    Duplin Carolina Red/white sangria

We've been here now twice and were very satisfied both times! The place has nice intimate setting, the staff is very helpful and the food was excellent. They have a nice little craft beer selection for us non-wine drinkers. My wife likes their white sangria. She had the margarita flatbread and she thought it was a little small for the price but she thought it was very good. I had the burger and it was cooked perfectly and was very tasty! The hot peppers and oil are always on point and the little roasted kale sprouts are delicious! We can't wait to go back and enjoy the patio!

This was my third visit here with the last two being under the new owner. As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked if we had reservations of which we did not. We thought well, we're going to have to wait but this was not the case. She asked how many we had and sat us immediately. Win! We were taken care of by a wonderful young waitress where, although very busy on this Saturday night, we were not disappointed by her level of service. Plus, she was friends with my son in high school so there's that. Now to the menu. That had a pretty good selection of beers on tap and in bottle to include craft beers and of course their wine list was pretty diverse as well. For apps, we chose the calamari which was ginger seasoned and served mixed with banana peppers and a Thai chili sauce. I fond it to be pretty damn tasty and nice touch was that the slices of banana peppers were also breaded liked the calamari itself. Our friends had the peppers in oil which were also damn delicious. For my entrée , I decided on the fish and chips. The fish was blood orange beer battered Cod and perfectly fried. It was accompanied by a creamy Asian slaw and shoestring french fries. All was delicious. My wife decide on the blackened sirloin which was a 6oz. cut from locally sourced Angus served with herb roasted potatoes and seasoned kale sprouts. The steak was perfectly cooked to my wife's preference of medium and was very tender, of course I had a bite. The roasted kale sprouts were new to me and man were they pretty damn tasty as well. This place didn't disappoint and we are looking forward to out next visit. We especially will be going in the summer months as the outdoor seating is very inviting and overlooks what use to be an 18-hole golf course. Great experience and one others should enjoy as well.

Food was overpriced and bland. No flavor at all...my fish was way to overcooked and had not one bit of seasoning inside of it ...the calamari was ok..but had rely on the sauce to hold it together. My girlfriend salad was plentiful...but there were apples and a hair in it also. The staff was really nice though and then scenery was lovely. But the food once again overpriced and no flavor at all....

Red flight with a great friend! A nice way to end the evening!

A fun place with a beautiful outdoor deck that gave us an amazing view of the full moon! Our server was awesome and even though it was close to closing he was attentive and helpful. If you've not experienced Candywood Wine Cellar, you are missing out!

Went there for the first time had made reservations for 4:30 for 10 people! When we got there we had planned to eat outside but weather didn't cooperate! So they sat us inside upstairs . The upstairs wasn't as pleasant as the first floor or as bright but we were all so happy to be out we didn't care. Our waitress was very good . I had a flight of white wines generous pours and each one was very good. I ordered the soft shell crab as an appetizer and was very nice. Then I ordered the salmon over black rice and carrot purée it was excellent. Then we had dessert chocolate cake it was good but very expensive. I've had the same for half the price I won't order dessert again here it's way too expensive t cost almost as much as a hamburger or fish and chips on the menu . Not worth it! But I will go back because the dinners and the atmosphere were great. Service really good! Everyone was very happy with there meals . We all agree dessert way too expensive.

    The blackened cod was perfect!

Service and wait staff are awesome. Food quality not so good. Seems to be a disconnect within.

Thick slices of beets dressed with Gorgonzola (or maybe bleu cheese) slivered toasted almonds over fresh greens. I'm glad I made the cohort get his own. My seafood pasta was phenomenal. Visited here with a larger group on Christmas Eve…read more Chophouse has a fancy vibe. The staff is quite friendly. They had a nice selection of fun holiday beverages that a few of us tried. They ranged from sweet to boozy. It was a nice variety that offered something for everyone. For dinner I tried the crab crusted salmon. It was a good pairing, but the salmon without the crab left something to be desired. The Chophouse offers a vegan/vegetarian menu, but you do have to ask for it. One of the featured items on that menu was the ratatouille. It was fantastic and I would certainly recommend it. For sides I greatly enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was not too fishy, and the whipped Yukons were a delight. Large parties can be a challenge, but regardless I found the service to be a bit inconsistent. Though always friendly, we had to remind our server of items that we had asked for on more than one occasion. Near the end of the meal it seemed that the bussers were pushing for us to wrap things up and get out, despite not having been there for a terribly long time. We were asked multiple times if certain items could be cleared while we were still eating them. They just didn't seem to have a good feel for this. There certainly were some strong dishes and I wouldn't hesitate to go again, though it would be on a special occasion as they are certainly not cheap.

To our surprise the wait staff was very attentive keeping our drinks refilled, they never ran empty, when it came to our appetizer and our food they were always asking how it was, if we needed anything else. the wait staff are amazing and if not for just the food being great we would definitely dine here again. The food was immaculate, we had the deep fried pickles appetizer and I will tell you straight from the heart I've never had fried pickles as delicious as these were, not even Quaker Steak has pickles this delicious. 10/10 We each ordered the Philly cheesesteak, hers with the garlic aoli and mine without, and I have to say we were both surprised at how delicious, savory, and tender the steak was. This is the type of dining experience we have expected but have never gotten to witness. Barrel 33 has really out done themselves. The only problem I had and I'm sure my wife probably had was the Ambiance, the music was great, but the lighting was terrible it was difficult to read the menus and I was almost at the point where I was going to turn on the flashlight on my phone to read what was available but it's nothing to complain about, these old tired eyes just don't see very well anymore and it's not their fault. yes I would have liked a little more light to see, but I get it, the feel they were going for, which makes the overall dining experience enjoyable and pleasant. Thank you Barrel 33 for a great evening out with my babydoll. we will definitely visit again.
