    Artichoke hearts ‍
    Hannah W.

Delish! Every bite was a new and exciting flavor! We visited after catching a movie at the local AMC and was delighted by all the yummy bites. Artichoke Hearts had a delicate zest! Cauliflower was hearty and had the perfect amount of garlic. Steak bites were cooked perfectly and served with tender greens on the side. Deviled eggs were the star of the show-splurge and get the shrimp! Tons of parking! Great indoor and patio seating options

Crusted salmon, ahi tuna, short rib

Visited this place since we had some coupons that use up and we were thoroughly disappointed. First of all, it was dead when we got in there and I'm honestly surprised that the two locations remain open due to the amount of business. Overall, the food portions were super small, the food quality was not very good, and the service was horrible. Food with nothing special at all and for a main entrée being around $30, it was not super filling, and the quality was just not there. We got the crusted salmon, the braised short rib, and they ahi tuna. We were also disappointed since the one thing we wanted the lamb was out of stock. They all came with rice and vegetables. Even after the three dishes, we were not fully satisfied and full. Our server was genuinely not the best and gave wrong information and then tried to charge us for bread and butter. We would not return due to this service, food, quality, and the restaurant as a whole. I will most likely not be back and I would not recommend this place anyone.

Capers is one of my favorite restaurants in Campbell because the food selection is amazing and alway cooked to perfection, the drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is cool and friendly. Christian treats us like family and is charming, knowledgeable and welcoming.

Made a reservation for 12 last min & Yay!! winning they were able to accommodate without hesitation. Was able to have dinner here on a karaoke night too. How Fun was that? dinner & free entertainment Parking was not an issue, located in a mini shopping plaza, plenty of spaces, even if you had to walk a little, you'll be fine. From the moment we walked in, the greeter was very friendly & helpful with any questions & our waitress was A1 she was always checking in on us, for refills, concerns, questions & also made sure we knew she was there for us, if needed. Food was Yummy, worth the money we paid & it wasn't pricy at all. Our appetizers did not disappoint & presentation with all the dishes were beautiful. If you don't mind the "older" crowd, then if you haven't been & are wondering about this place, Stop in & check it out yourself. They have something for everyone.

Happy hour taco combo for $19!

I went here for the first time with my coworkers this week. They have a great selection of food items, large bar area and the vibe is very welcoming. I had the happy hourr tacos combo which I wasn't sure what to expect like I wasn't sure if it was street tacos or like elevated tacos (since this place has that vibe) but my combo came with 2 street tacos, a shot for $19, then I had the option to add a beer for $4 which was a great deal. I recommend the beef tacos...the meat was seasoned perfectly! I feel theres not alot of places with great tacos but this place surprisingly hit the spot. I had their calamari which was average. Our server was friendly. Although the prices are a bit high for happy hour, i would come back again.

Hey there Party People I have been driving by "Capers" for a while and finally decided to try it. Has a nice vibe for cocktail hour it's a very open restaurant so noise travels freely. Our waitress was very good...never had to ask for more tea We managed to hit happy hour they have a fair amount of options at a discount but it seemed a little pricey still. We got the Chicken Quesadillas. It was not the way I'm used to...it was literally boiled chicken and some Swiss cheese. You did get some sour cream and a Mexican sauce that helped allot. I was missing some chunky salsa with some heat and guacamole. Over all it just lacked flavor for me. For a meal hubby and I decided to split our dishes. We got the Angus Hamburger and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with fries. Let's talk about the fries....i'm a bit of a fry snob so it's tough to impress me. These were very close to McDonald fries in size (thin) but where they lost me a little was the texture. Not as crunchy as I like but still very good. The Angus Burger was super tasty got some jalapeños and sarrachi aioli kicked the flavor up a notch. Perfect cook on the burger nice and juicy. The Chicken sandwich gave you the feeling of sitting in New Orleans just savoring the flavor the only thing missing was a jazz band. Definitely look forward to stopping again and trying something different. The reason I didn't bump up the stars was things were pricey for the size of the plates and the flavor fell a little short on the quesadilla. Be kind to one another

Been here a few times. We popped in for drinks one night and turned out to be karaoke night. It may be because we were under the influence, the karaoke was fun. I've tried the prime rib special and it was just how I ordered. I'll definitely go back for it again. Their onion strings are good. The lamb shank is also really good. It was tender and flavorful. The service is good and the place is clean.

