I called the same day and they received my car and when I picked it up I was impressed because it was as clean as when I bought it at the dealer read more

I have had the worst experience ever! I asked them to remove the minor scratches with no coloring and major scratches with coloring. however, they just carelessly brushed all over my car and now it looks way worse (see the pictures with scratches and unbuffed brushing on top). Instead of removing the scratches, they put a ton of color on the rusty parts of my car, which I haven't asked for. I wanted to remove the rust carefully and then put a mild color. definitely didn't want to carelessly add colors on top of the rust. If you want your car to look worse than when you check in with them, go there! read more

Got my RAV4 detailed inside and out. Beautiful job, looks like new. Very thorough job, completed in reasonable amount of time, solid customer service. Prices comparable or better than other locations in town. Will bring my car back in spring for another detail. This was the Watts road location by Woodmans. read more

I had an appointment at the Lien Road location for 10:30am the tech was available and ready to perform the service. I selected the external and internal vehicle detail. Upon reviewing the vehicle at pick up I found the vehicle to be in fair condition. The carpets, floor mats, and arm rest were not cleaned well. Overall we'd rate the quality of service as "fair". The tech did respond to my request for additional cleaning. I feel the service is fair if you just want a wash, vacuum, and minor shampoo. I would not consider the service to be a detailing but more of an advanced cleaning service. I'm on the fence if I would use the service again. read more

I called at 10am on a Friday morning hoping to get my car detailed before the weekend. As if that wasn't enough, I also informed them that I would need to have it done while I waited. They were able to give me an appointment that same day. The work started on time and finished in one hour, right when I was told it would be. My car looked beautiful (and smelled a lot better). Plastic sheeting was draped on the driver's seat and on the floor as the upholstery and carpeting weren't yet dry (to be expected with a one-hour job). I'll be back. read more

Needed my equinox detailed so badly. Came here and was able to get in when I wanted with only a days notice. The staff is very accommodating and kind! My car was spotless and looked like I just got it off the lot again. They were extremely thorough and the price was good. My car looks incredible and I have received many compliments on how nice it looks now. I will definitely be recommending my family and friends go here. Job was done well in a timely manner for a fair price! Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

I had an appointment at the Lien Road location for 0930 thus morning that I made two weeks ago. The place is locked up, no one in sight. I drove 90 miles to sit here and twiddle my thumbs. Not thrilled, to say the least. read more

They were very nice and professional, had a stain on one of my seats that came back up and they took care of it without hesitation. I will definitely be back in the future (east location). read more

Would highly recommend the full detail car cleaning service Steve and team provide at the West Side location (guessing East is just as good, but I have no experience at that location). Scheduling was easy, they fit me in based on my availability, and returned my Jeep absolutely spotless inside and out in about 4 hours time. If they can do this great of work battling Brembo break dust on calipers and rims, I think they can do anything! Give them a try... you will thank yourself later cruising around in your clean a$$ car! read more

Capitol Car Cleaners - Spotless black Trackhawk in the winter post service. Thank you!!! - Auto Detailing Near Me - Madison, Wisconsin

Recently, I inherited a car, so I needed to sell my Acura TL. Before putting it on the market, I wanted to get it detailed and looking sharp, so I drove around and talked to a few detailing shops around Madison. The last one I visited was Capital Car Cleaners at 6802 Watts Road, and I am glad I found them. Don't judge this book by its cover - the building and sign aren't extravagant, and you might even miss them if you weren't looking closely. But Bill (the owner) and his crew now have won a new, loyal customer in me. Their excellent communication, dynamite quality, and very reasonable pricing really set them apart from the other shops I've used. One afternoon last week, I caught Bill around closing time, and he was still there finishing up with a customer's vehicle. He was obviously busy, but he pleasantly took the time to chat with me to find out what I was looking for. He asked questions to make sure I'd be happy with the job. (He even offered to do a little light touch-up painting where it needed it, which I really appreciated.) I explained that I would be selling the car soon, and I wanted her to look as good as she performs for pictures and test drives. After talking for a few minutes with Bill (and looking at the cars he and his crew had just finished up), I decided to give them a try. They were pretty busy the next few days, so I made an appointment to drop the vehicle off first thing on Monday. Bill asked how long they could work on it, and I said as long as they needed. He said, "Great!" and said he would give me a call when it was ready, probably at the end of the day, which was convenient for me. The day of the job, I dropped her off before they were open, and left the keys in the key-drop. Bill contacted me to touch base soon after, and then again when it was ready for pick up. I got there again, a few minutes late, but Bill was agreeable, patient, and accommodating. I looked over the inside and outside of the car, and I was amazed! She looks almost brand new. The interior, carpets, leather seats, dash, windows, air vents, etc. all looked great! They got everything, even the insides of the storage pockets and compartments. The outside looked just as good. Every speck of dirt and grime was gone, the wheels looked perfect, the tires shiny, and they had given her a nice wax polish. Even under the hood and around the engine were cleaned up and looking great! Basically, they made my car look and smell better than I had dared to hope. I thanked Bill very much, and settled up with him. (The price was more than fair - he could charge more for work of this quality.) I am thrilled with the job his team did. Now, my only problem is, my Acura looks so good, I don't want to sell it anymore. :-) TL;DR: If you are looking for a detailing shop that does a great job for a very reasonable price, Capital Car Cleaners is the best. I definitely will be a repeat customer. read more

