Something fro my home was missing after these guys did their work: THE $@&*%#! ANTS!!! Thanks for quickly, quietly and expertly eliminating our infestation. read more

Gene answered my call promptly, and arrived right on time. He treated our bed bugs and gave me an expert analysis of the extent of the infestation. He also gave us a lot of information on how to prevent bed bugs in the future, etc. (We had never had them before so were newbies). He also scheduled a re-treat appointment before he left. Very appreciated! read more

Just plain outstanding service! They showed up quickly and resolved our rodent issue by sealing off all entry points into our garage for a very reasonable price. When I asked them to also check the crawl-space under our house, they pulled out a flashlight, crawled under the house, and set traps there, too. I actually tried to give them $100 for the extra work, since it was beyond what we initially asked them to do; but they refused to take the money. It's been three months since we had the work done, and the rodents have not come back. Couldn't be happier with these guys' work. read more

I would recommend this service. Reliable, pleasant, efficient, easy to schedule, reasonably priced, and a one-year guarantee. I am a landlord and there were ants in the kitchen of a one-bedroom apartment that I rent out. Gene returned my message within 24 hours and was able to schedule a time to come to the rental property within 48 hours. I had never used a pest control service before and he gladly answered all my questions. I was not present when he treated the property, but I trusted him and things proceeded smoothly. I left a check for him under the mat on the front porch. The tenants were present so they let him in, he treated their unit and the outside of the building (to destroy the nest that was generating the ants), and then left his invoice under the mat as he left. I have received no further concerns from my tenants so I assume the ants are gone. The treatment is guaranteed for a year. The fee, $250 to treat a one-bedroom apartment and the outside of the building, I thought was reasonable. I would use Capable Pest Control again (though I hope I don't have to!). read more

I like to receive services from smaller and local businesses. I read the reviews about "Capable Pest Control", and the reviews were on point. We received professional, caring, and the very "capable" service. I have bed bugs, ugh!@#*&%. He treated our apartment and even I spoke to him the next day or so and he told me where they were located, even give me the description of the furniture to a "t:. He really noticed our furniture! - I thought this was wonderful. He treated my place on Saturday and will return in 2 weeks to treat again. I think I will have him come for maintenance every couple of months, only because I just now know more about these @##$% pests. I seen one move, must of been baby, it was like a small dot moving. Also, I want this company to continue to come because I think it will take time for me to get the "heebie geebies" feeling gone and that I trust that Capable Pest Control will get rid of these @#$$%^ pests. Oh, his has a great assistance, very friendly as well as Gene. Th They explained things to us and answered our questions. I'm not looking for nor paying a big company for saying large, fancy words that I don't understand . I like plain folk. Well worth the cost for 2 treatments. This is my first experience with these bed bugs and I never ever want to go thru this again! I highly recommend "Capable Pest Control". I took the time to write this review because I want people who want good, honest service to call them. Also, I paid them via credit card before treatment and then left them in our apartment to do their work - we were gone about 4 hours. No worries, they are very honest, even they even treated the pillows and stacked them so nicely and treated a mattress and the place looked neater than before I left. read more

I hired Capable Pest Control to fog my house as a means to control various insects infestations in our home and Gene has been excellent to work with! read more

Jene, the owner of Capable Pest Control is the BEST EVER pest control company that I've ever had. The service is excellent and the price is reasonable. I feel very lucky to find a such company to do the service for my rental properties. read more

Two and a half years later, and still no ants. Still extremely satisfied with this service.

Excellent service! At the end of the service I felt like a family member! Gene was so helpful and had the best "bedside manner" ever. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. It is rare to find someone good at their job, that shows up when suppose to and who is nice too! Reasonable price too. read more

Just awesome. Thorough, professional and responsive. Gene was in the house same day as our call with a plan to help.

My yellow jacket problem was solved within hours of my phone call. Two men arrived with everything needed--bright lights etc. A short time later I paid a very reasonable fee, problem solved. The next day, as Gene suggested, I checked but found only one live, very lost looking yellow jacket and the next morning, none. Gene and his assistant were prepared, knowledgeable and efficient, plus being pleasant, and the two worked together with complete cooperation. read more

Use them! I called at about 10 A.M. this morning after getting stung by a yellow jacket. Their nest is right near our driveway next to the sidewalk. Gene and his assistant called back and said they would be here between 1-3. They got here at 1:30 and within 10 minutes had taken care of our infestation and taken the time to answer all my questions. Now I don't have to worry about people walking on the sidewalk in front of our house. Thanks Gene! They also guarantee their work for 1 year. read more

This is a wonderful service. Great job, quick response and at a reasonable price. There is no one I would call for a rodent problem but Capable Pest Control! read more

Gene is kind, courteous, conscientious and he gets the job done. Highly recommended.

