an hour. I cannot stress again how much they did to make a stressful experience into a completely painless and even enjoyable one. The absolute best experience I've ever had taking my car into anywhere, thank you so much again GG + Sebastian, you guys saved our entire trip read more

G.G. got us up and running. There was a decent amount of work done. New alternator, new water pump and fan clutch, new water pulley, new belt and a new oil filter housing gasket on a 2003 BMW X5 3.0. It was a lot of work and the car has been running great since it was done and price was good. Would recommend! read more

Amazing service! Driving from the Bay to LA and got stuck off of 5 in Bakersfield with my car shuddering at 1am. Went into panic mode and reached out to several other 24 hr auto repair companies with no answer. G.G. Mobile answered right away and set expectations on what he could do at that time of night and kept me updated on his arrival via text. He quickly diagnosed the problem and did the best he could to get us on our way. He was very patient and explained the issue and what needs to be done throughout the interaction. Told us how we could save money on the fix instead of taking advantage of a desperate situation. So glad everything worked out- would highly recommend! read more

I hired this mobile mechanic service for a pre-purchase inspection on a car I was considering buying from a used car lot (Auto Village), and I'm extremely glad I did. From the start, communication was excellent. I spoke with who I believe is the owner a couple of times prior to the inspection, and he was very down to earth, honest, and easy to talk to. He explained the process clearly and made me feel comfortable asking questions. The day of the inspection, I texted them just a couple hours beforehand with an estimate of when I thought I'd be ready. Once I was ready, I gave them a call -- and within 10-15 minutes, they arrived, which honestly exceeded my expectations. The mechanics who came out, NK and Mikey, were fantastic. Both were friendly, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. They took their time inspecting the vehicle and explained what they were seeing in a way that was easy to understand. Most importantly, they were honest -- even when the findings weren't good news. After NK and Mikey left, the owner personally called me to apologize for the bad news and to recommend other vehicle options that would be better choices. If you're looking at buying a used car, I can't recommend getting a pre-purchase inspection enough -- and I highly recommend this team. They saved me thousands of dollars and a lot of stress. Honest, responsive, and genuinely good people. read more

My daughter had taken her honda to get serviced at Honda Dealer in Davis so that we make the trip safe from UC Davis to LA. They did not put back the plate shield after an oil change and halfway through our drive we had to pull over at a gas station in Bakersfield because the scrapping was so loud. All the Auto shops were closing and GG were quick to come to us and help us! They gave me a quote, estimated time of arrival and came to us and got us back on the road. They were great!! So helpful for anyone out there stuck on the road. Call them!! read more

G.G. Mobile Mechanic - Running back as it should after GG's touch ! - Auto Repair Near Me - Bakersfield, California

was in difficult situation when my battery and alternator stopped working today in Bakersfield. I live over a 100 miles from where my suv broke down. G.G. Mobile Mechanic were recommend by AAA driver. G.G. Replaced my alternator and battery in 1.5 hrs in the 7-Eleven parking lot. They were honest and polite. I'm not a car guy but I assume I paid more for their mobile service, but was happy to do so. The final cost for all the work and purchasing new 3yr battery and new alternator with a life time warranty was just under $900.00. The tow from AAA would have been $1,200.00. I would recommend G.G. If you find yourself stuck as I was. I am also in a wheelchair which has its own set of issues when stuck in 100 degrees heat with no air conditioning. This also was a reason they worked so hard to get me back rolling. Thank you. Brent P. read more

These guys were awesome. My car died at the Costco gas station in Bakersfield and I needed to get back home to Fresno. After two failed jumps I thought it was going to be the starter or something worse. I called them and they came out within 30 minutes. Come to find out it was just the battery. His son was very helpful and made sure it was only the battery that was the problem. After the battery was changed the owner even called me to make sure everything was all good. Great service. Honest prices and quick response. I am definitely going to recommend them to my friends. read more

Absolutely great service. Helped us out in a pinch. Mechanics arrived within 20 minutes of us calling and solved our issue in another 20 minutes. I just needed a basic tune up on my vehicle. I usually do it myself but didn't have time and the tools. Called up G.G and they responded right away. They picked up the parts I needed for my tuneup and drove to my house and installed it no more than one hour in my parking lot. Been to a lot of mechanics in town (Bakersfield), I honestly have to say even tho they are a mobile service these guys get it done! and at a fair price. They also handed me the receipt for the parts and for the repair. I usually don't leave reviews, but I felt these guys deserve 5 stars. I highly recommend them if your vehicle breaks down and needs repair or for a simple maintenance like I did. Wanna save yourself some time and $$. Do yourself a favor and call G.G. Your car will thank you for it. I'll be calling G.G on my next repair guarantee that! read more

They are my savers. My car has low tier pressure in 12am and I have 4 hours left until home so I came for their aid. They was very nice. The tire had a crack that was beyond fixable so they call other road service which has tire to come and change it for us. They didn't even ask for any money, we only have to pay for the other service because they thought the price was too expensive and they didn't do much after all. read more

GG helped us out at midnight 1:00 am to tow our crashed car to their shop, and can also supply repairment or car junk service.

