I called Jesse on a Friday afternoon and told him my check engine light had turned on-on my 2020 Ford F150. He asked me to drop off the truck so he could probably diagnose the problem. About two hours later he gave me a call. Let me know exactly what it was that's wrong. Let me know exactly what it was gonna take to fix it and gave me a day that he could have it done by. Got my truck all fixed up, including an oil change. And got the work done exactly in the timeframe that he said that he needed. Finding an honest mechanic is always hard. They let me have inaccurate info regarding a service on my vehicle, so I paid ~$350 for a repair that lasted less than a week. Because of this they offered a free diagnostic for belt noise on my daughter's car. [A mechanic at a different shop previously said it was the alternator bracket. I purchased a new bracket for ~$7.50 at a Toyota dealer and installed it myself. But the noise continued.] He (the brother that deals with prices / payments) told me the bracket was bad and they would have to go to Pick your Part to get a replacement. He said the price of the bracket would be $20 to $30, the installation $100, and for going to Pick Your Part $140. That didn't seem right to me since the bracket was new. But my daughter accepted because she just wanted it to be fixed. She paid him the $260. When I looked under the hood, I saw the same new bracket I previously installed. He then said the bolt and nut had to be replaced, and he went to Pick Your Part to get the bolt and nut. It appears the original issue was indeed that the bolt and nut were not the right type. But it was obvious he didn't go to Pick Your Part just to get a simple bolt and nut. He insisted that he did go, so I asked for his receipt. He claimed he had it but couldn't find it. He is a very convincing liar. But in this case, it was pathetic. The brother that is the main mechanic is very knowledgeable and does good work. (And, with my first vehicle he asked his brother to reduce the price quoted for the service. He then reduced the price from~$475 down to ~$350.) However, the other brother is a con artist. read more

I drove by and seen the garage open and decided to stop by. I just needed a molex pin removed from the harness but I was not able to do so. They helped me out and removed it for me within 5 minutes and did not wanna charge me.. until later I realized they were not even open for business but still took care of me. Our second 5 star review. Gave a 5 star review in Apr 2024 for the excellent work Jessie's shop did on my mother in law's car. This time we brought my wife's Fiat in for an ongoing significant electrical issue. She had previously had her car in for a simple recall repair at the local Bakersfield Fiat/Chrysler dealership in 2023, and it turns out the Fiat dealership fixed the recall repair, but unknown to us they had made a mess of some unseen wiring that eventually caused major issues, including not being able to shift out of Park. We brought her car to Jessie at J's and with giving them a little history they were able to trouble shoot the issue and zero in on repairing the mess that the dealership had caused. Once again, the work was done promptly, professionally and at a very reasonable cost. Jessie's shop is now without question our go to auto repair and maintenance shop for all of our cars. read more

i had a big concern and issue with my tires on my way on a 11 hour road trip. it was incredibly stressful. i had to be there holding my cat and my dog beside me who were traumatized from running into a tow truck on the side of the freeway.
