Having a wonderful happy hour at Capers in Campbell.

Samantha waited on the nine of us. She brought us refreshing drinks and tasty meals. She was sweet and friendly and made our visit great! I would definitely come again!

I used an old $50 coupon. I received from Costco many years ago and surprisingly there was no issue with them honoring it by many years ago I mean 5+ years. Came here on a Sunday, although there are only two workers that I could see we were seated promptly. My wife wondered the linguine Santa Maria. I got blackened chicken on pesto penne and we shared a lemon herb cauliflower steak. All three items were delicious in their own way. I've never had blackened chicken before and into my surprise. There is no burnt taste , and it's full of flavor a little on the salty side, but I enjoyed it. The lemon herb cauliflower with a delightfully tasteful a bit expensive for what it is, but I love fresh lemon herb flavor. My wife's pasta was a little bit on the lighter side when it comes to flavor profile, but still had good flavor, although I would prefer more saucy or creamy pasta as I feel like the items were combined together, but didn't necessarily flow if that makes sense. They have a bar and they were Niner fans here on the Sunday I came. They seem to have different live events and is a good spot for locals and sports enthusiast who like to enjoy a good time out with local fans. Items on the menu are a bit pricier than I would expect for what the item was, but overall good service in good tasting food. Menu is on the smaller side and portions could be a bit larger for pricing but overall, if you're looking for a local spot to enjoy and aren't looking for anything too fancy then I would check out capers.

1/5 dry, hard bread with a dipping sauce

This place was a letdown for me. We came on the recommendedation of a friend of the family, she used to be a waitress here and said we should give it a whirl. Apprently we came on a karaoke night. I'm sure it's fun for a sports bar or for the locals hanging out, but it was a no for me in a dining setting. Loud as heck, sensory overload and the waiter could not hear me nor I could hear them. The food was very average and overpriced for what it was. Forgettable meatloaf, bland, dry, stringy short ribs and bread that was rock hard. If the bread was complimentary I wouldn't have minded how hard and dry it was, but I do mind since it was $4.50, not worth it at all. Because of how dry the food is, I needed to gulp water, but the water tasted funky. I ordered a cocktail and the cocktail was probably the best thing I had there all night. It was a teeny glass but it did job. Service was meh, waiter seemed peeved after we asked to be moved away from the blaring loud karaoke set up. Sorry I didn't want my ear drums ringing all night. After we reported back to the friend of the family, she mentioned the experience for dinner wasn't great but that their happy hour is better. I'm not too keen on returning any time soon for that, you'd probably have to drag me. *on a side note, even though me and my hubby didn't enjoy this place, this was my mom's second time coming and she said maybe we came on a bad night, she raved about their St. Patrick's specials, she's a huge fan of beer and corned beef.

    Artichoke hearts ‍

Delish! Every bite was a new and exciting flavor! We visited after catching a movie at the local AMC and was delighted by all the yummy bites. Artichoke Hearts had a delicate zest! Cauliflower was hearty and had the perfect amount of garlic. Steak bites were cooked perfectly and served with tender greens on the side. Deviled eggs were the star of the show-splurge and get the shrimp! Tons of parking! Great indoor and patio seating options

Crusted salmon, ahi tuna, short rib

Visited this place since we had some coupons that use up and we were thoroughly disappointed. First of all, it was dead when we got in there and I'm honestly surprised that the two locations remain open due to the amount of business. Overall, the food portions were super small, the food quality was not very good, and the service was horrible. Food with nothing special at all and for a main entrée being around $30, it was not super filling, and the quality was just not there. We got the crusted salmon, the braised short rib, and they ahi tuna. We were also disappointed since the one thing we wanted the lamb was out of stock. They all came with rice and vegetables. Even after the three dishes, we were not fully satisfied and full. Our server was genuinely not the best and gave wrong information and then tried to charge us for bread and butter. We would not return due to this service, food, quality, and the restaurant as a whole. I will most likely not be back and I would not recommend this place anyone.

