They have chow fun noodles which is an absolute game changer. The best thing at this place is the chow fun noodles because typically at chinese fast food places you choose either fried rice or lo mein so it's great that they have chow fun. The service is above average. The workers are overly friendly and I see why they must have a lot of repeat customers. Come here for the chow fun noodles. The orange chicken was fine. Since I live a few blocks away, I'm stopping in here more than I should. The food is so good and always fresh. One of my favorites is Egg Foo Yung and they always make it fresh. It seems like I'm the only one who orders it. Orange chicken and teriyaki chicken are my next favorites. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out quickly if they don't have it up front. This is a very simple To Go spot. You come in, order hat you want and you go. There's no tables inside so it's seems likes it's all to go. There was no line when I went, so it was in and out, which I liked. The food was good. I ordered fried rice and it came with soy sauce and their own type of sriracha. Found this spot randomly because I didn't bring lunch to work, and it was surprisingly pretty good. They have combo plates that you can order which are your typical combo plates. You can also order al carte which is very convenient if you are eating with a group of people. I went in to try a meal because my friends had raved about it. As I was looking at the menu to decide what to eat. A MOUSE ran from the back to the front eating area. A MOUSE RAND FROM THE BACK TO THE FRONT EATING AREA. When I told the lady that they had a visitor she acted as though it was no surprise and called someone from the back. I went here the other day for lunch. For just over $6 i got a large container that was piled high (more like crammed full) w/food and a large eggroll. I ordered half chow mein, which is a lot of veggies, but that's what chow mein is; half fried rice. I chose the orange chicken. Huge portion. I also got BBQ pork. The lady fished out a huge piece of it and grabbed the cleaver. I figured she chop half of it 'cuz it was freakin' HUGE. No, she not only chopped the whole thing, she even grabbed another few small pieces and put those in there too where she could find a small empty space. The eggroll was tasty inside, but the outside which was deepfried dough was rather tough. I just peeled away the casing and ate the well seasoned meat inside. The chow mein was actually refreshing. I enjoyed the large amount of veggies...it made the dish pop for me. The fried rice was "meh". Next time, i'll opt for all chow mein. Now the main attractions. The orange chicken was tasty and fresh w/lots of nice pieces of dark meat chicken. Good stuff. The BBQ pork was fantastic. Fresh and moist. I ate lunch, dinner and lunch the next day out of that container...no kiddin', it's a LOT of food!! It's an amazing value. I will go back for sure next time i'm in or near Inglewood. read more

I have been going to Canton's since I was a little thing. I have met all of the cooks, and the wonderful servers know me by name. And although the are ~fancier options, I have never found another place that meets my oily, comfort food needs. This is definitely a Chinese fast food, so do not expect a spectacular box of intricate, unknown Chinese food items. Do expect a family-owned restaurant with overflowing take-out boxes and friendly service. Side-Note: I would order something made to order. OK... I will admit, this store is not located in the best appearing area of town, but maybe that is why they can charge just a bit over $5 for about 5 pounds of food. My husband and I just moved into the area and I was craving some bomb ass Chinese food. Originally, I wanted wor wonton soup, but decided not to be a fat ass and ordered the egg flower soup, two veggie egg rolls and a side of fried rice. They have a ten dollar minimum for credit, so I threw in two cans of soda and a pack of almond cookies. I have to say the food is very tasty and easy to eat. Pretty Good Food...OUTSTANDING value. I was one who discovered this place by driving by it lots of times, and one day deciding to try it. I am glad I did! The food, is fairly good. It is, kind of sort of "Cantonese" take out. If you are expecting chef prepared dishes like Peking, or whanot, this is the wrong place. It's a combo place, you know you get rice and chow mein and pick your items. For this type of restaurant the food is good. What stand out is the VALUE. They give a large portion, and the prices are from like 10 years ago. I am serious, the two item combo (they call it the 'lunch special' i think) is mounds of rice and/or chow mein, and two items of your choice. I usually get the orange chicken, and the fried chicken wings. Portions of both are big. I generally get that, and one of the large egg rolls, and this comes to about $6, and it will feed two people, easily. When you add all this to, its easy to get to (right at Mancester and Inglewood Blvd, with a pretty good sized parking lot), and the staff is always nice, this is why this is now one of my favorite take out places. If you like this kind of food, you must try it. If you want the foo foo sit down restaurant "mandarin" food (and want to pay those prices), then stick with that. My friends called it Pounds of Chinese Food for years (or just Pounds for short), so much that I didn't even know the name for a long time, as they'd do the ordering! So I was driving by today, about to get my car smogged in Inglewood and there it was. So on the way back I stopped to get a couple of combos for me and a friend. Sure enough, just like the old days, we each got a clamshell box full of food for $5. We ate, my son ate, and we've got two servings left. That was the lunch special, if you order a' la carte I think you get the bigger clamshell full of food with each order. Do not "go big" here! So anyhow, I got the Chow Fun noodles, Teriyaki Chicken, and Chicken with Green Beans. and they were all really really good. The Teri was in a thin sauce, marinated, and browned on the grill. The beans were crisp and flavorful, and the Chow fun reminded me of Thai Pad Se Ew, but better. It was all greasy and low-brow, and yummy. Cash only kinda sucks, but for these prices, scrape your drawer for change. read more

I first visited this restaurant last year, and the food was good. Today I ordered the beef broccoli and the pork fried rice. The beef tasted horrible. While opening the pork fried rice, I found a long strand of hair clinging to the lid of the container and submerged into the rice. It was not a pleasant dinner adventure for me. A complete waste of money and time. I also noticed there were markers to help with the practice of social distancing, but the ladies behind the counter were so rushed to take the next order , 6 customers were cramped inside at the same time, ordering, paying and waiting for their food. If you are looking for a local Chinese takeout with warm comfort food for good value, this place gets a 4-5 star rating. Low salt, generous helpings, easy parking, fast fulfillment, clean place. My first time here today. Another hidden gem in Inglewood, I ordered several dishes and the bill came to $33.24 which is pretty good value. House Fried Rice - packed with different meats and shrimp and very delish. Dragon Phoenix - chicken and shrimp with veggies in a mild tangy sauce - gentle taste, good dish. Nothing spectacular. Beef with Boy Choy - the bokchoy was so soft it melted in your mouth. Healthy dish, high marks. War Won Ton Soup - wan ton dumplings were so soft and silky, hard to stop eating. Shrimp, BBQ pork, chicken, cabbage, carrots - very filling and nice. Never felt it was padded with junk. Well made. Free small rice with order. In the back, the cooks are Chinese, not Mexican, so food tastes authentic, not like Pick up Sticks where all the cooks are non-Chinese. Service at front counter was cheerful with gals wearing vintage aprons, cute! Order was ready by the time I got there, and each container was packed to bursting, they do not short change you on food! You get very generous helpings. The one thing that struck me was that there were no shitake type mushrooms in any dish. You know those lovely black large mushrooms that you find in snow peas with black mushroom dishes? Missing from menu. So were the snow peas.
