Good food. Specially the roasted duck! I don't expected we can found the roasted duck in London after reading so many reviews! But very lucky, the first restaurant we tried has the very good and tasty roasted duck! The rest of the items we ordered are very good too. Some Dim Sums, some Noodles, and more meats and veggies. The services are little about the Chinese restaurants average. We are happy with the service! The waitress who take care our table at the 3rd floor was very attentive!

Arrived here after walking up and down Chinatown. Located towards the back and not standing out. The restaurant is on the smaller side but was quaint and comfy. The Bbq in the window looked yummy but we started off with wonton noodle soup and followed with roast pork tofu hot pot and seafood chow mein - Hong Kong Style. The wonton was decent but contained mostly meat no shrimp - but the broth was yummy on a cold day. The other two entrees were solid and tasty and the hot pot included yummy black mushrooms. The seafood chow mein had generous amounts of seafood and the gravy was tasty. Overall the meal was satisfying and the service was solid by our waitress. BTW they accept credit cards too.

Totally baffled...did I go to a different restaurant than the other reviewers? We were exhausted and cold after a long, LONG day of sightseeing, and I was desperately craving a bowl of won ton noodle soup. I had a long list of restaurant recommendations we'd gathered before our trip, but we were too tired to track them down, and were in the middle of Chinatown - seemed like a good time to be spontaneous. I checked Yelp and chose Canton based on the reviews here - alas, somehow I missed the fact that my Yelp friend and London ambassador Yee Gan O. had an Asian food list. I am sure he would have saved us from this utter disaster. We started with some fried potstickers, which were okay - the skins were a bit on the thick side, but the filling was decent, and tasted like it had a bit of fresh ginger in it - not bad. Then our won ton noodle soup arrived. My husband and I each took a bite of won ton, and simultaneously and without saying anything to one another, both of us tried to politely remove the bites from our mouths and began to examine them. The meat inside was clearly undercooked, to the point of being both pink and mealy in texture. I waved over a waiter and told him I thought the pork was undercooked, pointing to my pink, mealy won ton innards. He said, "It's supposed to look that way. It's pork." And walked away. We were starving, so we ate the noodles and sipped some of the broth (which was itself sadly lacking in flavor), but left all of our won ton behind. Another waiter came by and asked if everything was okay - when I told him our won ton were undercooked, he said he'd remove one from our bill. He didn't. We were only visiting London, so we'll never have occasion to come here again, but I wanted to write this review so that others might avoid making the same mistake. There are way too many fantastic restaurants in London to waste a meal or your money here.

Oh man, terrible. Ok, this is a 2.5 star. Yelp, I think it's about time you allow people to do half stars. Anyway, I protested like hell not to eat here, but my parents seek Chinese food wherever they go, so we ate here. NOT a good idea. Food was exceeding bland, although cheap (around 5 pounds for a large helping). My black bean beef chow fun perked up with a little bit of hot sauce, but the house special noodles (both dry and soup) were not good. Neither was my sister's BBQ pork noodle soup. Meat was tough, didn't seem fresh. Stay away. Also, don't order the BBQ duck. Let this be a lesson to all: Chinese food is not resistant to bad cooking.

Bog-standard Chinese food; traditional and economic this restaurant is good if you have a craving for Chinese food one day but don't want to spend too much and are not too bothered by old plates, old chopsticks, old furniture and somewhat poor service.

Food wise, I wouldn't it is the best Chinese I have ever been to but it's very good food and worth going if you want upscale Chinese without the crazyness of central London/Chinatown. We shared for starters the spicy sechuan aurbergine (a must order), mushroom buns (as nice as the ones from aWong) deep fried green beans (also a must) and the crispy duck ( Im never a fan but aWong and Kym's probably have the best ones and amazing plum sauce) For mains we tried the three treasure (soya chicken, iberico pork char sui and crispy pork). I think my favourite was the crispy pork. Its a good way of tasting all the rotisserie but if you are super hungry I would recommend ordering 2 of the rotisserie separetely. As for desserts, we tried the Pineapple bun and the cherry ice cream both lovely. Awong is definitly the king of custard. although I think the custard bun from aWong just beat everything lolol.

Victoria set the stage and steered me to a sampling that did not disappoint. Egg roll - not your typical egg roll, enshrined in a crispy rice shell, lightly fried to perfection, accompanied by a tangy sweet dipping delight. Followed by the mushroom steamed buns, and capped off by the most spectacular pork and shrimp boa boa, perfectly spicy, fully satisfying, a work of art. The service was spectacular and matched the experience. Make this a stop on your foodie tour of London.

It is an unassuming little Chinese take away place squashed between a men's barber shop and a second hand watch store and until I stopped in front of it by chance, I thought the barber shop and watch shop were direct neighbours! When I walked in I instantly thought of 2 films: 'Big Trouble in Little China' and 'Blade Runner'. Why? Honestly, I couldn't put my finger on it but I think it was because this is a tiny, teeny, place that looks family run and authentic. Not sure what I'm babbling on about here, I'll just get to the food... They have a lunch menu that is just £6, for which you get a starter and a main course with your choice of boiled or egg fried rice or noodles. The food is cooked freshly in front of you, is quite copious and tastes pretty damn good. I can thoroughly recommend the prawn sesame toast as a starter. Oh, important to mention that they have trouble getting more than 3 customers in the place at a time, be ready for a tight fit while you wait. A good take away lunch spot for those not wanting to settle for a sandwich, crisps and a can of pop - let's face it, that will cost you more than £6 at lunch in this part of town!
