Ruby Sunshine ended up being one of those brunch spots that was worth planning around…read more We visited while spending the day on Franklin's square, and the wait list was about an hour. Normally that's enough to make me reconsider brunch, but after eating here, I'd happily do it again. We were seated outside on an incredibly hot day, and our server--lovingly known as "Slacker"--absolutely earned a shoutout. He somehow managed to keep our table of indecisive food-sharers organized, never let our water glasses get empty, and made the whole experience feel relaxed instead of rushed. The only disappointment? They had already run out of gravy, which meant no biscuits and gravy for us. (My heart still hasn't fully recovered.) Instead, we leaned into sharing everything else. The fried green tomatoes absolutely lived up to the hype, the OG Bennie was fantastic, the avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and because apparently self-control wasn't invited to brunch, we finished with the white chocolate bread pudding pancakes for "dessert." No regrets. Great food, fantastic service, and a perfect stop while exploring downtown Franklin. Just do yourself one favor... Get there early if biscuits and gravy are calling your name.

There are lots of places here for breakfast and all good and all menus a little different from each other. Ruby Sunshine is located in the roundabout on Main Street in an elegant building with an upscale feel. Picking up on the Nashville Country vibe, you'll find a wall of red Cowboy boots; but all are right-footed! The service is friendly and attentive, your coffee won't go cold, and you won't go thirsty either. We had the Southern breakfast and the friend green tomatoes Betty (benedic). what is interesting about this place is, although a chain, everything is home cooked and tastes like it too--biscuits, grits, gravies, sauces! Enjoy!

Some cute areas for photos like the red boot wall. I came back with customers a bit later and they enjoyed the biscuits and I learned there is actually a jalepeno-cheddar, daily or traditional biscuit. Make sure you get one you like. Strawberry cloud latte was also good.

Parking behind the restaurant is free if you validate and the code is on the hostess stand. We were sat quickly and started with waters and beignets. I had a colada of some sort, it had beet juice in it and was earthy but refreshing. The beignets were the best! Hot and crispy, sweet and fluffy. I really loved the grilled cheese that had jalapeños, caramelized onion and some stewed pork. It was so savory and sweet in some bites while zesty and spicy when I'd get a jalapeño. It was perfection on the crusty buttery bread. My husband enjoyed his trio of egg Benedict, each one was fantastic in its own way. He really loved the fried green tomato. I will definitely be back and recommend this for anyone in the area. It's a lovely area as well.

We asked for recommendations and boy did we get it, we got a plain biscuit with the most delicious jam. Flakey, fluffy and layered so it's a good size. We order the Southern Benny with chronic bacon on top (best recommendation by the staff) instead of ham and a poached eggs. The gravy was phenomenal and flavorful and it's a plate lickin meal. Grab a Waffle and Berries if you want a little sweet but together you could share it all, which is what we did. I couldn't have picked a better place to try on the first day in Franklin. The staff was so sweet and the restaurant even had a coffee bar, upset I didn't order coffee but always next time!! Cute outside patio and the most adorable bathroom... Who doesn't love Dolly

The dining room felt like an extended family breakfast. The staff was amazingly attentive and were great stewards of their crash. Even down to those who were tidying up the tables, allowing for the next guest to sit down. There's a high level of detail even down to someone forgetting a thermos an hour after they had left the restaurant. My only complaint is that there's not one in South Carolina however, I'll get over it and that just simply means I need to come visit Nashville more often.
