Cuban bakery and coffee shop. Huge variety pastries, cakes, and appetizers. Loved the Cuban coffee. Quick customer service

This past weekend, my friends and I stopped by CAO to grab lunch. They always have good food and the service is great. We basically all were in the mood for a Cuban sandwich! They have a great selection of sandwiches, pastelitos and wraps. But I prefer a good Cuban sandwich myself. And the a cafecito. Easy parking. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance.

I love coming here. But again, if you don't really speak Spanish, you feel a bit intimidated. With my little Spanish and English, I communicated my order. Now they have my favorite, croquetas de bacalao! So, I got ham and bacalao. They were not so hot but had a great flavor. My only complaint..... I wish my cafe con leche was hot. It was like warm. They have this cool point system that you can use them towards their food.

Love this spot! They have restrooms towards the back. Spacious inside and some tables too. There's a plethora of different things you can get. But my eyes set in three things. Guava bread, cheese bread, and the ham or meat rolls. Reminiscent of the bakery down in LA Porto's, this was the very spot I got put in guava bread and was ecstatic when I found a similar version in LA. Now it needs a branch in San Francisco! I'd be extra esssited and happy to have em here in the city. Love the goods and how there's a Yelp check in for a free tasting if a pastry of your choice! Service was great, just missed one of my order, bet cuz it was pretty big. Got that fixed ASAP. Thank you oh and the Cuban coffee shots are so fun! Always look forward and recommend the spot to others when they visit Miami.

Clean, bright, lovely and well maintained Cuban bakery, many pastries everything look delicious. They have breads available as well as empanadas and sandwiches and a breakfast menu. I noticed they also cater for events and parties. The coffee was great and I enjoyed the flavor and the texture of the guava pastries. They have sitting outside and they provide sanitizer for customers at the entrance. Service was very friendly, the lady who helped us was very welcoming and nice. Overall nice experience.

During live performances, one waitress would get up on stage and play instruments and at other times bartenders would join in. I was truly smiling from ear to ear all night. I drank delicious mojitos all night and even with a packed venue the drinks came out extremely fast! Although the restaurant was packed, our waitress remained extremely kind and attentive throughout the night. To me, the food was just good. We had the Jamón Serrano Croquetas to start. They were a little cold for my taste and not the best I've ever had but they weren't bad. My husband really loved his skirt steak ropa vieja and didn't leave a single grain of rice. I opted for the rabo encendido pasta. I like that they weren't skimpy on the rabo. The downside of this place is that to maximize space, you're packed in like sardines. The tables are basically on top of each other. A larger sized person would not fit getting in and out of their seat and my husband was constantly backing up into the people seated behind him. Overall, this is a place you definitely visit for the atmosphere above food. I will 100% be coming back for drinks, appetizers and more live music. It is an incredible spot especially for those looking for Cuban nostalgia.

We started with the goat cheese croquettes, which were delicious! The marmalade went well, and the pickles onions and jalapeños cut the richness and were a nice complement. I don't even usually like plantains, and the Maduros were delicious! Oh! And the Passion lemonade was SO GOOD!! Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Regardless when we arrived they sat us outside which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was nice at first. Explained all the popular dishes got our drinks out very quickly. I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.

The Ocean Drive location does it right: great service, very friendly and fast, food that was amazing across the board. Loved my first taste of a traditional, genuine Cuban sandwich, ham, roast pork, Swiss, pickles, mustard, all pressed together and served with a mountain of shoestring fries, as close to the source as I could ask for stateside. Ordered a rum and coke and they hand it to you in a genuinely giant glass, perfect for getting the party started, even though it was a random Monday afternoon.
