We had the best time-enjoyed it a lot-lots of fun activities with sea creatures, very good interaction with kids, lots of funny jokes (thanks Bob), very kid friendly-my 3 nieces ages 9 to 13 really enjoyed it.

The kids loved (gently) touching the animals that were brought on board before being re-released

This was such an amazing experience for the whole family. We did the Marine Life Safari...the kids loved learning about the animals and riding on the boat. The naturalists on board were experts on all of the plants and animals, and we all learned a ton. My 2 year old loved touching the horseshoe crabs, my 10 year old really got her hands wet and was holding shrimp and crabs and walking in the marsh (wear shoes you can get muddy if you want to go in the marsh!). My 13 year old got to drive the boat and chat w the captain. We saw dolphins, sea stars, hermit crabs, all kinds of birds, and some sort of sting-ray looking creature. Go do this with your kids now. Highly recommend!

[957] 7/17/2019 Hubby decided to reserve this excursion due to all the positive review on trip advisor. I'm so glad we did as the three of us enjoyed our trip (couple of hours). The guide is a biology teacher and very knowledgeable on all the birds and local things. His assistant is also very friendly and knew a lot. They were both friendly with child and had a ton of stuff for kids to touch and participate. This is DEFINITELY a kid friendly trip. You don't need a kid as I enjoyed learning about the birds.. .seeing the nest... Just life Plenty of parking at this dock. There is no "office' but you will easily see the boat and know where to go.. There are snacks/drinks available for purchase on the boat. There is a small bathroom but go before you get on as I heard it's small. I'm glad we took this trip and would definitely do it again.

Today was a beautiful day for a boat ride on the Skimmer! Our kids enjoyed every moment of the two hour trip without even realizing they were being educated about the important marine life in the salt marshes around Cape May! Captain Travis and his crew never disappoint!

My family and I had an amazing time exploring the back waters and salt marsh. The team onboard were friendly and very informative on every creature they pulled out of the water. Highly recommend going on a trip with them!

Spent a lovely morning on the Skimmer Salt Marsh Safari. Boat captain and naturalist were full of information and very enthusiastic. Company has done a great job navigating COVID restrictions. Boat was filled at half capacity and everyone wore masks for the duration of the ride. Consider bringing your own binoculars if you have them. Saw bald eagles, Peregrine falcons, Osprey, cormorants, gulls and other small critters scooped from the water. Would recommend this trip as a great way to learn about the marsh AND as a peaceful way to enjoy the water.

Falcon, one of three we saw.

They run a similar tour out of the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, which I went on about 15 years ago, and also enjoyed.

This is NOT deep sea fishing -- and you will probably NOT take whatever you catch because it will be too small. But if trawling the 12 foot bay with 2 baited hooks on a basic rod/reel rig with the occasional hit interests you -- this charter could be your thing. The Groupon price point is quite reasonable. Captain Tony is an engaging and hospitable host and his new pontoon style boat is steady and accommodates a dozen plus very comfortably. That's about the complement we had on our morning excursion and this is the first year he is running this boat in Cape May. Top Tip: Great for kids who have never fished before -- they will land something -- we all did -- mostly baby sea bass and mud sharks. The crew is helpful and the experience pleasant.

The captain and mate were very helpful, explained how to fish, and knew a lot about the wildlife. The tour can hold 49 and there was 14 on the boat so there was plenty of personal interaction. One group caught 2 Flounders, another group caught a shark, and my group caught 2 crab and a Sea Robin. The day before, the captain told us they caught a 24 inch Flounder! Overall, this was a 5 Star trip. What I liked: Crew good with kids Crew always helping someone Reasonable price Dropped a crab trap on the way out (kids got to pick the spot) What I did not like: Sea bugs all over (crew offered big spray which helped) Catch more fish

If you are looking at other venues in Cape May stop looking and call Kristin Gleason immediately to…read morebook the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May! We booked our initial meeting with Kristin on a Saturday in October for a a potential wedding date the following September. When we told people we were going to meet with Kristin and potentially hold our wedding at CYCCM we received so many raving reviews that we were initially skeptical that she could be that wonderful. Well, she IS that wonderful and we were completely satisfied with every aspect of the venue and her services. Kristin is extremely professional and uniquely approachable from the minute you meet with her you realize that you are in the best possible hands for your big day! Kristin listened to our interest and concerns and built out a perfect day for us. She offered great recommendations and were happy to have Kristin's expertise providing feedback. I don't even know where to start with a review of the venue as Kristin and Harry offered such a fantastic experience for us and for our guests. I will attempt to break it down below but know that you have to see and experience for yourself. The venue The venue is spectacular for a small, intimate wedding. You can't get a better location than on the bay with the setting sun. We were able to get some fantastic pictures based on the views and location. We were looking for more of an elegant party feel for our event and CYCCM was able to deliver. CYCCM offered an intimate dining experience, casual lounge feel with the wicker couches for guest to linger, corn hole, and an amazing fire pit that was a huge hit! We received the most feedback regarding the second floor deck and happy hour. We loved it so much we opted to an hour and half happy hour prior to the event and with the sun setting it felt like we had invited everyone to a tropical getaway. You don't get a better view than that deck overlooking the bay at sunset. The venue has a great flow from the dining area, to the lounging and cocktail areas, to the amazing brick ceremony/ dance floor overlooking the bay. Kristin suggested we get a tent - just in case -and I would say that it was well worth the money and piece of mind given that they called for rain on the day of our event. We live in Cape May in the summer and we are very familiar with other wedding venue locations and have been to a few weddings in Cape May. This was the best experience of them all. The food The hardest part about the food was choosing which fantastic menu to go with from the appetizers, and hors d'oeuvres, to the dinner it feels like you are eating at a fine dining establishment. Harry has been a restauranteur in Cape May for many years and has owned some of the best establishments in Cape May. CYCCM is lucky to have Harry and you will not be disappointed in the food! When we told our parents that we were going to hold our event at CYCCM they were all thrilled. My father mentioned that he still dreams of the Grouper Charleston entrée from one of Harry's restaurants and was extremely happy when they offered it as an option for the event. We received so many complements on the food and how it was presented to the table, how beautifully prepared, and how delicious the food was. Again, Harry and team offered a multi star restaurant experience for one hundred people! Amazing! The experience Kristin and Harry treat their staff extremely well and it shows in the delivery and presentation. Servers were attentive and on top of their game. Bartenders worked with speed and efficiency and with a smile on their face the whole time. The team was also fantastic at transitioning from the ceremony to the reception with ease. The staff were skilled at greeting and directing guests like a well oiled machine. We also received many complements from our guests about how they were treated during the event. When we met with Kristin we told her we wanted a classy but not formal party for our ceremony and reception. Kristin and Harry delivered a special event not just for us but for our family, friends, and all of our guests. Six months after the event people are still talking about the venue, the food, and the service. I recommend Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May with my highest recommendation. I can't thank Kristin, Harry and team enough for allowing us to host a spectacular event. Cape May is lucky to have such a wonderful venue and crew!
