Ok if I have to spill the tea I supposed I will start off saying that I have an irrational addiction to the apple strudels here. One of their regular customers told me that their apple pies were out of this world when I first visited this place. She also said that it runs out fast so come early if I want a piece of that pie. The rumor is true, I can never get my hands on the apple pie so I said "screw it, I'm going for the apple strudels" Boy oh boy I can eat 10 of those in one sitting (hence why i don't have a photo of it... I inhaled it so fast) The flakes is incredibly crispy and light, filling is just the right amount of sweetness. I had to cut myself off of this one cause it's too dangerous. Anywayssss I've visited this place about 6 times now and today was my LUCKY DAY. One last apple pie sitting pretty waiting for me when I walked through the door. And opening the box felt like Christmas came early :"). Also, Sfogliatelle is another favorite of mine. Crispy layers of puff pastry wrapped around some nice ricotta cream filling MMmm MHMMMM MMMmmm you just got to try it. It's not too sweet but more fun than just a cream puff I'd say. Anyways I just want to highlight my favorites here but they have soooo many great selections so GO OFF & treat yourself to some goodies at Fratelli. P.S. the staffs here are so super sweet & kind. The 0.5 docked from 4 stars would be because I was severely underwhelmed by the hot chocolate, not only it was scalding hot when I got it but it wasn't super rich or flavourful (a bit watered down to me). However, I would come back to try more pastries! I've had their cannolis previously and enjoyed them but this time, the limoncello puff blew me away! There was a spectacular amount of cream inside and it had a rich tartness unlike a regular lemon pastry (what I can assume is what limoncello tastes like despite having never had it before). The Ispahan is a traditional french dessert that combines the flavors of rose, raspberry and lychee. Isn't this cake gorgeous? It was a real treat to eat too! I loved the combination of flavors in this Rose de Macaron. The big chunks of canned lychee were my favourite part of the cake. Huge fan of lychee! In fact, I would have loved to have seen just a few more lychees in it. It was still a good amount, but I just love the fruit so much. Can't get enough of it!

This is my second time coming to Vancouver and I wanted to try this bakery ever since. Today was the World Cup so we decided to walk outside of downtown and see where our feet landed us. I'm so glad I got to have an afternoon cup of Earl Grey with a pastry. I got the mango passionfruit donut and it was excellent. My brother got the mac & cheese and said it was sweet. That's not something he is used to. I don't need me because there was bacon in it I didn't get to try it. He also ordered a sandwich to go. He ate the sausage rolls that I thought was a pastry. He said it was good. The seat inside is pretty squishy and the bakery itself is pretty busy. There are a few seats outside. I don't feel like this is a place you sit and do your school work. The tables are small which might be intentional to eat your pastry and leave. We came around 3:15 PM and it was pretty busy. I will definitely be returning to one of these places when I'm back in Vancouver, not neccesarily this location. All of the bakeries seem to serve the same items which makes it consistent.

After ordering the Too Good to Go bag, I was offered a 20% discount on purchase of $40 +. Decided to make use of that right away. So in addition to the few goods I got from my Too Good to Go package, I also picked up a lovely, big box of fresh pastries. I chose 2 Apple Danishes, a Cinnamon Roll, 2 Raisin Rolls, and a Caramel Almond Croissant. The pastries are so gorgeous here. Just to set my eyes upon the bakes goods...it feels like a feast already. More fun of course when I get to actually sinking my teeth into the goods! The guy who was serving me was very kind and helpful. He was willing to give me 20% off my order, even if I didn't quite make it to $40. Just for that though, I decided I would make it to $40 as I really appreciated his kindness. With the discount, the final number was around $39 for the box of fresh pastries. My mom was so delighted when she saw the beautiful box of pastries and said that we "must" go back again sometime!

To compensate for the long wait, the person making my drink upgraded my small size drink to a large size free of charge. Well, good that they were at least aware of the fact that I had waited a ridiculously long time and tried to compensate for it. They get points for service. I did very much enjoy my croissant sandwich. It was nice and flaky with lots of flavor in it. Kinda wish it had been a bit larger. No complaints about the value.
