After we ripped up the entire carpeted space and treated it--I wanted info from a professional to see if there was anything else that we needed to do before getting the affected slab ground down and polished. I spoke with several companies who were unhelpful over the phone or charging ridiculous fees just to come out and provide an estimate. Mathew, the owner of Puget Sound Water Rescue was timely in his responsiveness over the Yelp App (on a Sunday afternoon) and ultimately provided us the perspective and information that we needed to determine whether or not professional remediation services were warranted at this point. Ultimately we determined with his help that they were not. Despite the fact that we did not end up hiring (anyone), his knowledge, honesty, and helpfulness were 5 stars worthy. Highly recommend talking to and/or Mathew for your remediation needs!

So, when my portable AC leaked onto my flooring last night, I knew who I was going to contact. I called when they opened, and found out that he was booked for the next week. I decided to send him a message to see if there was a company he would recommend to me. He actually responded immediately and said that he'd be able to squeeze me in! You have no idea how grateful I was to hear that. He gave me two time options, and called me when he was on the way. I had no idea how much water had made its way into my flooring, so I was preparing myself for the worst. Turns out, it didn't end up being a catastrophe! Matthew used a thermal camera, and a moisture meter to inspect for moisture on the floor/subfloor and flex ducting. Once again, he was thorough at his job, and in his communication. It's difficult finding people that take pride in their work, are trustworthy, and do a great job. I've had quite a few companies do various types of jobs for me, and there are only two who I'd recommend. Mathew with Puget Sound Water Rescue is one of them!

From the very beginning, their team was professional, responsive, and extremely helpful. They took care of the entire water damage restoration process, including removing the damaged materials, drying and restoring the affected areas, and repairing my house back to its pre-loss condition. They also helped me navigate the insurance claim process, which made a very stressful situation much easier. David was absolutely great to work with. He walked me through the entire process, explained everything clearly, and was there to help whenever I had questions. Honestly, thank God I had Green Planet Restoration--without their help, I wouldn't have known what to do or how to handle the insurance claim and restoration process. I highly recommend Green Planet Restoration to anyone dealing with water damage, a burst pipe, an insurance claim, or any type of home restoration. They did an excellent job from start to finish, and I truly appreciate all their help!

The night before floor…read morecontractors were scheduled to come to our home, David cold-called us about replacing the flooring. He was able to come out that evening to provide an estimate, which we appreciated and accepted. We later discovered that this visit resulted in an after-hours charge of nearly $500, something we were not aware of at the time. While at our home, David discovered that some areas had not been completely dried by the first company. Because we had an active insurance claim, and with our permission, he immediately arranged for his crew to continue the drying process. At first, we felt he was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely focused on our needs. Our insurance company requested that a third party inspect and confirm some of the issues David had identified. David insisted on being present during that inspection. The situation was uncomfortable, and we were later surprised to see an additional $119 charge for his involvement. Five days later, we contacted the original company about their failure to completely dry the affected areas. They acknowledged the issue, wanted to make things right, and asked for the opportunity to earn our business back. We therefore notified Green Planet that we were ending their services. Unfortunately, this is when our experience changed considerably. The tone and attitude toward us became harsh and uncomfortable. Although we had understood that the mitigation work would be handled through our insurance claim, we were suddenly told the bill needed to be paid by us immediately. We were also contacted by a collections company and told that if the bill wasn't paid by Friday, a lien would be placed on our home. We were disappointed by the way the situation was handled. Our initial impression was that customer needs were the priority, but once we decided not to continue using the company, we felt the relationship changed dramatically. Our experience is ultimately a reminder to carefully review all charges and understand the payment terms before allowing work to begin--especially when insurance is involved.

After each day, I was checking on them and noticed that equipment was turned off (which should be working all night) and noticed bad smell of Marijuana in my house. Then I noticed broken blinds and dent on my new refrigerator. I called owner (Alex Sitnik) who told me don't worry we will take care of it. After 1 week they sent my insurance bill for 27k which my insurance didn't want to pay, because they overcharged. (They paid 23k) Then I started getting emails from this company asking to pay difference or they will put me on collection, I called Alex Sitnik and he said don't worry, it's just strategy to scare insurance. After a few months I got the same emails again, called Alex and no answer, a few weeks later I got call from collection.... Alex blocked me, My friend who new him called him and he blocked him as well. I Paid $3,500 to collection and never heard from Alex Sitnik again, please don't make my mistake!!!!

He gave us an honest assessment to compare with the insurance adjustor, provided a ton of helpful additional info to two panicked first time homebuyers, and even brought out a dehumidifier for us until we could rent more. He was too booked out to take our mitigation job at the time- and was honest about that which is rare- but checked in with us to see after the fact to see how we were doing. He really does care about people making the best choice in a crappy situation. My whole family works in the building trades and you can just tell when someone is passionate about their work and treats the homes of their customers like it's their own. You can spot transparency and honesty from a sales pitch. Sean is someone I would absolutely trust to work on my home.
