Hello Yelpers! One of the people I follow bragged about candy bar on instagram. I immediate went to their business page to check out the work and services they provided. After what I saw was good, I then proceeded to check them out in person. The location is perfect - they are in a shopping plaza inside of the salon lofts which is very nice and gives you that pampered feeling. When I arrived to their suite it was packed! This is usually a indication that good service is happening or a great promotion. They only take walkins so be either early, prepared to sit/stand, or come back. I came back within an hour and was not serviced until 45 minutes later. So arrived at 1234 left at 230. If that's great time for you - then by all means it's worth it. Met candy herself and she was really sweet and knowledgeable. She also was accommodating since I am pregnant. Now let's get to the 2 stars. 1) The wait time. I'm impatient so there's that. 2) My actual brows. The service I got was a wax and tint. I was not satisfied at all. She did advise the first few times may not be as great as it would be in the future but still. Why should I have to spend $30 for 4-6 visits to see an improvement?? The results looked like a minimum fill in that I could have done a better job with a pencil and actually made even. I really wanted this to work. Maybe in the future, I'd be willing to give them another time or two to redeem themselves. I guess the plus side to it is that I won't have to fill in with my pencil for a week or two lol read more

Thank you God for blessing her hands to fix my eyebrows! Seriously, I've never been so in love with my eyebrows. This will definitely be my go to place. The salon is located in a shopping center on Peachtree Road. Super convenient because it's really close to a lot of shops. The salon is full of other stylists and booths. It's no overcrowded or hectic like most, very clean and classy. Candy's shop is located in booth 14. She has a small waiting area and two chairs for brows. I walked in with no appointment around 4:30 on a Thursday. No wait at all. It looks like she works quickly too because a woman had just walked out and as I was finishing another woman was walking in. You'll be safe without an appointment. I have pretty thick eyebrows. After 3 weeks they start to get crazy. I'm hesitant when trying new eyebrow places simply because women usually love to rip my eyebrows off. NO! Thankfully Candy asked if I wanted to keep them full. I appreciate that so much. I was skeptical because her technique was different and it was taking longer than my usual salons. The wax even felt different & her hand motions felt different but I could tell she was being precise. I don't know what magic she used but my eyebrows came out FLAWLESS. The skin around my brows feels smooth and clean, no irritation. A wax alone was $16.50 with tax. It was definitely worth it. I'll do a follow up review in a few weeks to see how long they lasted. I had a really good experience. I have not gotten my eyebrows waxed in over 10 years and they came out so good. On the website they offer threading but at the location I'm not sure if the person that does it just was not there the day I went or what but that was kind of a disappointment.. I've been coming to the brow bar since the owner was in the booth outside of the uniform store, I would say I visit at least once a month. Candy has used social media to her advantage, because there is always a wait, and I'm used to it. I stopped by to get my brows arched and I always ask for Candy. I've tried two other stylists and didn't really have good experiences, so I was reluctant on this visit. My brow shape is different, and Candy knows how to work with it as well as my sensitive skin. I was informed that she wasn't in, which I understand, and that there was a chance that she wouldn't be in the shop the next day. I needed to get my brows done; it was my birthday weekend. I took a chance on another brow stylist, and I hate to say it, but I am very displeased. My brows lifted on both sides at the bottom and they look almost as if nothing was done to them. I'm not sure if there was too much wax used, but out of the many times that I've been to Candy, they have only lifted once other than this visit. I appreciate the work that Candy does, but I'm surprised because the quality is not what I'm used to from her shop. I know that everyone has their own style, but the shop is a brand and maybe everyone needs to be on the same page. The stylist didn't give any advice on how to treat my lifted brows, nor did she use the stone to soothe them. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! Never received product or even confirmation email. Made an order for Candy tint, Candy Tools and Candy Developer on December 5, 2017. I never received a confirmation that they received order and it was being processed. Their site states give it three business days to received tracking info, I have not received that either. I've sent an email and have not gotten a response, I also sent a message through the site and nothing. No one answers the phone and I've called different times, different days. To be honest I had been wanting to order from this company for almost a year now. Because they had such good reviews and the results that they posted were fabulous. I placed my order near the end of October and received an email the 1st of November stating that because of shipping and the product being in high demand that they weren't going to be able to start shipping until the 20th of November. They were very apologetic and said they would include an extra tint because of the delay. I totally understand this, things happen. I was bummed but they were so friendly that I figured ok. I needed it for a trip on the 23 of December so I figured it was still plenty of time. November 30th rolls around, more then a month since I placed my order and still no word. I sent an email that said hey no rush but is there any ETA. They responded