My kids car was overheating and we towed it to many places in town . It was supposedly serviced at Pep Boys white lane and it broke down before they got home . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company, I will not ever use anyone but G.G. mobile mechanic! Thank you again for helping my family , much appreciated and highest of recommendation!!! read more

Originally I found a guy on craigslist to do the brakes on my vehicle. Communication with him was OK but he was a no-show twice. I decided to get on Yelp and found GG Mobile Mechanic. G.G. Mobile Mechanic helped us out in such a huge way! We broke down on the side of the freeway halfway between home and our destination. I called them and they were able to give us a quote and eta almost instantly. They came out and went above and beyond for us. What we initially thought was the problem turned out to be a bigger issue. These guys stuck with us the whole time and made sure we were going to safely make it to our destination. 3 women traveling along can be scary then add car trouble in and it could be even worse. These guys made us feel so safe and their rate for everything they did for us was beyond reasonable. Thank you guys again for all of your help. Highly recommend this business! read more

I have used this father and son team twice. They are punctual and quick to fix basic car malfunctions. Recommended.

I highly recommend these mechanics they work fast and really good quality work, their prices are good too

Alternator died on me heading back from the Bay to LBC and my roadside assistance with an insurance company I'll call REGRESSIVE decided it was a good move to try to tow me to a shop that was closed but they told me it was open. Thankfully I checked and cancelled after getting in touch with GG. They got to me and had me back on the road in under half and hour. Literally typing this review in my garage at home after getting back. I hope I never break down on the 5 again but if it happens, I hope I'm near them because I know I'll be good again in no time. read more

My friend and I had our car breakdown just before the grapevine. GG was the first person who responded and runs 24/7 service. GG and Gabriel came to the rescue and ran a diagnostic on the car. They even gave us a ride to Starbucks and had helped us out tremendously! Excellent customer service and just honestly humble, good people. They gave me faith that there is still good in this world! Definitely recommend him and his family! read more

My husbands car has been needing an oil change for quite some time, but due to his busy schedule he has not been able to get one. Contacted GG mechanic for an oil change in the morning and told them after 6. GG Mobile Mechanic saved me from a $4000 rip off from the Honda Dealership. We need more honest mechanics like GG Mobile Mechanic. I was in town to visit and my car was having some issues the day I was ready to drive home ( 2hr drive ) so I stayed and next morning called and looked for a reliable mechanic and after many calls even went to the Honda dealership(not reliable). I found G.G Mobile Mechanic where they told me and explained exactly what was wrong with the car and as a female sometimes it's hard to trust mechanics without them trying to scam you. But G.G Mecahnic is 100% reliable was able to drive my car home and the cart parts were ordered and my car was fixed within no more than a few hrs the same day. Definitely recommending and will be back if in that area and in need. Very reliable also called to make sure my car was working properly hours after. I made it home no issue. My car needed a tune up. read more

I needed a mobile mechanic to check out a vehicle before I bought it. It was a Saturday and almost nobody was open. GG was available and gave it a thorough review and a recommendation to not buy (unless there was a drop in price). I'm so glad I listened to G.G. He had nothing to gain (since I'm from out of town), but just cared that I knew what I was getting into. Nice to know there's honest guys out there. read more

Here's the scoop: I was driving from LA to Monterey late one evening and suddenly my headlights began to flicker and my battery light came on. I began to lose accelerating power and my heart was racing. My alternator was dying. Of all the stretches of road along the 5 freeway that would have landed me in the middle of nowhere I was fortunate enough to stall right at an exit with a gas station. It was late, and as I scrolled through Yelp I figured I was out of options for the night. My plan was to have AAA tow me to a mechanic in the morning and find somebody to fix my alternator. I slept in my car overnight in the parking lot and in the morning began to scroll through the mechanics on Yelp again, calling them and comparing prices. Then I noticed a 24/7 mechanic. A mobile mechanic who comes to you. I didn't realize this was a thing. Especially in the middle of nowhere. I called, and Gilbert gave me a lower quote than the other mechanics in the area, even with the cost of driving out to me. When he arrived I tried to console myself about not having seen their service sooner by asking if he could have had the part to me last night at the time I stalled. 'How would be get a part that late' I thought. Turns out he could have gotten the part that late. I was hating myself for sleeping overnight in a gas station parking lot when I would have been alright if I'd just kept scrolling through Yelp! Anyway, he and his son came out, replaced the part quickly, and even checked in on me with a call a few hours later. I am truly thankful for such a great service being offered out in the middle of nowhere! read more
