This shop was able to diagnose my issue which was a failed high pressure fuel pump on my gmc pickup. They got the parts and had it replaced the next day. Quick work for the complexity of the task. I did check call around for pricing and they were comparable to the other shops I called. Only difference was they fit me in immediately versus other shops saying a week or two out. Also I the customer service was very good and friendly. They kept me updated throughout the process. read more

Not long ago I decided I was through using my car brand dealership for repairs. When I was growing up, my dad repaired nearly everything on our cars and the few things he needed help with, he turned to Rosedale Automotive, so I decided to give them a try. My engine light was on and that seemed a good reason to ask for help. I was able to make an appointment the following day and all was taken care of within 3 days and a lot of good/clear communication. I'm never certain about what constitutes good value. Car repairs cost money, but everything charged was clearly communicated and I appreciate their expertise. My car runs well and they took time to explain what was going on and what I could expect for the future of the car and gave advice of proper future care. I don't think I could have asked for more. read more

Paid $2,074.56 at Rosedale Automotive and my Ford's jerking issue was never fixed. They guessed at repairs, blamed me for "saying it was the brakes" (I didn't because how would i even know), and the owner was rude and dismissive. Spent thousands for nothing--go elsewhere. read more

Professional. Amount was higher than other quotes but there were No hidden costs. My daughter was taking her car back to school the next day and Rosedale Automotive has a good reputation so I paid a little extra for peace of mind. read more

My car broke down and I needed to have my cooling fan replaced. they charged $140 for the diagnostic then quoted me an $800 invoice for the work that needed to be done. At home, back in Delano, zaragoza automotive did the work for $90.00. That's f'd up. read more

On May 2nd we called the location on white lane about our change the oil light lit up last week to change our oil. We just did our regular oil change with synthetic oil in February which didn't make sense because synthetic oil last for 5000 miles. We have been going to this location about 5 years since we moved to Bakersfield and we never had the change oil light come back on after we did our oil change 2 months ago. When we talked to the store manager, he pulled up a search on Google to show my husband that Chevy trucks change oil light lite up every 3000 miles. Well if they use synthetic oil it suppose to last 5000 miles. When we did get the oil change in February they also stated we had an oil leak. We went to Rosedale Auto shop and they did our oil change way cheaper and they didn't see any oil leak. They have been working on our truck when we do need repair also the mechanic that works on your vehicle shows you what they will be doing to your vehicle. Very professional n great customer services. It was a blessing that the change oil light lite up which changed where we get our oil change from now on. read more

Let's face it: just about all of us have been in need of a trustworthy mechanic. Car work is not my forte. A person I knew suggested I take my car to Rosedale Automotive. Honesty is everything to me. When I had issue with my steering after a recent visit (which came to me as unusual , but considering the age of my car was not all surprising) the team here took accountability without me even asking. There was no finger pointing, just ownership of a mistake. Not being that knowledgeable about cars, they would have gotten away with charging me for it. I gained confidence in the people I worked with. There is no greater comfort knowing that I found a reliable team. These are good people to work with, and I can vouch for their work. read more

I just can't say enough good things about this business. The people are friendly. They're honest they help me in so many different situations with my vehicles even when I go in and think I needed something fixed like my brakes instead of them doing it and charging me they would let me know I didn't need it done. I would highly recommend them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is the biggest rip-off in Bakersfield. They charge you double the price and not trust worthy! All the people that wrote the previous reviews are family members or friends of owners. read more

Rosedale Automotive - Auto Repair Near Me - Bakersfield, California

I went to Yelp to search for a place to find somewhere close to our house for a smog check. To our surprise our diesel truck needed a smog certificate. This was our 2nd year paying the astronomical California fees to renew the tags and then a smog for diesel, boy it never ends. Anyway this had a great review, but also came up as two different businesses. But both with 5*. I called to see if they did such a service and the gal on the phone Julie, which I think is always a nice touch when someone who answers the phone identifies themselves, was so friendly said they did do this quoted me a price and said they could get us right in. I asked exactly where they were located and easy enough. I actually was having a bad day finding out I had to mail all this stuff instead of doing any of this online, because of having a 1 ton there's a box you have to update about your weight. Really you can't check a box online how inconvenient!! So going here was so convenient. Upon arriving it looked really busy and we thought oh no we'll be here forever. As we were walking into the office the mechanics outside even greeted us. Once in the office we were quickly helped and Julie at the desk is very friendly and personable. The whole test took maybe 30 minutes which was painless as I said their lot look really busy and we thought it would take forever. But no in and out. Very great service and we passed our test. She said it goes straight to DMV but gave us a hard copy. We will definitely use them again. read more

