This is my home airport that I fly out of 30 to 40 times each year, so I was really glad that they were getting an actual restaurant by the gates. Ultimately, Capitol Brewport falls short in several areas. The staff seems scattered and untrained, focusing on things other than the customers standing right in front of them. The food is not great, and as much as I like crispy fries, ones that are significantly overdone do nothing for my taste buds. This final point is really something that only locals would pick up on, but the glasses that they serve drinks in are plastic from some manufacturer that I don't recognize. With Dart Container being headquartered in the Lansing area, it would make sense to me that they would use Dart cups. Especially since Dart has several thousand employees that probably use this airport on a regular basis. Way to support local! Note: I do not, nor have I ever, worked for Dart Container or any of its suppliers.

Decent airport food. Good service. Your only choice in Lansing airport. There are no other restaurants. There is some sort of lounge but its closed so Capitol Brewport is it. There are lots of outlets at the bar and around the room. Chairs are uncomfortable wooden things. No recommendation, decide for yourself.

Edible. It is the airport and I wasn't expecting much but a burger and brussel sprouts were not bad. Brussel sprouts needed a little salt but the sauce had a bit of spice and they were fried well and not burn't. Burger was a little thicker than I thought it would be. Trying to be gluten free but they didn't have any buns left. I am not complain because I got to eat!

Very rude and expensive. I was trying to grab food before my flight, and the cook was putting his frustration out on us. Closed early

$8.47 for a bottle of water and small coffee. Coffee was cold, girl said, "that's all I have". No refunds.

So of course, I had to check it out. When I got there, I met the owners, who are actually brother and sister! The brother is the chef, and the sister was working the counter. She was so friendly and helped me decide what to order. Now, I went in craving spaghetti. I know what you're thinking this isn't an Italian restaurant! They serve soul food and breakfast all day. But then I saw the spaghetti and fish combo, and if you know, you know! I asked the sister, "How's the spaghetti?" She smiled and confidently said, "Everything is good!" That confidence sold me, so I ordered it. I also asked if they could turn my side of fried fish into a fish sandwich with cheese, and for a small upcharge, they made it happen without any problem. Y'all... that spaghetti was THAT spaghetti! The kind you get at a family repass or after a funeral the comforting, homemade, seasoned-to-perfection spaghetti that just hits different. If you know, you know! It was an easy 10/10. And don't sleep on the fried fish either! It was crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Matter of fact... I loved that spaghetti so much, I drove back two weeks later just to order another plate of it! Hank's definitely knows what they're doing. If you're looking for authentic soul food in Lansing, this spot deserves a visit. If you're a soul food lover, Hank's Cuisine is definitely worth checking out!

We all decided on pizza and ordered two pizzas. One for the adults and a smaller one for the kids. While we were waiting the room air filled up with the aroma of a seafood restaurant restaurant. It turns out they were serving crab legs and other fresh seafood entrees. That is when we were told they serve cook from scratch meals and daily specials. Our pizzas came out and both pizzas were loaded with generous toppings. Even the kids small pepperoni pizza looked generous and cooked perfectly. Very friendly service, clean, and affordable. We actually are looking forward to coming back to try some of this made from scratch Italian dishes.

The pizza took a little longer than expected, but they do let you know upfront that there may be a wait, which I appreciated. The flavor was good overall, and the ingredients seemed fresh. For my taste, there was a little too much sauce, which made the pizza a bit heavy. That said, it was still decent and worth trying if you're in the area and craving pizza. Not bad, but not a standout for me either.

Couldn't finish the sandwich because by the time I got to 1/3 left it was a sopping ball of goo. I probably should have scooped at least half of it off before I attempted to eat it. I Left it in the basket with a few onion rings (which were very good!) Too wet to finish. I recommend WAY less mayo to the establishment. I swear they applied at least 1/4 cup of mayo in the sauce for my (single) burger. Flavor was very good, but the sauce volume prevented me from finishing it. Regarding service: It was awesome. Bartender was knowledgeable and attentive. She knew what she was doing. I recommend sticking to beer if you are drinking. I ordered gin and tonics and got their own gin ("Hard Nose Gin"). It did not appear to resemble a traditional gin, but the description describes it as "juniper-forward". It was alright, but not my choice. I stopped by the night before and had a couple of pints of the Blood Orange Blonde, which was EXTREMELY good. I have never tried any of their other beers, but, given my experience, there appears to be a lot of promise there. Overall, a very good experience. I recommend. I still think they need to cut down the sauce on their olive burger - by a lot. But the flavor was very good. And the burger was cooked to my liking. I will definitely visit again. I get to the Lansing area a few times a year, and I'll be back.

I just looked on their website. It is even smaller than the last time I was there. Since I am a light eater and traveling, I was stuck with 2 small salads or sides to choose from. I got a small Cesar and side of beer battered onion rings. Both were average at best. Waitress was AWOL most of the time. Music was loud so table conversations was a little hard. I suggested another place closer to the hotel with much better reviews for next year dinner before our meeting so I don't have to come back here. Many in our group agreed.

The inside is less interesting. If you want to sit inside you have to order at a kiosk and it's credit card only. If you want to pay cash you'll need to go through the drive through. Everything is very clean and there is a certain charm to the place, maybe nostalgia. I ordered the Bacon Ring Bbq Burger combo ($10). This is two thin 1/8 pound burger patties, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes with onion rings and bacon. This definitely is a fast food burger and needs to be compared to that. In that aspect it is top notch. Way better than any of the corporate giants. For a fair price. If you want to compare to the better burger sit down restaurants it does drop a little bit, but would still be in my top 15 for sure and maybe my top 10. The fries are very good, nothing super special, just above average done very well. I got a chocolate shake ($3), like the fries it's an above average shake done extremely well and very thick. Lastly I ordered a Pulled Pork sandwich ($5) for later. This was very good, especially since it was a reheated sandwich. Definitely the best pulled pork sandwich from a fast food place I've ever had for one of the best prices. The staff was very friendly and seemed very efficient. Overall a 5 star review. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time for a meal before or after work? Would I return? Absolutely?
