We reached out to owner and found a compassionate, honest person . He was very fair in reviewing current work completed, work needed to be finished, and missed. His Foreman came out and spent all the time needed to make things right. He worked within a seniors heightened challenges and worry. They even set appointment to revisit and finalize work. They were prompt and courteous on each visit and really tried to go the extra mile to make this experience pleasurable. We were comfortable adding on some additional work that was considered optional to complete the entire project and all its options. We scheduled service and within 48 hours water heater was replaced. I have to compliment Mat on the work done, he was very courteous and explained everything well. July 2016 I was working on remodeling my garage on Saturday and decided I could not install my utility sink without some modifications, so I decided to call Cape Plumbing who I used in the past. I called about noon and was but expecting them to be out for a couple days because it was a Saturday, but they send someone out right away. The technician that came out was up front on the cost and everything was included (including a couple extra parts). He was quick, efficient and tested everything before he left. I asked for an estimate to reorganize a backlogging kitchen sink and to install a vanity and toilet in a powder room. I was supplying the vanity and toilet. The final quote was $1250. A very nice gentleman Tom showed up when he said he would, explained everything. He insisted I needed to change the garbage disposal, which I told him was about 3 years old and working fine. He said it was because of the height of the neck. Every time I tried to ask him how much it would be if I just bought the garbage disposal he would avoid it slightly and said they would provide it. He even gave me the product they would use, told me it was about $225. Insinkerator Badger 5. I just looked it up, it is $100.99 at home depot. I guess I look like someone that doesn't look up the prices of anything? He kept confusing his numbers when he wrote the quote, then changed the numbers when i kept asking the details. For replacing a toilet they had originally told me on the phone $225, then Tom told me they charge $125 for each shutoff they have to replace, which I thought was a lot. I have had 2 bathrooms redone completely and every time the contractor decides I need a new shutoff, they usually just ask for the cost of the part. So based on this, replacing 2 shutoffs for the vanity would cost more than replacing a whole toilet? He came back after he left originally, to ask if they had told me about the $65 estimate fee. I said no, because I was never told that. I feel that should've been specified when I scheduled the appointment, and if the customer says they were never told, maybe make some kind of arrangement. I guess I also look like a liar.. Anyway, based on the reviews, seems like this company does good work for most people(?), but I completely lost trust based on multiple things. I would never call this company again. Someone that has done work in by bathroom in the past just quoted me less than half the price. read more

My monthly water bill and usage had increased by 5-7 gallons a month for 2 consecutive months. I did as much as I knew to do to locate the leak. I knew that it wasn't a broken pipe in the walls or ceiling, 2 story house, that water would have been readily visible. I had a plumber come out, didn't charge me, Affordable Budget Plumbing Services. I wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something simple. He advised me that the leak was under the slab of my house and I needed a leak detection company to come out and at the minimum locate and mark the manifolds (water supply before and after the leak). He recommended American Leak Detection. I'm on a fixed income and needed the manifolds marked so I could shop the job, called a bypass loop, around to different plumbers. I got a price from American Leak detection. It was more than I wanted to spend, so I googled a plumbing company that also did leak detection. They were cheaper and I was told I would be credited the the cost of the leak detection service if I used them. I spoke with Mark twice, once before and after the appointment was set. I wanted it to be clear that the scope of the leak detection would include the marking of the manifolds. He assured me they would. This morning the technician called to inform me when he'd arriving. His name is Tom. I made it clear to him that Mark assured me that he would mark the location of the manifolds. He danced around giving a direct answer. I informed him that I wanted it to specify on the invoice that he would mark the manifolds. Well, when he arrived I met him outside. The only thing on the invoice/job order was leak detection. I told him I wouldn't allow him to enter my house until he wrote on the invoice that he would mark the manifolds. He wouldn't do it. He said he needed to go in the house to look at the situation and possibly have to cap off the manifolds to find the leak. I told him that was not within the scope of leak detection, there are specialized equipment for locating leaks. Once he started doing additional work I'd be responsible for payment for that work. It was a way for him to somewhat guarantee I'd have to use their company for the bypass work. He was rude, hostile and started yelling at me. He was saying if he didn't find the leak I didn't have to pay. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. I would have been 100% Satisfied if he included in the invoice what I asked him too. And I wasn't going to allow to doing any work, capping off any pipes. I told him he needed to leave. I now had no confidence in him and Cape Plumbing. I called the company and asked Mark to call me about what had taken place. He was cordial and apologized. I don't believe this plumbing company has the sophisticated equipment needed to do leak detection. I think they want to get their foot in the door and then you have no option but to use them. I based this assumption on the fact that when I mentioned to Mark that I'd be using American Leak Detection, he willingly told what a good company they were. I'll let the readers of this post draw their own conclusions. Can't review their plumbing work, but I definitely would recommend to the readers not to use them for leak detection. Find a company that the only thing they do is Leak Detection!!!!!! read more

I called the Broward area number (954)260-5352 requesting a leak detection test. When I spoke with the plumber on the phone, he wanted to charge me $275 for a simple leak detection. Apparently he didn't know what he was advertising on his website nor did he know what I was talking about. This is what his website said about leak detection. "With the advancements in leak detection technology we can now locate plumbing leaks electronically.
