I would not recommend this place to anyone. Andy is very inappropriate and he likes to crack jokes with white customers thinking that it is OK because we are white. I immediately got up in the middle of a pedicure because I could not take the inappropriate jokes anymore, I would not recommend your kids because Andy is extremely inappropriate. The place is very cluttered. The customer service is horrible and he talks the entire time. He has this loud creepy laugh that upsets the atmosphere. Candy is fake. I hate to be this person but I would give zero stars if I could. My friend and I went for a dip manicure and pedicure- we had appointments at 2 and it took TWO hours just to do the half ass dip nail. I specifically asked to get a manicure because my cuticles needed TLC ,after explaining that to Andy (husband of the owner) he told me "yeah I will shave them" literally all he did was shave them. Never filed, shaped or trimmed my nails. Slapped two coats of dip powder on them and called it a day. I've never had a more terrible experience at a salon in my life. We left before they could do our pedicures because we had already been there for two hours and definitely were not going to pay for whatever disaster would be our pedicure. Omg! do not come here! Andy is very inappropriate and his wife candy is overbearing and over the top. She is extremely rude and accused me of not having enough money on my card when I told her to wait for me to unlock my card before running the payment because I travel a lot and I lock my card. She swiped the card. The card declined, and she called her husband immediately and he ran back into the building by the time he got there the payment went through, but it was so embarrassing. then she gave me all of these worthless coupons telling me to come back come back. I will never go back. The work quality is absolutely horrible. My nails are so huge. I beg for them to cut them down and make them smaller, but he refused to. I was told a regular manicure was $45 when they were done they overcharged me instead charging you for the powder and I told them I had a regular gel manicure, which was $45. The music is extremely loud the place is extremely cluttered. If you like loud noise, unprofessional service and services force on you come here! I don't want any of it. inappropriate conversation and overbearing customer service then this is the place to come I do not recommend children there either. I drove all the way from Marianna to Dothan because I had been told to come to this place. It was a Sunday, and I arrived at 4pm and the place closes at 6pm. I got a pedicure, a powder dip for my nails and I got my eyebrows waxed. For the powder dip I paid $45 which is a great price. I got the Candy pedicure and it was divine my feet were so soft afterwards. Anne did my pedicure and she's trained very well and very professional. Candy served me snacks and drinks. Candy's husband did my Dip powder and I noticed that it was the end of the day and it seemed rather rushed. The Candy Pedicure had taken almost an hour and a half. He worked very fast but he seemed to know what he was doing even though he seemed to be squeezing my fingers hard. Afterwards Candy did my eyebrows. I paid - tips included more than $100 and I left happy. I had to work Monday night, By Tuesday; my whole right hands nails had bubbled up and it appeared as if the gel that was used to seal the dip powder was bubbling off. Right after my shift I drove up to Dothan and sat outside waiting for them to open. When they eventually did I explained my situation to Candy. She gladly agreed to fix my nails. This review would be a 5/5 review if it wasn't for..... Initially when Candy's husband did my dip powder he only dipped it twice. He never dipped it the 3 time using the clear powder. He skipped that stepped and merely painted and sealed it under the UV lights. Candy informed me that it bubbled because my nails were "oily". She then merely took her nail grinder and grinded the first dip powder layer off both hands leaving one layer on both hands and she then painted both hands with the UV clear coat and put my hands under the UV lights and sent me on my way. Needless to say... my nails chipped, snagged, broke and cracked within a week. There's a reason why Candy puts on a show... It is all about the experience! And all though a bit of a wait this place is definitely worth the wait. All the staff were so friendly. Candy, Ann, Romeo total gems. From the moment I called and the owner asked my name I was hooked. The guy that answered said "Hi Juliette, I'm Romeo. Come let me play with your hands". All I thought was...YES PLEASE! If only I lived in Alabama this would be my go to place forever. I sat at a very comfortable massage chair and was welcomed with a bowl of candy called the "Candy buffet". I have been going there for about a year. I do not like change. However, I will not return. I always made an appointment. They were always late arriving for my appointments. Andy would leave and go get breakfast and then return. So my nails always soaked for a long time. The last time I went I arrive a few minutes early for my appointment to find Andy was doing a person. I was told I needed to come back. I told them I had an appointment and could not come back. His wife, Candy became very angry and was raging in her language to her husband about me, it was very obvious! She said I could stay finally. I should have left but I needed them done and had no other time. I do not think the solution to soak my nails in was new or clean. I now have a severe fungus under my nail and it is lifting and is very painful. The lady he was doing when I arrived had a severe issue with all her nails lifting due to her job. I think he put my hands in the same solution and that is why I have this problem now. I also have a fungus on another nail but it is not serious. I have never had any kind of fungus before. I have never been treated so rudely or disrespectfully. I do not think they are interested in repeat loyal customers that tip well. I have recommended them to people in the past but never again. I know what bad reviews can do to a company so I'd like to make some suggestions on how they can better their business. 1) Do away with spraying cheap perfume on everyone. It's not pleasing. 2) Let the paint dry completely before rushing your customer out. This will prevent them coming back in when they notice it's messed up immediately after walking out. 3) Be careful when trimming nails. Been going to Candy Nails on and off since I moved to Dothan. Had a few bad experiences with polish not lasting but then have had good experiences. I didn't plan on writing a bad review but after how I was treated I figured I needed to. I went in for a full set with regular polish & was pushed into getting gel polish cause he discounted it for me. The paint job was god awful but I had to go to work so I didn't have time to say something. 2 hours into my shift, my nail polish started peeling off and started to chip off onto my work space. I called immediately and told them I wanted a refund and was told they don't do refunds only fix my nails. I waited until the following day to go in and talk to Candy herself. She did not want to give me a refund, but instead wanted to fix my nails & give me a certificate for a free set by somebody other than her husband. When I declined and still insisted a refund Candy & her husband told me I wasn't being nice & that I was ruining their business that was already slowing down. Candy's husband then started pointing to their children's pictures and told me that by asking for a refund I was depriving their children (who are away at college) of food. Candy's husband also told me they wouldn't refund me the whole amount I spent but only the total of the polish. Before I left they made me sit down and cut the tips off of my nails so I couldn't paint them I felt harassed when I left & I will not be going back and I will be sure to let everyone know of my experience. read more

I have spent quite a bit of money at Candy Nails. Anne is my go to and I love her to pieces. I called on Monday and made a reservation for Wednesday with Anne. I arrived at my scheduled time and was told that Andy would do my nails. Reluctantly I agreed and he said I needed a new set so he pulled all the old nails off, OUCH!! Fast forward.... My nails look AWFUL. I did mention this to Anne who was doing my pedicure and she said nothing. I waited two days after my appt to get the nerve up to call and speak with Candy who is the owner. I felt bad complaining. She told me I could come in at 2 that today and Anne would fix them.