My car is clean, and I'll give credit for that for sure. But it was returned to me literally dripping with cleaners and whatever chemicals they used on it. My floors are soaking wet, my seat was sopping wet, my butt was wet when I got out!! When I went to close the tailgate, whatever they used was dripping out holes and all over the bumpers and trunk. I had to leave my car open in hopes it dries out and doesn't mold. Yes, it's clean, but it's sopping wet and shouldn't have been returned that way! I don't have time to take it back and get it dried by them. . But the floors need to be shop vacuumed out. You push on the carpet and it's squishy. I leave on vacation in two hours and hope it's ok sitting in the garage with the windows open! read more

Steve was nice but job was obviously rushed, no attention to detail was taken. I won't go on and on, I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. I will not be coming back. read more

Very straightforward to schedule and drop off the car, they get the work done when they say, and the work they do is good quality. I'll definitely bring our cars here again when they need it. While I prefer to do all the auto cleaning and maintenance of our cars myself, there are times when the work really needs to be done by professionals. Brought my wife's car in for interior detailing after our dog had a seizure in the car (when you have a seizure, you don't really have any control your bodily functions, and those bodily functions got in a lot of different places...). We tried to clean it ourselves as best we could, but in the end, it really needed professional cleaning to get some of the deeper stains that we couldn't remove (and the car was overdue for a good overall cleaning on the inside, anyway) I called them and scheduled to drop the car off around noon on a Friday. The business isn't too hard to find, but very unassuming. It's right across the Woodman's on Watt Rd, behind a window blind cleaning business. the owner was very clear on how long the work would take, and what to expect as far as cost (which was also within the range stated on their website) The car looked great when we got it back, and even though we only had them to interior detailing, they washed the car on the outside, which they didn't have to do, but it was appreciated. They pulled out some stains that had set into the fabric of the back seat for months that we had figured couldn't be removed after trying several things at home to get it out. We were pretty happy with the work, and would gladly take our cars back here again. read more

My car was transported from Alaska to Wisconsin. After a month on a ship, in a freight yard and on a truck in winter weather, it was filthy - inside and out. These guys made the car look and smell like new, and they charge a lot less than the car dealerships. read more

You have to be kidding! DO NOT GO HERE. Brought car in for in/out detail. Returned after sometime to find car with OBVIOUS marks not buffed out, zero bug removal, broken seat cover, carpets not vacuumed and still drenched in water ..... and dirty windows. The only concession from the owner was "give me a few minutes" and "its really hard to find good people". The lame attempt to correct was, at best, even more rushed and terrible. If you want incomplete job, go here. I could not be more upset with result. Feel like a complete sucker for paying 150. read more

Set up appointment on Monday for Friday appointment. Dropped off at 10am. Was told right 4 hours. I stuck around the area and dropped in at 2:15. Nothing had been done and car was still parked where I left it. All the workers were sitting in corner having a break, the owner or manger then says "we're getting to it next." So while I can't attest to their workmanship in my case the management was atrocious. At the very least a call to say it wont be done til 5. I also had some blinds cleaned here, I'd say pass on that too as I had water and soil marks on the blinds. read more

Recently had my grand Cherokee "detailed" on the East side location. Overall pretty disappointed. For how much it costs I expect a little more time and energy put into it. I still had stains on the back side of my overhead mirror, everything was dripping wet when I got my car back, dirt/ bugs still on my grille, not to mention the fact that I tipped the detailer $30 when I paid prior to seeing his work, and he left immediately so I couldn't even tell him areas of concern. My advice is to look into other businesses for detailing needs. read more

I am so happy with the service that I received at Capitol Car Cleaners on the East Side. They did a great job detailing my car and also did it quickly so that I could get to another appointment. They were very professional and also extremely friendly. I enjoyed working with Tony and left in a better mood than I came with!! Thank you, highly recommend! read more