Capers is one of my favorite restaurants in Campbell because the food selection is amazing and alway cooked to perfection, the drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is cool and friendly. Christian treats us like family and is charming, knowledgeable and welcoming.

Made a reservation for 12 last min & Yay!! winning they were able to accommodate without hesitation. Was able to have dinner here on a karaoke night too. How Fun was that? dinner & free entertainment Parking was not an issue, located in a mini shopping plaza, plenty of spaces, even if you had to walk a little, you'll be fine. From the moment we walked in, the greeter was very friendly & helpful with any questions & our waitress was A1 she was always checking in on us, for refills, concerns, questions & also made sure we knew she was there for us, if needed. Food was Yummy, worth the money we paid & it wasn't pricy at all. Our appetizers did not disappoint & presentation with all the dishes were beautiful. If you don't mind the "older" crowd, then if you haven't been & are wondering about this place, Stop in & check it out yourself. They have something for everyone.

Happy hour taco combo for $19!
    Jackie P.

I went here for the first time with my coworkers this week. They have a great selection of food items, large bar area and the vibe is very welcoming. I had the happy hourr tacos combo which I wasn't sure what to expect like I wasn't sure if it was street tacos or like elevated tacos (since this place has that vibe) but my combo came with 2 street tacos, a shot for $19, then I had the option to add a beer for $4 which was a great deal. I recommend the beef tacos...the meat was seasoned perfectly! I feel theres not alot of places with great tacos but this place surprisingly hit the spot. I had their calamari which was average. Our server was friendly. Although the prices are a bit high for happy hour, i would come back again.

Hey there Party People I have been driving by "Capers" for a while and finally decided to try it. Has a nice vibe for cocktail hour it's a very open restaurant so noise travels freely. Our waitress was very good...never had to ask for more tea We managed to hit happy hour they have a fair amount of options at a discount but it seemed a little pricey still. We got the Chicken Quesadillas. It was not the way I'm used to...it was literally boiled chicken and some Swiss cheese. You did get some sour cream and a Mexican sauce that helped allot. I was missing some chunky salsa with some heat and guacamole. Over all it just lacked flavor for me. For a meal hubby and I decided to split our dishes. We got the Angus Hamburger and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with fries. Let's talk about the fries....i'm a bit of a fry snob so it's tough to impress me. These were very close to McDonald fries in size (thin) but where they lost me a little was the texture. Not as crunchy as I like but still very good. The Angus Burger was super tasty got some jalapeños and sarrachi aioli kicked the flavor up a notch. Perfect cook on the burger nice and juicy. The Chicken sandwich gave you the feeling of sitting in New Orleans just savoring the flavor the only thing missing was a jazz band. Definitely look forward to stopping again and trying something different. The reason I didn't bump up the stars was things were pricey for the size of the plates and the flavor fell a little short on the quesadilla. Be kind to one another

Been here a few times. We popped in for drinks one night and turned out to be karaoke night. It may be because we were under the influence, the karaoke was fun. I've tried the prime rib special and it was just how I ordered. I'll definitely go back for it again. Their onion strings are good. The lamb shank is also really good. It was tender and flavorful. The service is good and the place is clean.

