Visited this place for a Sunday Brunch with a girlfriend! Not sure how they obtained five star review! All 4 of Item on the drink menu that we requested were not available. (Mimosa, Italian lemonade,Champange & Prosecco , ). The waitress was a smart mouth. After our 4th request for drinks I mentioned they need to update the menu. She informed me the menu was current except for the 4 items we attempted to order!! ruined our brunch for sure. We were so annoyed about our 90 min drive to meet and catch up then no cocktails to ease our driving pains! The rest of our brunch was horrible we drank water with a twist of lemon! ( we never got our lemon twist). Had the water when we were ready to leave!The waitress picked up her attempts to check on us after we told her we were extremely unhappy!!We shared small pizza that was good not great! 5/5 for the seriously delicious pasta, but 1/5 for very inaccurate online ordering wait times. I've ordered from Cannataro's three times now and my food was on time only 1/3 of those times. The first time, I waited an additional 10 min. The server that day was super nice and offered a free drink. The second time, I waited an additional 30 min. Both times, the online ordering system said it would take 40 min. and this was for weekdays. I understand they're understaffed at this point, but it'd be helpful if they updated the online wait time to reflect that. However, I will say the food is delicious and is what keeps me coming back. It's also affordable. The linguini pescatore is a must-try. They also have various deals throughout the week. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in the IE! Authentic affordable Italian recipes! The place is small and you have to wait but worth every minute. The ambiance is family oriented and cozy. Nothing fancy! Very laid back. Their service is always outstanding no matter how crowded it is. Their waiters are helpful and provide input on dishes. You can't go wrong with their soups or salads. Those alone are delicious! Now imagine their Maine dishes! We have tried several dishes from pizza, pasta, salad and soups! This place is a must go to try! Yum! Hubster and I just got home from having dinner here. This was our first time eating here and I am so glad we came in. Food: Hubster had the steak arrabbiata and I had the roasted salmon with shrimp ravioli. We had ordered the stuffed mushrooms appetizer which came out after our food (things happen, no big deal). Tonight was our first visit and we were very pleased. The wait was not long at all for a Saturday night. I ordered the veal Parmesan and my wife ordered the spaghetti Bolognese. She said her meal was very tasty. My veal was delicious and I was surprised at how large the portion was. I also enjoyed the wedding soup. The garlic bread arrived to our table Piping hot. I have yet to be disappointed by an in house dining experience here, however catering has left me upset twice now. They have put meat in items that were specifically ordered without meat, making it very disappointing as a vegetarian. The food was okay. Nothing I would want to come back again for. The eggplant sandwich didn't have much eggplant in it. The mozzarella sticks were mostly fried batter and very little mozzarella. Service was so slow. It took over 30 min to just get appetizers and another 15 to get food. Our waitress was never around. We always had to ask another waiter to get her. We needed food for our New Year's Eve party and decided on Italian. I searched for local Italian places rather than going to Olive Garden and Cannataro's came up and I saw good reviews on Yelp. I ordered two family packs, one chicken alfredo and one spaghetti with meatballs and sausage as well as lasagna. I ordered and paid online and designated my pick up time. Everything was so easy and convenient. Once we got there it was packed (good sign of good food) and my food was ready. We were all so happy with the food! It was a great choice. The bread was delicious, the salad was good and the main dishes were even better. Everything had such good flavor and enough sauce. I stopped in here for a very late lunch with a friend who was visiting me in the area and loves Italian food. She did a quick google search and found this restaurant. I was skeptical to try, but we stopped in and decided to give it a go at around 4 pm. By the time we were done dining, the place was packed with the dinner rush. This is a family owned somewhat dated but clean somewhat old school style Italian restaurant We ordered a: Baked Penne 3.5 stars House Specialty with ricotta, penne, meat sauce, mozzarella. Mozzarella looked waxy when melted, taste was OK and two side salads-blue cheese and Italian dressings on the salty side. The garlic bread was good, Penne was OK, did not love the cheese on the Penne but it satisfied the hunger pangs. Not sure if I would be back...maybe. read more

I'm between a 3 and a 3.5 for this restaurant. Its got a cozy interior and parking doesn't seem to be an issue as they share a parking lot with a bunch of businesses and the lot is never completely full. They can get busy Friday nights but still try to seat you pretty quickly. You may get a table thats literally next to the waiting area so when you sit down you're kind of still in the waiting area- just seated now and able to order and eat. Lol Never got a very friendly waitress. They're not rude but don't seem very genuine either. Thats probably why I gave it the 3 instead of rounding up as I usually do when I'm in the middle. Most importantly lets talk about food. All the entrees seem to come with a free soup and they are very yummy. The wedding soup has little meatballs and chicken and veggies in it. It has a clear broth that has a good flavor. If you like the thicker soup with deeper flavor minestrone is your best bet. The meal also comes with complimentary garlic butter bread. Its okay nothing to die for but its complimentary which is nice. Linguini with clams is very yummy. I also liked the chicken parm in the sampler entree very much. The lasagna was pretty decent but I replaced the fettuccine alfredo with spaghetti and it was kind of tasteless. Veal parm was no good. Meat was very chewy or elasticy. Shrimp Scampi was okay but the shrimp should have been cooked a little longer to take in more flavor and not be so hard. The dish was bland overall. Since there are limited pickings for good Italian restaurants in the Chino Hills/Chino area, I will probably go back. There are still a bunch of dishes I want to try. Food is hit or miss and I will be sure to update. read more

A cute little old fashioned Italian restaurant. It was super packed on a Saturday evening the crowd just kept flowing. Good thing I just ordered a few appetizers to go. The mozzerella stick were a little hard but would proudly be better if eaten there. Came to this restaurant recently to celebrate my dads birthday. We are local to this place and we were in the mood for some Italian food. I really like how cozy this place feels. If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would! I took my bf's parents here for dinner and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal (mind you we were in Italy for a few weeks for vacation a few months ago). The sauce was so rich and the ravioli was stuffed with a perfect amount of stuffing. The texture of the actual pasta was perfect as well...I'm drooling just thinking about it. Their lasagna was a solid 4.5/5 according to the bf's dad.... Lastly, we had tiramisu which was yummy...4/5. But I'd like to point out the cake itself had a wet spongy texture like Mexican Tres leche cake. And it had lots of light whipped cream-like substance. I personally like thick mouse texture for tiramisu...still good though. Oh, and we tried the creme brûlée...5/5.