I did not experience good customer service here. I took my car in first thing in the morning at 0800 on 10/4/19 and they didn't get done until after 1pm. As if that wasn't enough, my husband inspected the car when I got home to find lots of areas that these guys didn't even touch. When he went over to talk to the Manager about this my husband was told that they would be contacting us , but never did. Very disappointing indeed! read more

I brought my car in to have the interior detailed--very easy and very nice! My foster dogs had accidents all over my car--you would never know! Everything was spotless, and my very light grey colored car seats look brand new (after hauling muddy dogs in and out of my car, in addition to food spills, etc). Drop off and pick up was simple, and the price was much more affordable than any other place in Madison I could find. I definitely recommend and will be going back! read more

I have a 2015 Kia and it really needed help on the inside with salt-stained carpets, cat hair and a chocolate milk stain on the front passenger seat. It was easy to get in for an appointment - I dropped off at 8a and picked up at 2p. They did a nice job except the car mats were not as clean and meticulous as I would have liked. They also missed the chocolate milk stain(even though I made mention if it). All in all, they did a beautiful job! The price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them and I will certainly go back again! read more

I get my black car detailed twice a year and have not found a place in Madison that satisfies me yet and this place is no exception. I brought my car in for a exterior and interior detailing. I saw the reviews on here and other places so I was excited to possibly find an auto detailed that I could come back to. I typically only get my exterior detailed but was feeling extra lazy so I opted for their full service. When I dropped my car off at 8 am they said it should be ready by 1 pm which was the first sign I had that this wasn't going to be done correctly. Typically for just my exterior the car is in the shop until at least 4 pm sometimes much longer, especially the detailing that happens once winter attempts to kill my paint job. Sure enough I get a call around 12:45 stating my car is ready. Once I arrive I see it parked out in a outdoor dusty parking lot. There was a brief rain shower while it was parked and then direct sunlight. Anyone with a black car can guess what happened. My car looked like it had chicken pox from the now etched in dried rain which also helped in creating a highly visible coating of brown parking lot dust. Upon further inspection it was obvious this was a rush job as not all of the wax had been wiped off and there were even water marks from improper drying. The employee did spot one of the wax marks and decided to try to wipe it off with a dry rag, something you never want to do to a black car with a coating of dust. It creates instant spidering, which are small scratches visible in direct sunlight. After leaving highly disappointed I inspected the car further. The interior leather was completely wiped down and treated but there were more signs of an extreme rush job. Floors were vacuumed and all in all the interior wasn't great but if they were the only issues it would have been acceptable. I got home and walked the outside of the car again. I ran my hand across the front bumper and lower doors to make sure they removed the embedded grit. This grit cannot be removed by standard washing due to being stuck on too hard and has to be removed using a special technique with a clay bar. One of the main reasons for a visit to the detailer as I don't like doing it myself. While it does appear the technique was used on the front bumper the sides of the car weren't touched. A fast inspection by the technician would have found this, yet another sign of rushing. I paid over $150 for their full package and will now be bringing my car back to a different detailer that I know will take the time to do it correctly. As probably already apparent I am picky about my car. I could do the job myself, and typically do during summer months, but for me it takes a full day which I don't have the time for. read more

Steve was really nice and easy to work with. He got everything done on time in one day, did an excellent job at a way better price than anywhere else. Brought my car in for a full interior detailing. Some of my kid's friends were smoking cigarette's in it and the smell was in the carpet. Picked up the car 3 hours later and it was spotless. Got in and I smelled nothing, which is a good thing. Great job and friendly service. read more

I took my Toyota Corolla in because my lease was ending and I wanted it in tip-top shape. Steve was a very honest man that runs the business well and fair. I also had some scratches on my trunk and he gave me a recommendation to a place that did a very nice job in removing them for a decent price. I was able to get my car in quickly and the job was done, but I do have an English bulldog and some of her hair, which is very course, was embedded in the seats and the floor and mats which is why I was taking it to get detailed. The vents were cleaned extensively, along with the dash, and other non-carpeted or cloth areas. Also, the mats were washed. A fair amount of the hair still remained. Steve offered to go over it again, without an extra charge. There is something to be said about a private business owner instead of a large company. Also, with COVID-19 being such an issue, and not everyone wearing a mask, I was surprised that every time I went in there he was wearing protection which means he was protecting his customers. I think the best thing about the company, is that the owner is kind and stands behind his work. He takes pride in his business and worked with me for a very acceptable solution. Also, he remembered me and called me by name. I will go back again. read more

Owner is very accommodating, reasonable and extremely thorough. Low key and not a car detail mill where it's quick in and out at the risk of not doing a great job or damaging the car. Totally recommend. read more
