There are a lot of benches outside for the line so odds are you can sit down while waiting. After seeing how large the line grew, I'm glad we decided to wait in line early. Interior has several tables, with plenty of self serve aspects with a soda fountain, pickles/onions/etc on hand if you need some, and to-go boxes/bags if you ended up with leftovers. Best of all, big rolls of paper towels on every table for digging into the BBQ. As for the food, the brisket was great. Smoky and flavorful and had superb texture. The dino rib was pretty good but not as stellar as the brisket. The sausage was alright and my friend and I agreed that the sausage was what was going into the leftover box for sure. The mac and cheese was a great addition, while the cornbread was a tad too sweet but still rounded out the meat well. If you're in the area and want some BBQ, the brisket here is the star of the show. It's a long line so be prepared for a wait before you get your food.

The prices were a little bit on the higher side considering that Ruidoso average salary is on the lower side, but it's still kind of affordable. Parking was also easy. However, the 2nd time I went here which was just a week ago, I ordered pretty much the same thing that I got the last time, but a lot of things has changed. The menu has increased 2 dollars per item, considering I visited just last 6 months ago, that is a heft increase. The meat also was not as juicy or seasoned anymore. The service was still great but the food has changed and I think that quality control is something that needs to be prioritized. The meat was very moist and had an awesome flavor they really didn't require sauce unless that's your thing. The portions were plentiful and the service excellent. Normally a brisket plate is sliced brisket w 2 sides plus bread and pickles & onions, not what we were served. They gave us chopped up meat covered in bbq sauce w potato salad and beans that tasted like they came from Walmart or other prepackaged container of sides. The meat was barely warm and it did not taste freshly smoked and it was covered in sauce that was so sweet and reminded me of bottled sauce. Now I know why there is never anyone there and locals don't mention it when talking about food trucks in the area. Will not try again. It is sad bc they have a fantastic location right there between a dispensary & bar on the hwy by Ski Run.
