Veggie Chow Fun
Alex M. ..

Almost no Chinese food around here ever since Mr. Yoo's was taken from us but this place is solid! Orange Chicken had a nice sweet flavor but definitely artificial. The chow mein and chow fun were all cooked well and I'm surprised the veggies had a nice bite to them. Might be back when craving that American Chinese.

Orange chicken, pork chops, and chow fun.

I had wishful thinking that maybe this would be a Diamond in the rough kind of restaurant. They had chow fun which so love for this kind of Chinese fast food. I ordered the Pork chop and Orange Chicken. At the end of the day, I didn't taste anything unique and everything was extremely greasy. I say there's way more better options out there to try, but this wouldn't be my first choice for fast Chinese Food.

I gave it a 4 start, but it is more like a 3.7555. Haha. I decided to go with the house special, chow fun. It included three meats: shrimp, beef, and chicken. The portion is great. It is for like 2-3 ppl. The meal was 12.99 plus tax. I came during non peak hours. 130pm. It was not busy. I was first in line. The service was quick. The ambiance is okay. It's a small establishment.

It looks like it use to be a donut shop. Not a lot of seating and they won't let you use the restroom. But I got the pad thia noodles instead of chow main and with it I got BBQ pork which was very tender and full of flavor and the orange chicken which was really good too. It's probably the best in a long time thar I have ever had. I can't find good Chinese food out in Rancho Cucamonga.

It's a little tough to spot, but the takeout from Canton Kitchen will keep you coming back. The friendly staff inside will help you grab your food and get on your way. I appreciate their efficiency. For me, takeout Chinese is all about value and taste - you'll be happy this delivers (it does delivery apparently) on both. The vegetables are fresh, the meat cooked to perfection, and the colors are a delight to behold. Take a chance here, and you'll be glad you did.

The whipped potatoes were to die for I ordered the The Jollof Platter with Fried Catfish. OMG! It was perfect, not greasy, flavorful batter and those rice and beans. She made menu selections based on what she loved most and what she knew I would appreciate. She did NOT MISS. I loved every single thing about this place. The vibe is chill but vibrant, with groovy old school R&B and hip-hop music playing overhead but not so loud that you could not have a conversation. We sat at the bar and interacted with the beautiful and friendly bartender and servers and folks from the kitchen. We ordered all of our food at once, but had it come out as it was ready, I enjoyed every exquisite morsel. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. I had to scoot on out of there to make my red-eye flight out of LAX and they accommodated my rush. And despite the inexplicable traffic, I made it there and through to the gate in good time. What a treat and I can't wait to go back! For anyone considering visiting Two Hommes, don't sleep. Get there quick and often.

My son and I sat outside but waited about an hour the hosts were really nice from what I recall and her makeup was super cute and different I recall giving her a compliment about it because it was purple and it was adorable. Anyways back to the food my son ate his pasta so thats safe to say that it's Child Approved since I have such a hard time finding something he loves he's a inner foodie too like me hereditary of course. We had the Caesar Salad which was delicious I would alter how much dressing or salt there was but I'll do that on the side next time. The garlic cheese bread was phenomenal we both loved it. Lastly both pasta's that I recall were perfect and cannot wait to return hopefully with a reservation ahead of time to skip the wait. Limited parking on their lot but there is plenty of street parking. Service was excellent, I never had an empty glass of water and my food was ready within a couple of minutes of ordering. I tried the wings that were on special, I'm normally not a huge buffalo wings fan but these were so good paired with their ranch! I ordered two types of pastas: the limone pasta and the braised beef pasta. The limone pasta reminded me a lot of the Jon & Vinny's pasta but even better for the price. The braised beef pasta was delicious paired with the cheesy garlic bread. Super saucey which I love. Cute indoor seating is available and I believe they also offer outdoor seating when it's busier. I would definitely make the drive again to try some new pastas.

There is sometimes street parking but the availability is rough, it's tough to park, and even one of the meters we ended up at just didn't work. They only charge a $5 cash service charge though, which isn't bad. We were lucky to be seated right away, even in a packed restaurant. The restaurant has a surprisingly modern design, and is comfortable for as small as it is. We were quickly served their signature kimchis and barley rice. The kimchi, particularly the yeolmu (young summer radish) kimchi, has a unique flavor profile well suited to their food. We ordered 2 bowls of their plain kalgooksu, 1 bibim milmyun, and 1 tteokbokki. The food came out fairly quickly. The kalgooksu was as expected the star of the show. The anchovy broth brings a savory complexity that seems impossible for a soup made from just dried fish and a few other ingredients. It even has a rich, almost thick, quality to it that is surprising for a fish broth. Their noodles, the titular kalgooksu, have the signature irregularity and chew of knife cut noodles. I appreciate the vegetables that always come in kalgooksu, like potato, pumpkin, and zucchini, which offer an earthy heartiness to the light soup. My only complaint is that the potato is in huge irregular chunks, and is barely cooked, though I feel like I have had this issue with many of the kalgooksu bowls I've had over the years. The bibim milmyun was solid. I think that I prefer the texture and flavor of naengmyeon buckwheat noodles, but the milmyun, which are made with mostly wheat flour, still provide a satisfying chew. The sauce tasted bright and fresh, especially with a splash of added vinegar. It also came with a small side portion of spicy pork and some rice paper to wrap. The tteokbokki was the one let down of the meal. To be fair, I wasn't expecting much out of tteokbokki at all restaurant like this whose specialty is essentially the opposite. I ordered the tteokbokki as a "safe pick" for a picky eater in the group. It turned out to be a bit mediocre in our opinion, and that friend ended up enjoying their kalgooksu anyways. If you're looking to try this dish, it's definitely one of if not the best I've had in Southern California, so I'd totally recommend it. I'll also warn to steer clear of the Garden Grove restaurant of the same name and specialty. I think it's a disappointing mimicry of this place.

The person at the counter was very helpful while my wife quizzed him on what she should eat. There are several spots for food and drink in the Citizen Public Market with some common seating.