This place is very professional in how they work and take care of your vehicles. I have a 1957 pickup that I thought failed a brake pressure switch. After trying several days of getting it out I was unable to do it. I tired heating it up and everything else in between. It needed to be put on a lift so I called Rosedale automotive. They were able to get me scheduled asap and I brought it over for the repair. About a hour later they called me to say it was not the pressure switch but a broken wire instead. They could have charged me way more and never told me about the wire but instead they said they found the problem that was much more simpler and charged me only 1 hour shop rate. Their honesty and integrity speaks volumes in this situation for me. I never and rarely have a shop work on anything for me as I'm pretty capable for the most part, but when and if I do, Rosedale automotive will be my place I take my vehicles when needed. Their service is top notch and their honesty and integrity is exactly what you need in a car shop especially when you need to get back on the road but have no idea how that happens. This place will handle all that for you, and with great care. read more

I took my truck to Rosedale Automotive to get the trailer brake service warning fixed, the wiper sprayer's fixed, and the oil changed. They didn't have any luck with the trailer brake service warning, but they did the other two items. When I picked up my truck the last time they gave me a refund check in an envelope that I assumed would be the total that I paid them the first time minus the washer repair and the oil change. When I open the envelope it was for the full amount. They went above and beyond. Now I have to figure out a way to pay them for what they did do. Outstanding business!!! read more

During a time when everything around us is chaotic, this business has been consistent and values what it means to have a good customer service. I called to have my car smogged and was told I needed to make an appointment, which I did. The day of my appointment they got me right in and it only took about 15 to 20 minutes for the entire process and I was on my way. read more

Highly impressed with the service and professionalism of everyone at this shop. From entering the shop you're greeted warmly, as if you've been a long time customer. From start to finish, my experience for a smog check was a very positive one. The day I went, the process took about 15 minutes....and that was from check in to check out. When I left, I was told to come back any time....which is a normal thing to say by most employees....but it was said with such a genuineness, you knew they meant it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The positive reviews are 100% accurate. read more

Dropped my car off to have the brakes checked. The tech and staff are very honest and competent . They could have charged me for a brake job that I didn't need, but the said I have 60 to 70% left on the factory pads. There was no charge for the inspection. I was shocked, but thankful I found a shop that operates with such integrity. read more

Everything was clearly explained in advance of any repairs and in no time at all my car was done, at a reasonable price and in the timeframe promised. This is a confident 5-star business that is a rare find today. Thank you again! read more

I took my car in here because it was squealing pretty bad. I was prepared for the worst (needing rack and pinion replacement) but hoping for the best (tightening of belts that I was told by a different place that wasn't the issue). They found the belts weren't tight. Phew. A dishonest mechanic could have made a mint off me as I was desperate for the embarrassing noise to stop. Tightened the belts and my neighbors don't want to torch my car. Life is good. Mechanic is knowledgeable, competent, and honest. read more

I have been told by a number of people to use Rosedale Automotive. A couple of years ago I had a problem with my Avalon and took it there. I don't remember what they told me it was but it wasn't good. When they were done it ended up being considerably more minor and cost a fraction of what it could have. I was impressed by their honesty. My Sedona has been overheating and I had someone tell me again to go Rosedale Automotive. They thought that they figured it out and sent me on my way (at a reasonable price). It worked for about a day and a half then overheated again. When I took it back they found something else. When I went to pick it up they did not charge me for the repair. These people are great. I can't say enough good about them. No wonder all of their ratings, no matter where you look, are 5 stars. I'm a believer! read more

I've used this service twice, the first time to get the '86 Mercedes 560SL and today - same car. I was told by the counter person they no longer worked on foreign cars. A man sitting at a nearby desk looked up and inquired if he could help. He popped the hood and filled up the power steering fluid on the spot. When I tried to pay him, he declined! In this day n age, old-fashioned service - a true class act. Thank you, Bruce!! BTW, the little car's ready for another 30 years read more
