This review is for the kitchen! The folks in the kitchen are the real stars here, hands down! (If this review was based 100% on the kitchen I would have given 5 stars). We had gone to the Carrollton location where the service was incredible but the food was plated normally. This location is the exact opposite, the plating and attention to detail from the chefs and everyone in the kitchen was 5 star while the service was normal (not outstanding or anything to write home about). My call out for future improvements on service: you can easily upsell as a server by just asking your table if they want another drink or dessert or whatever instead of bringing a table their check. read more

We have gone several times. The location is ideal to let your kids run around and relax. They have a nice patio area. The service is so-so. They are kind of slow to get your food out, but that is not my biggest issue. The food is blase, but the prices attached to them are outrageous. This on top of the drink prices is high way robbery. 5 month old location opened near doctor's office, I couldn't pass up a chance to check it out. Great setting just west of Hillcrest facing south to Arapaho. As soon as I walked in the door, the familiar aroma of Cane Rosso welcomed me back. Nice greeting by the bartender and comfortable seating. Bartender/Hostess/ Manager was very pleasant and she checked on me several times to make sure my experience was perfect. My server Hayden said he was new but knew the menu very well. Offering great suggestions. After a quick scan of the menu for anything new and different from our other favorite locations, I chose the Barrel Aged Old Fashioned and STRAIGHT FIRE Pizza w/Calabrian chile béchamel, hot soppressata, jalapeños, mushrooms, housemade mozzarella. WOW! absolutely delicious, nice crunch left in the fresh Jalapeños, not too hot, a great flavor combination. As my experience winded down, I knew they offered the Tiramisu Brick dessert and had to get it to go. Definitely worth the wait relaxing at home. What used to be a great burrata plate turned out to be not so great. Gone was that wonderful warm sesame bread instead a cold, hard sesame bread and tough burrata. 4/4 GOOD. We get the honey bastard and the meat lovers version of their pizza. They also have an amazing fried dough which sometimes is a hit or miss since sometimes it's nice and fluffy, and other times it's not. The staff is cool and hip, and they have an assortment of drinks including my favorite which is the Frozé. Ambiance is great because there is a giant pizza oven that is out in the open for everyone to see. What a blessing it is I have a business that you open a new location for and you are slammed busy from day one! Such is the case for the owners of this establishment. I have been trying to come to this place for over a week since they open and there has been up to an hour and a half weight every time I have come. Finally mid afternoon on Sunday I was able to get in. Every location I have ever been to has great service. This one was not an exception to that. But the weak Link in the experience for me on Sunday who were the hosts as I walked in. They seemed a little stressed and honestly I kind of felt like in their minds they were thinking oh man not another person. It's hard to explain but it was a less than welcome feeling. Other than that my experience was great. We were seated and greeted by our waiter and the experience torque on a completely different feel. We first ordered the cheese nugs and they were pretty decent. We also ordered a variety of pizzas including the Johnny Utah and a margarita pizza as well as a pepperoni pizza. All three were delicious. My only very mild dissatisfaction was the placement of the basil on the Margherita pizza. By the time we left it seemed that the greeters have found themselves and we're in a much better mood. Or maybe they were just happy to see us leave LOL! read more

Love the new location, the outdoor space should be amazing in the spring and fall. They're just getting going but we already had great service with excellently prepared pizza. Everytime I go into a Neapolitan pizza place, my instinct is to start with a pizza with toppings, but we start by splitting a margarita pizza and are always glad we did. Such a simple pizza with balanced flavors really shows off how well the pizzas are executed. For round 2, this time, we split a honey bastard. 10/10 recommend sitting at the bar with the bartender Josh. He heard me say I was debating which wine to pair with the Honey Bastard and he recommended the Pinot Noir or Moscato to cut the hot honey. I'm not a sweet wine gal so I went Pinot which paired perfectly. He poured me a little bit of the Moscato anyway and he was right - the perfect chaser to spice. I know this is a pizza joint but since I had already had pizza once this week I went for the chicken parm sandwich. It was so good! Highly recommend this entree! I think our server might have been new. He was very soft-spoken and the restaurant was loud so that was unfortunate. He also did not appear to know the menu well. Lastly, my friend and I got separate checks and it was separated completely wrong. Since the amounts were similar, I just let it go. We got the Edgar dessert pizza. The quality of the food is absolutely great. But the thing that bothers me about this location is there an ability to manage the numbers of people who come to the restaurant and need to address their server behavior. There's no reason to have a huge patio space and then tell people that it's not a service area. There also is no reason to hold parties of 25 or more on Saturdays or Sundays during the middle of the lunch hour basically driving normal customers away. Every time we attempt to go to this location there is absolutely no management of the outside seating and while it is a great location to bring your kids, it seems that people sit and squat at the tables while the kids play outside for far longer than they really need to actually eat. I gave the management credit for finding anyone under 25 who's willing to work, but they have absolutely no understanding of how to manage people coming in the time it takes to turnover tables and how to appropriately address customers so they don't get pissed off and just leave like we did today. Next time we will drive all the way to Frisco and go to a location where the management team seems to have their act together in a more professional manner read more
