First time trying this place. My wife and I both ordered General Tso Chicken. Food came out hot and was not too bad. It was. bit spicier than other places I have been. Over good flavor just was not anything special. The dining room was empty except for one other guest and was standard fair for small Chinese restaurants. Service was good, no frills. Took our order, food came out, refilled water and cashed us out. No chit chat but friendly. Would consider again, perhaps something different from the menu. Interesting side note. there was a line on my bill that said other food item. Hand written next to it said tax. However the tax line on the bill was 0. The amount was calculated incorrectly. It makes me wonder if they are trying to avoid sales tax here. read more

The food is very good and the staff is courteous. They have my favorite dish, which is Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Almost all Asian restaurants in Delaware do not offer this dish. I believe that most of their business is done through carry out. read more

Extremely greasy and arguably the worst Chinese I've ever had. First look, it seemed like your typical fast Chinese food place but it's not.

I bowl in Delaware on Tuesday nights and it's a goal to hit a different spot in town every couple weeks for dinner. My friend wanted Chinese. Having no experience with any place in town, I looked on Yelp. I was sad to see that the average for this place is below 3 stars. Google gives it above 4. I suggested that we try here anyway, and I have no regrets! Already at 430p on a Tuesday, there were several patrons. A great sign of good food! The decor is definitely not what you are going for, but it is very much like any other small family style Chinese restaurant. The prices are affordable, but you could tell there was a recent price increase based on the handwritten prices over the old on the menus. ;) Everything costs money, I get it! The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. But, I must tell you--they have THE BEST curry sauce I've ever had! I opted for the Curry Chicken (a la carte), and instead of Chinese veggies, I subbed for broccoli and got steamed rice. Nice portion size, but I could barely stop myself from eating all of it! I ordered their crab Rangoon, too... they were good, but nothing extraordinary. All of our food came out fresh and my friends really enjoyed what they had--Hunan Beef and War Su Gai. Before I moved away 4 years ago I was coming in here periodically since 2005. The food is always fresh, tasty and hot. The owner is always very nice and accommodating. I stopped by for dinner. I ordered the Singapore Noodles dinner. It started with a small bowl of Won Ton Soup and followed by an appetizer plate with a giant prawn, egg roll, and rib. Then came the noodles. I was surprised there was curry in it because it was not listing it on the menu but it was sooooo good! It was a very large serving so I had to take the rest home. According to the owner he has been there for well over 20 years. The place is small and does not have a lot of seating but could use a little bit of an update. This is THE best Chinese food I've ever had... and I've traveled and ate all over the country. My family has been coming here for 20+ years and whenever I come back to town, I always make a Canton stop. The owner is so nice :) Kung Pao is probably my favorite dish. This is our go-to Chinese food takeout. My fiance always gets the sweet and sour chicken and loves it. I like to mix it up. Both the Hunan chicken and beef are great if you like spice. Sometimes I get Wor Su Gui or Moo-goo Gui pan, which are both delicious. Chen is a wonderful man. Lunch prices are inexpensive and they include fried wontons with your meal, which I have always felt is a nice touch. As other reviewers have mentioned, the decor is dated, but if you're concerned about the decor of a Chinese restaurant, go to Molly Woos. If you're concerned about quality food at a reasonable price, go to Canton. To be clear, Molly Woos is very good, but expect to pay 2.5 times the amount for food that is marginally better, if better at all. read more

