As a gal on the east side with a seven year old Mercedes, Bakersfield Motorworks has been there for me when I've needed them most. They'll send a tow truck to scoop you up anywhere in Bakersfield for only $50. They have the dealership training, but not the dealership prices. I go to them for regular services, major issues and everything in between. My friends use them too and love them just as much as I do. 10/10 would recommend read more

A lot of charge for not a lot of work. Missed diagnostic for my vehicle. Seemed like my questions weren't enough for a thorough check of the car. Had the same problem addressed by another shop and although it was 1k price at least they had answers and not just a blow off. read more

Just checked in my x drive for a cracked radiator and so far so good I'm excited to drive my car again and I also thought by repairs were going to be along time but the mechanics reassured me that it'll be way sooner Thanks for the great customer service read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely worthless shop. Had our car for a month. Gave it to us with the roof covered in oil. Was stored under a leaking car I presume. Drove it 10 miles and the same check engine is magically back on. Had it for 2 more weeks. Still not fixed. Can't get a call back or an answer on the phone but got a text that says I need Need spark plugs. Still haven't addressed the reason for being there. Shady shop. They have no idea what they are doing. Customer service is a zero. BEWARE!!!. read more

I'm very glad to have found this location by word of mouth from my Uber driver. I own a bmw 528i and had a transmission malfunction which locked my vehicle in place. I took it to another shop before but after receiving a 4K quote for repair we had to postpone. A month later my Uber driver asked what was wrong with my bmw(it was dusty) I told him my issue and he gave me Bakersfield motoworks information. I contacted them the same day had the car in the shop a week later and in a two days my car was ready for pick up at half the quoted price from the other shop. Turns out it didn't need a new rransimisison as mentioned by the other shop but rather a few sensors replaced fuilds and gaskets. Car has been running strong, no shift issues and smooth. Been taking my car there ever since I found them. they affordable and have a quick turn around rate! Best of all they are honest! read more

Super honest, efficient, and trustworthy. They took my car in the same day I called and had me out the door in less than 30 minutes.

So far nothin but excellent communication when calling to get info and quotes. Patient w/ myself and my son who is 18 and learning what he needs to ask and how to proceed w/the servicing of his bmw. They even provided us a tow truck service that arrived promptly after golden empire towing told us it would be 4 hours. My son said the shop was cool and everyone was friendly. They even specialize in bmws! After an unfortunate tow to bobs mufflers after hours come to find out during business hours they no longer do radiator service, we were given a blessing in the right direction. Thank u god and with help of Yelp! Will post again once the service is done. read more

Awesome customer service. Mechanics are the most honest workers. I really recommend this auto shop. read more

Great shop, swift mechanics at work, awesome front desk service, and a transparent process from start to finish. I called BMW and towed my old truck in first thing after a gnarly breakdown between the Bay and LA. They got me in and out in one business day. This was HUGE considering one shop told me I'd likely need a whole new engine. Less than $650 later, I was out with a new radiator and with time to actually enjoy my trip. The actual shop is nice to kick it in: air conditioning, cold water, huge TV, there was even a sweet baby hanging out too that made a whole day in the shop not so bad. This place seems to be family run, and they have their operation down to a science. There were very small snags, with one wrong part being delivered, but even that was corrected quickly. I was having issues with my credit union in the background, and they let me use their printer to handle some business. The mechanic even agreed to drive my truck around for 30min to ensure everything was good to go. Breaking down is never fun, but I'm glad of all the shops in Bakersfield, my truck and I landed here and relatively got in and out. Thanks, Bakersfield Motor Works! PS--I came as they were painting the shop's exterior to match the red/blue/checker on the inside and this is a very cool, professional shop with quality aesthetics to match. read more

Car was given to me in worse condition then I left the vehicle. There was cosmetic damage done to the car as well. The communication from start to finish was poor. Took car for issues non pertaining to engine work when I received my vehicle the engine bay was striped of all plastic covers and are still missing. Some parts appear to have been replaced. I was charged for parts that did not resolve the initial problem I took the car in for. read more

Worst experience with a mechanic ever! Very dishonest and overpriced!! I do not recommend taking your car to this shop!! They blame you for things they break that weren't originally broken on your car and overcharge for their services!! read more

This is the best place to get your car worked on. It is well worth the time and money. They stand behind there work and are very pleasant to deal with. You will not regreat to use them as your mechanics. read more

The people that work here are top notch ! Very friendly people and very well informed absolute bmw experts ! I came here with a headlight issue for my bmw and couldn't be happier I highly recommend this place if you're in need for bmw service read more

These guys were great. Called to check if there was a wait to do an oil change and they told me to come on in. It took a little longer than they said (60 min vs. 30) because they had to wait 35 minutes for the oil filter that they were told would come in 5-10 minutes, but that wasn't their fault. Price was competitive and they were very friendly. They apologize because their waiting area was set up to be painted, but who cares when you do a great job at a good price. I just wished I lived in the area so I could come in all the time. read more

The team at bakersfield motor works is awesome. I had went to two other locations in town bmw and another European repair shop and was quoted almost double of that at Bakersfield motor works. I drop off my car in the am and it was ready by the next day which I felt was more then reasonable given I had a transmission repair. I saved overall 1500 dollars when they discovered that it was actually a few sensors that needed replaced rather then an actual unit. We have been going to them ever since! read more

I had a very positive experience today and I'd like to highly recommend Bakersfield Motor Works. My car wouldn't start this morning and I made a call to B.M.W. and they were able to 1. Diagnose the issue and 2. Find the part and fix the problem, all in the same day! Peter assisted me and was incredibly informative and helpful. The cost was very reasonable and now I'm able to use my car and avoid car rental fees. From beginning to end it was all a positive experience. I will definitely be using B.M.W. in the future. read more

Highly recommended if you own a Mini Cooper. I had my water pump replaced and was very nervous on where to take my Mini to. I'm glad that I found this place since there is very few shops here in Bakersfield that have the Mini Cooper repair knowledge. Their hours are perfect if you work a lot or just have a hard time getting to those shops that close when you're just barely getting off of work. They are knowledgeable and friendly. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Guys. read more
