My family and I have been coming to Cape May for as long as I can remember, however it's been a…read morewhile since we have done a carriage ride! We were killing time before our dinner reservation this week and decided to see if they had any availability. We were in luck and able to get on the Cinderella carriage right away! It is the perfect size for a family of 4. Our driver was so nice. I forget her name but she was a brunette and so sweet! She gave us great history of the town as we drove around. Our horse's name was Oreo and he was so adorable. It was about a 30 minute ride. I definitely recommend doing this at Christmastime so you can see all the beautiful lights on the historic Cape May homes! I look forward to taking another carriage ride some time soon :)

My husband and I went on one of these tours years ago and loved it. This year, we had a visitor…read morefrom Northern Ireland with us and we wanted to show her what we could of the area. We had taken her on the trolley tour which was great, but because the car has a roof on it, it was difficult to see some of the stuff, especially if it was on the other side of the trolley and/or up high. We decided to take her on the carriage tour 1) just because it's cool and 2) so she could see more from the open carriage. Our 'driver' appeared to be new, and was learning how to control the horse through the busy Cape May streets. We had a 'trainer' with her who gave her pointers along the way. I think because of her newness and preoccupation with controlling the horse, she would forget we couldn't really hear her when she was facing forward. If you look at the carriages going by, you''ll notice the drivers are almost always turned to the side while they're talking so their passengers can hear what they're saying. Ours still needed to get the system down. No worries on that, we understood she was training. I can't remember how long the ride took, but it was a very pleasant and relaxed way to see the streets of Cape May and get some history of the area. Our foreign guest was most happily gobsmacked with the experience. Yes, I would recommend this experience and yes, I would most certainly do it again. A romantic horse and carriage ride through a romantic town. What's not to like?

The crew, Matt, Melissa, and Lenny, couldn't have been more accommodating. Melissa, the captain as well as the naturalist on board, was extremely knowledgeable and articulate in her presentation of marine life in the area. The children were engaged and had a wonderful time, especially when they got to touch a horseshoe crab!! We saw lots of dolphins and learned a lot about Cape May sites and history. We had a wonderful day and I would recommend this trip for all!!

Our first sighting were a bunch of dolphin and they gave us a great show. Then, later in the cruise, we were lucky enough to see a juvenile humpback whale. He waved with his tail multiple times. We saw the air coming out of the blow hole. He even fully breached, but it was so fast, no one in our party had their cameras ready. On the way back to the dock, we saw a ton of dolphin forming a bait ball. Really cool trip. The naturalists were so friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely do this again! Super time. PS I have a video of the whale, but was not successful in attaching. I will keep trying.

They traditionally take the form of a large family home with a limited number of rooms and offer hospitality services on a personal level. Located in the historic district of Cape May, the B&Bs are upscale accommodations, mostly Victorian houses. Situated off of Ocean Street, the Queen Victoria is very popular, decorated with period antiques and furniture. They feature AC for the summer and a gas fireplace in winter with delicious breakfast and afternoon tea. My partner and I stayed at the Hampton Court suite in the Prince Albert Hall on the Queen Victoria's grounds as first-timers this weekend. It definitely did not disappoint. The room was clean, cozy, quaint, at the right temperature, and had everything we needed. It was conveniently within a walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants. Bikes, beach chairs, and beach towels were provided to all guests. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Samantha. We had arrived late after the front desk closed. She greeted us Saturday morning and was very informative. This establishment is an ideal choice for couples, weekend getaways with friends, and families with well-behaved children.
