Steve Candito and team were great! They installed Crown Molding in our home. Candito and crew were Easy to work with, reasonably priced, and did excellent work. Ive now had 2 remodel projects done by Steve and his guys. Ive been extremely pleased with the work. The difference Steve brings is personal involvement. Steve is the heart and soul of this business and he was there working alongside his guys for the basic construction componant of each job. It's obvious that he and his crews have a great deal of respect and comoradory for each other. Steve brings an integrity and a commitment to quality that I have never seen in another contractor. He cares about the results and used his extensive experience in construction to help realize my design ideas, many of which were not well formed when we started talking. I have reccomended Steve to a couple of my friends who were considering having work done, and would strongly reccomend him to anyone. Steve also has access to an extensive set of subcontractors who can do all kinds of irregualr or non-general contracting work. Steve has brought in painters, plumbers, heating contractors, electricians (who specialized in custom LED lighting) and a marble-tile guy who did some great mosaic work for me. If Steve coordinated between these guys and myself more hed have gotten 5 stars, but given the amount of personal involvement he has in the general contracting work on each job, im not sure where he would find the time! Thanks for two excellent projects Steve. I look forward to working wth you again on the next job! -S. read more

I feel so lucky to have chosen Steve as our contractor. He remodeled our kitchen and created a finished garage. Some of the things I loved about working with Steve. - He finished our project ahead of schedule. - His subs were all friendly, professional and they did a great job. - His crew cleaned up their worksite at the end of each day. - He did really beautiful work --- Steve is clearly a master at his trade, and talented craftsman and builder. We had to deviate from the architect's plan, but Steve always had great suggestions, and I trusted his judgement completely. We are completely happy with the end result. - He stayed within budget. - He went above and beyond in terms of helping me get the house in better shape, and he has a lot of integrity, and excellent work ethic. - I also interviewed a few contractors who didn't want to meet me unless my husband was at the meeting; my husband didn't have time to participate in much of the remodel, so it was refreshing that Steve didn't have any issues working with me as the main contact. Other items that were important to us for our remodel, that Steve's crew checked off. - Needed to be licensed with workman's comp. - Didn't have any complaints logged against his license # - Was nice to have a local contractor with many years of experience with the Pacifica building department and inspectors. I've heard many horror stories of projects going over budget, and way over the time frame, or projects that get pushed to the back burner for bigger projects, and I am so happy we chose Steve and that we didn't run into any of those issues. I would highly recommend him, and I hope in a few years he'll help us remodel our bathrooms. read more

Thank you, Steve, Stephen, Dan, Randy, inStone Marble, Castle Kitchen, Juan and Manuel! We love our new master bathroom as much as we loved the kids' bathroom back 2009 when you finished that one. Yelp Reader: Steve will help you with decisions from towel racks to shampoo shelves. I agree with the earlier review....Steve is involved in each step of his projects and takes time to give clients "heads-up" when a sub-contractor is due to come to the job site. An example of Steve going above and beyond....my front door knob ceased to work while I was on vacation. Steve took time out of his schedule to buy us a new door knob; get into the house (not a small feat); and had the bathroom ready for us to use after our long trip. read more

Steve Candito and his team are the best. They are real professionals, achieving things that are sadly uncommon: they do what they say they will do. They are reliable, keeping projects both on time and on budget. Check out their website for photos of some of the transformations they produced. read more

Steve recently rebuilt my deck and it looks great. He was responsive from my first call to him all the way through completion. He communicated with me every step of the way, answered all my questions, and delivered a great project. His price was fair, he let me know about a few unforeseen conditions and quoted the change order fairly. He also made a few suggestions that were spot on. I would definitely use Candito Construction again! read more

Just this week Steve and his crew wrapped up our kitchen remodel and I can't express how happy my wife and I are with the way it came out. We started working with Steve and Sam from Castle Kitchen about a year ago. Both of them brought great ideas and realistic approaches to what we could afford in order to maximize our new kitchen space. My wife and I needed to put the project on hold for about 6 months due to some unforeseen issues but Steve honored his original quote when we reached out to him in September 2016. Steve and his crew got started right after the new year and it was such a relief to see how he managed the project. His crew was friendly, responsible, and professional. We were kept informed throughout as to what was planned and what might be needed of us. The remodel came in on time and within the budget. Thank you to Juan & Manuel (Construction), Dan (plumber), Andre and Rich (electricians), Robert (backsplash work), and the guys from Al's Carpets (flooring) and I'm sure there were some others I'm forgetting. Certainly a special THANK YOU to Steve for helping us achieve our dream kitchen and managing the remodel from conception to completion. I really like we went with a local guy and will certainly reach out to him again when the need arises. read more

Candito Construction - Kitchen remodel with new open floor plan. Performed by Candito Construction winter 2017 - General Contractors Near Me

Steve Candito has just completed two bathrooms in our home and we are very pleased with the outcome. He is a very diligent contractor and a no nonsense kind of person who has everyone that works for him staying on track and getting the job done in a timely manner. All the subcontractors he works with are as professional as Steve himself. We were completely satisfied from start to finish. read more

