Safety is extremely important to me, and I practice shooting for self defense, not to put myself at risk. That's one of the biggest reasons I'll definitely be returning to Insight. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Patrick, who was friendly, welcoming, and professional. He quickly went over the range rules and made the whole check in process simple. I brought my own 9mm full metal jacket ammunition, and Patrick asked to take a quick look at it to make sure it met their safety standards and range requirements. The inspection was quick and only took a moment. They do hold onto your ID while you're shooting, similar to how a bar holds a card for a tab. This allows you to make any additional purchases such as ammo, targets, or firearm rentals during your visit. Payment is handled when you're finished shooting, and that's also when you get your ID back. You'll also sign and date a waiver sheet before being assigned a lane. The range itself is very clean, organized, and well maintained. There are comfortable benches available if you're waiting for a lane or just want to take a break. Each shooting lane is separated by protective side panels, which helps create a safer and more comfortable experience. The booths are spacious and provide plenty of room for your gear, ammunition, and personal belongings. The target system is straightforward and easy to use. You simply attach your target and use the controls to send it downrange or bring it back when needed. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the facility, customer service, and overall atmosphere. While I was there, I ran into a few local shooters who spoke highly of the range, which only reinforced my impression that this is the spot. It's also conveniently close to where I live, making it an easy choice for future range visits. That was awesome, because it got me on the range sooner. I also brought with me a new firearm - Canik Mete MC9LS with a new optic. I forgot my regular range bag with my tools; however, the range staff allowed me to use one of their tools to adjust my new optic. I don't know how the targets move on the regular range, but on the tactical range, you can push buttons to automatically set the targets at a specified distance, move the targets manually back and forth, and automatically have the target return. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable. $20 per lane and $0.50 targets - WAAAAAY better than prices in the Bay Area. If I were a resident of the area, I'd definitely become a member. (I overheard one of the staff members informing another customer of the benefits and price.). Top Notch outfit in my opinion.