December 4th apologizing again that they were in the process of packing all the orders and would get them out soon. By DECEMBER 18th almost two months after I placed my order and 2 weeks after their last email I wrote them, understandably irritated, that I NEEDED to know when I was getting my product. It has been two months and nothing. Can I expect to see it or should I cancel my order. I was especially irritated because they were hosting a sale on their Instagram when so many haven't even received their orders. Needless to say it is now the 21st and I haven't heard a WORD from them. They disabled messages and comments on Instagram so there is no way to communicate with them except for email. I went in last Thursday, as a walk-in. Candy the Owner waxed and tinted my brows. It was my 1st time trying the tint. I had no idea, she was the owner. She was very Down to Earth, not that flashy "I'm the boss!" type and very professional, even asked me if she could take a call, while my tint was setting in. I've been coming on and off for about 2 years, strictly for cleaning my brows. I've moved, so now their new location is almost a 2 Hour round trip! I decided to go because I've always been satisfied with my service. I believe I've had my brows done by every tech there now. I was/am very satisfied with my tint! The decor is absolutely beautiful, candy made myself as well as my sister feel very comfortable. Great atmosphere overall, but the product however didn't meet its expectations. We were told that our tint would last for two weeks, however that was the case. It began to Fade two days later. Fast forward it's been 15 days and I find myself in the mirror filling in my eyebrows since last week. FYE $35 for 2 days is a bit outrageous. Would not recommend better off filling my brows myself. So this is an update after waiting since THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER I finally receive my order at the end of January, the package was soaked and half the developers were spilled all inside the package. They gave me 1 free tube for having to wait 3 months for my order smh, and not to mention IT DOESNT EVEN WORK , At all. To be fair, I did not receive any service here but I did wait 1 hour in an attempt to get my brows threaded and tinted. I work in the Avondale Estates area and came here today during my lunch break. When I first came in, the receptionist told me the wait was around 30 minutes and that I could wait in the salon or come back. I decided to wait since there's nothing to really browse at North DeKalb Mall. I signed in at 12:07 pm. Two more people came in immediately after me and I overheard the receptionist tell one girl the wait was 45 minutes. That girl left and came back 45 minutes later and was seen within 5 minutes. At this point, I was already waiting 45 + minutes seated in very uncomfortable plastic chairs. Mind you, I'm 6 months pregnant and sitting anywhere for that long was very uncomfortable. The other girl who came in after me was also seen early on. To give this place the benefit of any doubt, that customer could've checked in before me. I know that the salon could have been busy due to the lunch hour and I was fine waiting but when people who were quoted longer wait periods after me were seen before me, I began to get upset. At 1:02 pm, the receptionist said I would be next. I told her I had to get back to work and that she quoted me 30 minutes and it was an hour later. She said it was because another customer added on henna and it took longer. There were two technicians. One worked on one customer the entire time and the other was working on others with quicker services. Based on my hour-long observation, the technician who wasn't tied down could have seen me two customers ago. I told her to cancel it and I left. This is the most upset I've been since my pregnancy started and I have a high tolerance. Not only did I waste my lunch hour, I was late returning to work and had to eat fast food for lunch because of my shortage of time. I think any business, whether you're catering to your pre-existing clientele or welcoming new ones, should be considerate of all of their customers' time. Eyebrow threading isn't that much of a specialty skill that this salon is indispensable. read more

It is 12/31/19 and I still haven't received my merchandise or the link for the class. I have been there on several occasions and was so pleased with the wax and tint service, but I believe the product selling is a scam. There's no response to emails and if you question where your product is that YOU paid for on Instagram she deletes the comments. This review is on lash extensions only - I have not gotten my brows done here. I found a place because a celebrity posted pictures of her lashes on Instagram and they looked great, they were a fraction of the price I had paid previously at a Buckhead lash salon. It was such an awful experience, the girl was breathing on me which is gross because she was literally all in my face. You are in an open area for mall passerby's to look in and watch. You have no privacy whatsoever. The worst part is quality of the lashes are mediocre. She took about 50 minutes to apply the lashes (which was my first sign they weren't going to be great). Good lashes take at least 1.5 hours for application. My lashes looked ok, but something told me this wasn't going to last. When she finished I could feel the weight of the lashes on my eyes. The next day when i washed my face (you have to wait 24 hours to cleans the lashes) they were extremely crunchy. I began to remove them at home because I couldn't take the pain of the lashes anymore. They used cheap lashes to apply and they were actually poking my eyelid - I could feel it. Because the salon had no idea what they were doing, my lashes were actually damaged. It looked like more than 1 fake lash was applied to my real lash and I think that is why my lashes got so damaged. Ladies - be aware that you can do some serious damage getting lashes that aren't done by a skilled salon with quality products. They should not offer eye lash services. If your eyelashes feel anything but natural the products they used were cheap. I've since gone back to my Buckhead lash salon. read more