Update! We decided to do the biggest job our house will require - a full Kitchen remodel. Steve Candito and his team knocked it out of the park. He and Sam from Caste Kitchen & Bath worked closely with us and designed a new kitchen that is 10 times more efficient, open and has twice the space. Steve is easy to work with, listens and has great suggestions. The work itself is beyond our wildest expectations. It feels like we have whole new house. Top quality work. I would have not gone with any other contractor. With this amount of time and money, you want to be amazed. We are beyond amazed. No point in rambling on more - see the results! http://s71.photobucket.com/user/zeddex/library/New%20Kitchen read more

Steve put an addition onto our ranch house. His work is fantastic. It's rare to actually have a completely positive experience with constructor and a contractor, but we really did! Steve was very helpful in the permitting process and was accurate in his estimation of the timeline of the project. Steve's team was friendly, reliable, and hard-working. The project moved along quickly and the final result is just beautiful! We highly recommend Steve and would use him again ourselves for any future work. read more

Steve did a major remodel of my parent's home, and so when it was time to do my kitchen, I didn't feel that I needed to call anyone else. He did a terrific job. He and his subcontractors provided excellent communication. They were always on time, on task and on budget. Couldn't ask for anything else. read more

Steve did two simultaneous projects for me: a new stainless steel flue for a natural gas water heater, and a bathroom fan/circulating heater unit. As an engineer, I pay very close attention to details, and I was pleased with the final results. The water heater flue was installed ahead of schedule, allowing me to place the system in service (and start realizing power savings) sooner than expected. The vent fan installation was potentially complicated due to its location between levels, and Steve originally budgeted the project based upon removing and replacing an entire section of drywall. Due to the skill of his crew, the installation was actually easier than expected, and Steve gave me a credit on the final invoice! Plus, the electrical work performed was top-notch, and they even fixed an existing problem with an improperly landed neutral. I definitely plan on using Candito Construction for my next home improvement project. read more

I recently hired Steve for a remodel of the exterior of my home. He and his crew did a great job, the finished product turned out better than I had hoped. His subs also did a very good job. Although he may not be the least expensive contractor out there, the expense was well worth it for the quality. I highly recommend him. read more

Steve and his crew just completed our total kitchen remodel. We are very pleased with the results and everything was done in a professional and timely manor... 8 weeks from start to finish! Thanks again Steve!!! read more

I am very pleased with Candito Construction. Steve and his crew recently built us a redwood deck and installed sliding glass doors off of our second floor living room, and the results exceeded our expectations. Our deck was a design/build project, and it was completely turnkey. Steve not only produced the drawings, but shepherded the project through permit process, construction, and closeout. Steve and his crew are skilled craftsmen and professionals in every respect. They were punctual, considerate, and carried out the terms of the contract exactly as we agreed upon. There weren't even any of those nagging punchlist items at the end, because these men do things right the first time. This is a solid company led by an honest contractor. I have no reservations in recommending Steve Candito for your job! read more

Our Master Bathroom remodel is something we have dreamt about for years, every time I would take a shower in that itty bitty shower. Now I have the bathroom I have always wanted. It is not a large bathroom by any means but it has everything I want in it. I LOVE taking my nightly showers. I close the darking shades and light my candles and turn on my extra large shower head and just SIT and relax in the hot water. It is all my favorite colors and my favorite time of day. I also love that enviably both my children find me and end up in the shower with me and it is big enough for all of us. This would have been completely impossible in our old bathroom. Steve and his team made our dream bathroom a reality. He listened to what I wanted and suggested ideas that I never thought of. Together we came up with the ideal plan. The remodel was quick and clean. He was very considerate of my families living situation during the remodel. I can't recommend Steve and his team enough. read more

Steve and his guys recently completed several large construction related projects at our home of one year in Pacifica. We liked our home going into the agreement with Steve, but we love our home even more now as a direct result of the exemplary, professional work and significant improvements done by Steve and his accomplices. All of the work was first rate and we only have positive things to say about Steve and his construction business. We had two new decks added to our property, both look absolutely beautiful and better carpentry and carpenters you won't find than with Juan and Manuel. They have a great skill set. I'm very jealous! We also had a total bathroom remodel which was done to perfection - the tiling work as executed by Robert was excellent. The plumbing work engaged by Dan was superb. Our new bathroom exceeds anything you would expect from a Four Seasons or Ritz hotel chain. Steve Jr did all the electrical work with precision and care. We also had some structural work done in relation to the extensive decking projects and Javier and his guys who Steve designated this work to, were amazing and made short and quick work of a heavy duty and cumbersome project, the results of which also look fantastic. All in all, I would have no hesitation to recommend Steve and his team and Steve's sub contracting personnel for any and all of your construction projects or needs. Steve is very hard working, diligent, helpful, and insightful with much smarter and better suggestions (than my own). He is an honest broker in his line of work. We were delighted to have started a good working relationship with Steve and for future projects I will be contacting Steve at the drop of a hat. Also, high praise and accolades for Dave Shapiro at Pacific Coast Painting for doing a wonderful job on the painting interior and soon to be exterior of our home. "A house a home does not make", but thanks to Steve and each and every one of the aforementioned people, our nest is now a beautiful home. Thank you one and all for all of your quality work from start to finish. read more
