I wanted to get it fixed right away so started calling a few windshield repair places. I called Gerber on my 4th call, and I should have called them first!! They quoted me HALF the price of all the other places... and then they told me they could have a technician come out today!! He said someone would call me when they were on their way, and sure enough, Kyle from Glass America (a partnership with Gerber) called and said he would be here in 10 mins!! Kyle was GREAT!! Not only did he fix the big chip in the glass, but he also found 2 other chips that I didn't know were there, and he fixed those as well!! He fixed all 3 chips in 20 mins, and didn't charge me anything that was over the original quote!! Best yet.. I can hardly see where the chips were!! Kept in touch via calling to let me know ETA. 3rd - Paul had the wrong windshield because it was ticketed for the shield he brought. I was disgusted and called to learn that he had already called the company and alerted them. I expected a price drop because my winshield is smaller but learned I had been quoted the lower price as my shield required extra molding. Whatever! Then I did consider they were $50 lower than the closest competitior and got over myself. 4th - Gave Paul my garage door opener. He let himself in and got to work. Called when he was finished. 5th - Went to ask, "Hey can you please give me the velcro strips so I can replace my IPass?" Guess what folks...Paul was on it. He removed them and placed it them on the wheel. I asked for my second set as NOLA requires tolls. He didn't notice it but pulled them right off, too. Paid and went on our merrily little way. ~ I appreciate the service. Paul was in my garage looking for me when I expected him to be in his truck on the streets. I filled out a form on-line, picked a time online to drop my car off at Safelite AutoGlass, returned laler the same day and the glass had been replaced. They even moved my oil change service tag from my broken windshield to the new one. It was a very easy and convenient process. The only reason I give this a 4 instead of 5 is an issue that probably isn't related, but the timing made me question it. Two days later I drove across state and left my vehicle outside for two nights. It snowed. When I went to turn on my wipers (after what I thought was long enough for it to warm up), they would not work. They were stuck and I assumed frozen. I ended up having to take my vehicle into the dealer where they told me the wipers gears were stripped. Again, probably not related to having my windshield replaced but the timing just makes me wonder.

Until I called corporate, they were happy to repaint the bumper for free after Joshua provided a $621.40 estimate for the damages his team had created. This place is a joke. Joshua will not take responsibility for his actions, and he was too embarrassed to see me in person after I called corporate. It took them two weeks to repair the hail damage on my car, but when it's corporate's money, it only took them half a day.