We've been using Capable Pest Control for years. After noticing yellow jacket bees entering a vent on the exterior of our house, I immediately called Gene who was working in our same town. He arrived in 10 minutes and assessed the problem. He already had another job so returned the next morning to get rid of the bees. Gene and Jim arrived in morning and took care of the problem and sprayed around the exterior of our house. Gene is a professional and knows what he's doing. I highly recommend Capable Pest Control. read more

Gene returned my call within a day and came out to check on rodent problem. They gave me options including setting poison in old existing boxes. It worked fine and I thought of him later when I found a termite problem. He returned my call quickly, informed me of some possibilities and that this is not in their license. Gave me a rec for another local company. Honest and reliable with reasonable prices. read more

I couldn't be more happy with the service that Gene and his brother provide. They are on time, did all the work they promised and a bit more, came back to check traps. They inspected everything thoroughly, explained their process and I feel that if I need to call them for any reason they wil be here. This was especially nice, since I had been working briefly with another company that was high pressure and not very responsive. Gene is low key, honest and follows through. Highly recommend! Thanks! read more

These guys are great! Responsive, good rates, and very helpful. Gene came out to spray my yard for fleas and helped me identify another problem in the garage and even did a complementary spray for me to help control the problem. read more

We had spotted a rat in the rafters of the basement in our home. After we called Capable, Gene came within a day or two to make an assessment and bid for the work. In the first visit he identified several places where rats could get into the basement and also noted that none of the vents into the attic space had screens to prevent entry into that space. On the second visit a few days later he spent several hours fixing all of the areas he had identified. He said that the attic did not show evidence of rats having been there, but in the basement he located the opening that the rats had used. He set traps in the attic and basement and then returned two more times, each several days later, to check the traps. For each of these four visits he was always right on time, and he explained things clearly and answered all our questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Gene and his company for this very professional service. read more

I was very happy with the service provided by Gene and Jim of Capable Pest Control. He was very personable and helpful and responded to phone calls promptly. He helped me by humanely evicting two squirrels from the attic of my house in Berkeley. I was very pleased that no poison was used and methods used were humane to animals. The area between the rain gutter and roof where the squirrels were entered was repaired and I have not had problems with animal activity since then. Costs were reasonable. read more

I chose Capable Pest Control based on a lot of time spent on Yelp reading pest control reviews and I am so very happy with my decision. They were very responsive -- just two days from when I called them to when they came to my house to treat for ants. Gene was very friendly and professional and, now, two days later....not a single ant in sight. The cost was very reasonable and the warranty is a comfort that if the ants come back, all I need to do is call them. My house is quite large and they treated every room and the entire outside. Having had terrible ant problems in the past, I am really thrilled that I found this company. Thank you so much! read more

Gene came quickly and on time. They wore shoe protectors which had me from the get go. He was so helpful and did a thorough inspection and looked in every nook and cranny. We had roof rats in the past and Gene was able to reassure me that we were still OK. I would not hesitate to call him again for any pest related problem. I had confidence in Gene's skills and appreciate that he communicated so well. Peace of mind! read more

Thank heaven for Gene! My husband and I can finally sleep in our own nice bed again after weeks of scratchy rat feet skittering over our heads in the night. We'd tried another company first, and I can't emphasize enough what a night and day difference it was to find Gene. -- Not only professional, trustworthy, and knows his business, but was very persistent in the face of a mystifying challenge. Our bedroom is on the finished third floor where our ceiling almost touches the roof. There is no crawl space, so the problem was to find the way the rats were getting in through the roof. After setting traps and closing every possible roof opening he could find, Gene was about to give up, but he didn't! On the last try he found a tiny opening way up under where two angles of the roof meet. He sealed it. That did it, because the rats have been gone for two months now. We are so grateful that Gene didn't give up. read more

I've lived in rodent-strewn Rockridge for over 25 years and have had to get help from pest control people several times. It's never pleasant. This summer, once we'd heard the pitter-patter of little feet, I contacted several companies who insisted that our situation was dire and would require thousands of dollars to remedy. Then I talked to Gene from Capable Pest Control. He was friendly, calm, kind and low-key. He came over, inspected our house, identified entry points, and laid traps (with a commitment to come back 3 times in the future to check the traps, all for $350. He also gave us an unbelievably reasonable estimate for making the needed repairs. He promised to return quickly if the traps did their work before his scheduled return. And when I called (shakily) 4 hours later to report the 1st strike, he was here within a half hour to haul it pick it up. When he did the repair work he discovered that the roof access point was more extensive than he had first thought. But he just went ahead and did all of the work needed to restrict rodent entry - all without charging another dime. Throughout all of this he was matter-of-fact, funny and reassuring. I hope we will not have to call Gene again, but I look forward to seeing him again if we do. I ABSOLUTELY AND HEARTILY RECOMMEND Capable Pest Control. read more

These guys are great! I'm so glad I found Capable Pest Control. Gene and Jim are awesome. The first time I contacted them, we had a huge yellow jacket issue right in front of our house. I called them on a Saturday and they came on the next day... a Sunday morning! They gave me such a good price too! They came very promptly that morning and took care of business in 15 minutes! The yellow jackets were gone the following day. (They do take a day to give up on their missing home.) Then last week, we noticed another wasp nest... we thought maybe the old ones moved over! So I contacted Gene again. He called me back the next day and came that very day! They sprayed it, removed the nest by hand! It was amazing. Gene and Jim were so nice. Gene really went above and beyond when he told me I didn't have to pay for their second visit. No matter what pest issue I have in the future, I will be going back to Capable Pest Control. I'll be referring them to everyone else as well. Go with these guys, you won't regret it! read more