I found Candy Brow Bar via Instagram before moving to Atlanta. Candy has a strong Instagram following which was an indicator for me that her services are outstanding. When I first went to see Candy, my brows were off the chain! Don't expect an overnight miracle but give her time to work her magic and I can assure you that you will be satisfied. While growing out my brows, I would get a wax and tint. The tint will help fill any areas that might be a little scarce. After a few times of doing that, my brows have now grown in and I will only be tinting them if I want to go for the "no makeup" look. The ambiance here is pretty standard for a brow bar. It is very clean, they play awesome music and have always been very friendly to me. If you are not up for a long wait, I suggest going when they first open. I have had my brows waxed and also threaded here. The threading was a little too painful for me but a great alternative for those that cannot wax due to skin issues. They are located in N Dekalb mall in a storefront not a kiosk. They are near the food court in the same hall as Burlington. Candy Brow Bar- keep up the great work! I come here quite often. This is the only place I come for my brows actually. Not sure what is going on but the quality of the service is on the downhill. Usually when I come, tint really takes to my brows, however on this visit it looks like absolutely NOTHING was put on them. I'm not going to even speak on the service because that would lower the score even more. Let's just say the time I was here last, I was left in the chair while everyone took a lunch break. This review is for the online workshop that I bought for $200 I bought my workshop back in February a month ahead of time I was super excited to carry this line and to learn about! The workshop that was scheduled to be online and live streamed March 31 yesterday I never ever received any email about any login information or directions to attend the online workshop I've sent several emails and all she keeps saying is the information will be sent well the day of the event comes and I am still without any direction as to how to get on the live workshop all her response has been if you wanna refund then send the product back and you'll get a full refund.. I haven't even received all the product yet! She gave no explanation as to why she never sent me what I paid $200 for!!!! she should've told me to keep the product that's on the way for me being inconvenienced and not getting what I paid for now I'm out $200 and have to deal with PayPal dispute this company is truly unprofessional and you can tell by her emails she does not care about customers at least me anyway... I went to the old location once a few years ago and to this new location recently. I was going to put that they don't do reservations so be mindful of the wait- but on the Yelp page it's saying you can request an appointment. I guess it's a new thing. ANYWAYS. I've only came twice but absolutely love getting my brows done here. My brows grow differently so its hard to find someone to get them to be "sisters" and not "distant cousins." I usually get my brows threaded but get them waxed here. Tyannah did my brows and they looked so good when she was done with me. I was a whole new woman! I've never got the tint done but looking at their Instagram page- this is the place to go. Only complaint is my skin lifted in a spot under my brow because she waxed over the same area twice- but my brows looked so good I didn't care too much. They only take cash- so come prepared. The wax costs $16 and some change after tax. It's a better deal if you wax and tint rather than one without the other. I went to then dispute my order after a week and at that time they denied my dispute and provided a tracking number. Product arrived but does not last more than 2 days. Waste of money. I appreciate the gentle touch used for my recent way over due brow wax. The light massage and aloe gel really helped reduce redness too. And while I don't mind waiting for a good wax I did think the twenty minute wait was a tad long given the receptionist comment that I was next and it would just be a few minutes....not a major complaint but worth noting. The salon itself needs much better signage I almost never found the place. Finally I really don't mind the communal setting similar to a hair salon but I really miss the comfy spa bed that even the cheap o nail place I usually go for services has. Those salon chairs are so uncomfortable as to make me want to buy these ladies decent beds which make waxing so much less of a chore. read more

Brows- threaded & tinted First, I'd like to say how friendly the rep was when I called to inquire about the location. As, It was my first visit to the salon, and that mall. Upon, arrival I noticed the sign at the front desk indicating that it was cash only. Unfortunately , I was not advised of that prior to driving almost an hour to the location. When I stated I did not carry cash I was directed to a ATM machine nearby. Bummer! She did offer me $5 off for the inconvenience. Had my eyebrows threaded. Pleasant experience. However, they were mix-matched, but the technician quickly made the repair. Next, was the tint by another tech. Since it was my first visit, and she said she'd been doing it over a year, I trusted the process. Upon completion the eyebrow shape was not consistent and the tint was very dark almost black. With my skin tone and hair color I looked like Eddie Munster, from the Addams Family. Uuuggh I asked her if they had any additional colors she stated that they did, but it was never offered as an option. If I could offer a suggest, I would suggest that the staff be a little more customer-oriented and provide options prior to Services.
