All the food looked good so I had a hard time deciding on what to go with. The meat portions were a bit light but I somewhat expected as most BBQ places go by weight. Brisket & Carnitas were good. The bbq sauce was a good balance. Mustard greens were decent. Mac & Cheese was bland. I gave it salt & pepper, but I didn't finish. Similar to the jalapeño muffins, incorporating jalapeños would definitely bring some flavor to the mac & cheese dish. Friendly service and I like the plush seating inside as they have TV's all around so you feel like your home. Lots of signage with specials and add on's. I didn't see the Rib one until afterwards (Add up to 3 Spare Ribs to a combo meal or Lunch special for $2/each). They have a sandwich lunch combo & a few more that fit any budget. Place was a ghost town at lunch, but I have passed by this place fir tears, so someone is eating here at some point. The $6.99 lunch special got me a chopped beef/brisket with a tiny chips and drink. BEST BBQ IVE EVER HAD IN AZ, I've lived in Phoenix my whole life and nothing comes close to how good the meat and sides were at this place. Brisket was melt in your mouth good, ribs were nice and tender and the pulled pork was basic but still tasty with the regular and spicy bbq sauce. When you walk inside it's a cute campy vibe with painted footprints toward the food, you order, they give you your tray you pay and then sit down. The gentleman who served us food was so sweet and had great recommendations. The cashier was also so sweet and so pretty she looked like a Barbie. If you love bbq and friendly people come eat here. What stood out & was so surprising was the fact that you are served your meal by a robot named Mickey! This totally reminded me of the robot in the movie, "Flight of the Navigator." It seemed so futuristic at that time that I didn't imagine any such technology would ever be developed in my lifetime when I first saw that movie back in the 80s. How far we have come is truly incredible. The gal at the front counter who took our order was so sweet. We came back at the end of lunch to order a cookie for one of my kids, and she could have just grabbed it and handed it to me. However, since she understood my children's fascination with the robot, she had Mickey bring the cookie to our table. SO COOL! Thanks for a fantastically memorable lunch. Can't Stop Smokin has always been our favorite BBQ place but things did change with Covid in the way they served it. We tried it again. They still have the line up front that one person takes your order and then you're seated. We hated that and loved the way it was when we took a tray. The way it is now is so very slow, slow, slow. The brisket is still the best ever but the way you have to order has kind of put a damp in visiting the place. It was so much friendlier and the people were friendlier in the past. However for it being as early as it was everything was well prepared. Interior is what caught my eye. If your in to looking at the decor and admiring the woodwork then this is your place. Our first time here as I've driven past plenty of times but never stopped to eat. The front cashier lady was nice and explained that the process is that you order first, then find a seat and that they will bring your food out to you when it's ready. The location is perfect as it's near the freeway. The food was ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. The ribs are not tender and tasted old as if they were just warmed up after being in a container and didn't taste fresh but the sauce made it taste better. The beans tasted like pork n beans from a can, and the potato salad, although looks strange was not bad. The pink lemonade was watered down so if you go, taste it first as you might want to consider getting the regular lemonade which was 100% better tasting. The guy had a 2 meat combo, (no pork) and found it "ok" as well. The food wasn't nasty but it wasn't fantastic either! We'd probably go again if it were an invitation offered but not when we're in search of bbq. It's cute inside but there's a front window that looks shattered as if a rock possibly hit it and was going to cave in at any moment.