Within easy walking distance of plenty of parking and a parking garage if you don't find anything on the street nearby . Reservations were easy to make and they had a cute light up Happy Birthday sign waiting on the table! The ambiance was dark but had great ambient lighting . I loved the green velvet booths and decor , which evoked old Hollywood glamour ! Tables were set up in way that you didn't have to maneuver around them to get to the bathroom which was roomy and clean! There was a bat and lounge area to one side and seated dining on the other , Our server Camille was amazing ! So attentive and her timing got delivering each Sri name course was on point . Birthday girl asked for suggestions a fruity house cocktail. Instead of just rattling off the fruity drinks, she asked questions to personalize a suggestion and described each drink! The food was fresh and presented nicely. One of my friends and I decided to each order the poke tacos . I loved them! Even though it was probably an appetizer is the right amount for a light meal. My friends ordered the Korean spice chicken and pan seared salmon and they both complimented their meal. I can't remember the all the names-of the drinks except for the Miami Vice the birthday girl ordered . We also got her one that was served lit on fire ! I w myself was happy that they served Ballast Point Sculpin on draft! The lava cake was served with strawberries and delicious! The birthday girl even got a bowl of ice cream, a candle and huge sparkler to hold while we sang happy birthday . I debated rating on my 4 stars for the noise level , but honestly , I can't fault the restaurant for parties having fun . It's a testament to venue excellence! One table though seamed to communicate in hysterical screams every time they had a new drink served. Great place for groups, drinks and easy reservations! My friend used OpenTable) . Will definitely return.

After our first visit last night, I think it's safe to say it is probably the best Happy Hour offering in the SF South Bay. Good quality, good value, great service and nice club/lounge ambiance. Here's what we shared food-wise... * HH Garlic Noodles -- This didn't quite meet my expectation. Described as a "perfectly cooked pasta tossed in rich garlic butter", what we got was more like a soft udon type noodle with a rather starchy garlic sauce. The taste was definitely very garlicky, but the dish could have been much better with an al dente pasta tossed in an actual garlic butter or olive oil. * HH Wagyu Smash Burger -- This was yum! Great flavor, nicely grilled served on a toasted soft brioche bun. ($15 on HH versus $32 witha side of fries on the Dinner Menu :o) * HH Hamachi Crudo -- This was superb! Fresh generous slices of yellowtail topped with sliced lemon, jalapeno, tobiko and microgreens, perfectly matched with Ponzu sauce. ($12 on HH for 4 pieces versus $23 for 5 pieces on the Dinner menu) * HH Crab Cakes -- 2 medium sized blue crab cakes with diced mango and spicy aioli. Pretty decent for $14. * HH Crispy Brussels Sprouts -- Good standard fare. For drinks, we enjoyed... * HH Weather Pinot Noir -- Our server, Mikayla, said it was her favorite wine on the HH menu. It was very nice. * HH Mango Deck -- Reposado, Jalapeno syrup, lime and mango puree with a 151 rum flambee. Great drink if you like sweet, sour and spicy... and it comes with a show as the 151 rum is lit. Will definitely return. Would love to try the HH Grand Seafood Tower with oysters, yellowtail and salmon sashimi, shrimp and lobster ($65 on HH) which we saw another table order. Looks like a great place for a larger party celebration too.

I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. What made the situation even more disappointing was that after speaking to staff in this manner, the manager spent what appeared to be an extended period of time outside the front of the restaurant talking on his cellphone instead of being present on the floor. For a restaurant that specifically recommends family style dining, the courses should be paced more appropriately so the table isn't sitting around waiting for the next round of food. The birthday cake situation was also frustrating. We had given our cake to the hostess when we arrived, but I guess our server was never notified of that. When I asked about a candle, she said she would bring it out with the birthday dessert, but brought out the restaurant's dessert instead. When she realized we had our own cake, she immediately took the bill back and said she needed to add the cake fee. The issue with that was we weren't asking them to cut or plate the cake. We just wanted to sing Happy Birthday, then have it boxed back up. She had assumed we wanted the cake service without actually asking us, and when we clarified, her response was, "Well, that's why I asked earlier," even though she hadn't actually asked us. None of us gave her a hard time or were anything but polite throughout the evening, which made the repeated attitude especially disappointing. The food wasn't terrible and the drinks were great, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, but spending around $900, which included a 20% automatic gratuity, you'd expect the service to match the price point, even though service should always be good regardless. Unfortunately, the poor service really overshadowed what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my friend and left all of us with a bad taste in our mouths.
