They were very thorough about how to use and what to use to go crabbing. They repeated the directions on how to start the boat motor and they were very patient with my mom who uses a walking stick and little wobbly getting in and out. They were so helpful they helped her get in and out. We had the best time getting a lot of crabs for this season. We went early for 7:30am time and it started getting hot as we ended at 11:30am. read more

Highly recommend this place!! Very chill place with a great vibe. We rented a boat for 1/2 day, easy!! $109. Did not have to leave a credit card or anything!! The owner gave us a map with great directions. It was a perfect morning. We came home with more clams than we knew what to do with. My granddaughter had a fantastic time exploring all the creatures as well as clamming. I would have spent more for 1dinner out for clams than I did renting a boat and getting the license & clamming ourselves. Put this on your bucket list!! It is a must for your memory bank. read more

we rented a pontoon boat from this marina. all the men at whale creek were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. they were exceptional to work with. we have rented many boats in the past and this marina is by far the best we have rented from. highly recommend. Plus it's so beautiful being out in the bay enjoying nature. The school of cow nose stingrays that floated under us were a great surprise. I have been coming down to Sea Isle City for as long as I can remember. Started crabbing when I was a toddler and I can remember Franks boats! Now the new owner I believe his name is Morgan and the deck hand Adam are great! Just finished another fantastic summer of crabbing and can't wait to be back! The boats are very serviceable with a decent outboard motor. Lines are sold for $2.50 and they have bait / knifes/ nets if needed. Staff was super friendly and Adam gives great advice. Great time renting at Whale Creek today. Been coming here for years and always a fun experience crabbing and fishing. Management definitely takes pride in training staff with high expectations for the customer experience. Very aware and attentive to our plans and overheard the same as they served other customers. Clean boat, well stocked with gear and ice, a very informative briefing, and most importantly of all, they recommended bait, rigs, and locations for fishing. Good place to rent boats for crabbing. I have been renting from them for years. The boats can fit four comfortably. They have all the supplies needed. I recommend that you bring buckets or cooler to store your catch. Also recommend that you bring bug spray to keep the flies off. Prices are very reasonable. read more

A great experience from start to finish. Greeted with a cheery welcome, clean boat and a great review of the in and outs of the engine. They provide great navigation tips and some great places to fish. They also provide a bait board that also serviced as a marker for keeper flounder this was an awesome tool! The boats here are clean and well maintained. Understand that a one pull start on an outbaord motor is very much a plus. The directions given to us related to fishing spots were helpful. Overall including ice and some minor gear rental fees we paid $105 for 4 hours of fun on the water fishing and crabbing. It's a pleasant way to pass the time. read more