Food is always delicious and the waitresses are super nice. This review is for the management staff and the bartender working. Last night. There was a Caucasian lady at the bar speaking about immigrants and Mexican people the entire time. She had obviously had too much to drink but they allowed her to continue. Screaming racial comments and making our entire experience very uncomfortable. If there's someone that's had too much to drink. Get them Uber home. Let your other customers enjoy their meal without any racist comments. I don't know if I'll ever be coming back. It's too bad. This is one of my most memorable Valentine's Day dates for us as a couple. Had the lampshank. It was really good. But I don't understand why they wouldn't ask her to leave. Made us feel very uncomfortable. All we did was smile and walk out.

beef sliders - meatloaf in a bun
    Elaine Y.

Had a gift card from Capers a friend gave me so we decided to finally go and use it. Went during happy hour so they weren't busy and we were able to order from the happy hour and specials menu. We started off with two beef sliders - and when we first got them we were not impressed. It's just a chunk of their meatloaf in between two soft rolls (look like Hawaiian rolls). But don't let the looks deceive - they were DELICIOUS!! I think even for happy hour $5 for ONE little slider was a bit much so for happy hour value - it wasn't worth it... We then got the caprese stuffed avocado. I was really excited about the dish. Overall all the ingredients were good but that sauce was VERY over powering. Thank goodness for the avocado but it was just okay... The dish I did enjoy was the crab cake Caesar salad. The crab cake was a good size, tasty and enjoyed with the crispy romaine with the nice caesar dressing was really good. Out of all the dishes I think this was my favorite. At the end we decided to get one of the specials - the lemon garlic cauliflower - which was surprisingly VERY GOOD. The cauliflower was charred and grilled perfectly with bit of garlic and a nice lemon sauce. We could only eat half of it - as it's a good size - I took the rest home and actually cut it up and put it into a omelet I made the next day and it was SO GOOD... I need to learn how to make this!! Service was okay - they were nice - though we stood at the front for the longest time as it was pretty quiet and folks were at the bar but it took a while for anyone to come and greet us and seat us. I usually am pretty positive about the places I try but given the lack of service and the food was just so so and still pricey for happy hour prices I don't think I'll be back. But because I got the gift card at least we were able to try it...

Love this place. It is owned by the same guy that owns loft bar and bistro. Omg I finally got my carpaccio I've been waiting to have again for years. Yay !!! I've been knowing Adrian, bar manager, for more than 15 years. We came to see him. Had wonderful food , cocktails , laughs , memories. Love this place.

No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

Unfortunately I do not remember what I had...except for one that had "absinthe" which was obviously the fake American version of it. But you should be assured the quality here is real good. I had to dock 1 star for the interesting choice of leaving the emergency door ajar all night the time i went. While it did help with the steamy temps inside, wow did it ruin the night for those who sit close to the door! It was very cold and windy so maybe leaving it too open was an uninformed choice. Parking is tricky, it's mostly street. There's some residential areas you can park at if you don't mind walking farther. Definitely going back, but a little farther away from the door next time.

The crab was very fresh and each crostini had a large portion of crab on top. The Brussels sprouts were very crispy and very umami with the cheese and bacon combination mixed in. The empanada was honestly a showstopper. I don't know how to describe it other than you have to try it. Both pastas were good but I prefer the mushroom one over the short rib ragu. The halibut was also good, and the basil sauce made it even better. I was already super impressed with everything but I think the stars were the 2 desserts. The Dubai cheesecake was an Italian style cheesecake, so it was a lot lighter than I was expecting (which was welcomed) and captured the essence of Dubai chocolate without being too overwhelming. The Lira in Wonderland was also SO good. It had a crown of cotton candy and was a mix of biscoff cookies, dehydrated red velvet cake (don't knock it till you try it), butterscotch sauce, and strawberries. I was honestly blown away by this meal.

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.