Thank goodness for Yelp. I'm not sure I'd have ever realized this place was here otherwise! Tucked away in a shopping center and not easily visible from the road, I must have driven by it a hundred times. But, with the heads up from Yelp I finally stopped in. Glad I did. I have a new favorite Chinese place :) The place itself is small and homey, the quintessential hometown Chinese-American restaurant with sauces on the table, a few Chinese decorations on the wall and ceiling, and a polite owner/server who makes you feel welcome. Maybe it's the nostalgic memories it brings back, but I love the whole feel of the place. It's like walking into my favorite Chinese place from my childhood, right down to the dishes of mustard and sweet sauce on the table.... And the food... One of my favorite dishes is lemon chicken. I like to order it at any Chinese place I go at least once as a sort of gauge as to the type of place it is. ...and well, I was quite impressed with the meal I got here. Just like the decor, this is the sort of thick-cut and sliced batter-fried chicken I grew up with and loved. None of those frozen nugget blobs, thank you! The sauce too is just about right - not too sweet, not too sour. Being that I dropped in on a Saturday still during lunch hours, for I think $7 or so I was able to get this as a combo meal, which came with soup, egg roll, and wontons. Awesome! The soup was not perhaps the best I've had, but I liked the egg roll. And the wontons were fantastic - curry flavor it seems. So yeah. Definitely my new go-to place for Chinese. It might be nostalgia goggles influencing me in part, but it is hard to argue against good food and service at low prices. read more

I love Asian curry, I must admit the curry here is not the best I've ever had but it is the best I've had in Ohio. I tried the chicken curry and felt compelled to inhale the whole plate. I also enjoyed the hot and sour soup. The fried wantons that came with the meal were meh but didn't detract from the experience. Canton's is just ok. My husband's sprite came with food floating around in it which made me hesitant to drink my lemonade. We ordered the crab Rangoon appetizer. There was hardly any crab in them. Although you get 4 for $3.50 I was disappointed. What a rip off. I told our waitress about it and she gave me some lame excuse. I told her we weren't satisfied but misled. Thought we were getting crab. She said she would tell the manager but she didn't we told him as we paid. He just said ok and took our money. The restaurant has been there for several years. I wasn't comfortable with the service at all. I felt they didn't care if we enjoyed the food or not they just wanted us to pay for it. Horrible service. I ordered the Wor Su Gui and it was pretty good. You just don't get enough rice for the amount of entree they give you. My husband was satisfied with his sweet and sour chicken but ran out of rice. . There are few ways in which to mess up Chinese food but I must say the seseme chicken was one such fail. I got the seseme chicken platter lunch version @ 2pm Saturday. The wonton soup left much to be desired as did the egg roll. Back to the chicken...it tasted as though it had been left over from the night before's fried batch.I guess you could say that I was not impressed at all. This use to be a great place for food. Last night we ordered general Tao Chicken and sweet and sour chicken dinners. This is what we usually order. When we picked it up the bill was over $30 when it was usually around $24. So we figured prices go up. When we went to eat we couldn't even get a bite down. The Chicken was Terrible. This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant, and really the only the Chinese food restaurant I eat at. I have been coming here with my family for the last 25+ years and I LOVE the hot and sour soup! That being said, I should add that I do not really care for Chinese food in general. I think that reason that I am such a fan of this place is that I have many memories over the years of coming here with grandparents other various family members. I can't even give this place a rating because it was that bad. I did a pick up order and was super excited to try a new place. I got home and my crab Rangoon barely had any filling in it. I ordered orange chicken and my friend ordered general tso. My orange chicken was not orange chicken and it was very salty. The general tso's chicken was not spicy and did not taste like what it was suppose to. I called and spoke with the owner and he told me it was suppose to taste that way and he was rude. I asked if I could get a credit or if I came in next time that I could get the same thing. He told me no that I have to come in tonight to get it remade which they closed in ten minutes at that time. I never got my money back or food reordered. I would not recommend this place at all. I will say the white rice was about all that taste good. read more

I've eaten here for many years and liked everything I ate. A new Chinese store came to Delaware, Ohio (up on Houk Road for those of you who know the area) and I tried it. Never again will I go to the Houk Rd Chinese restaurant. At Canton the meat is always tender, the sauces are great and you get good portions...although you might have to ask for a little more rice. This is the only place I get chinese! The egg rolls are fantastic and the general tso's is so good. The lo mein noodles as a side is my daughter's favorite.
