The main floor is filled primarily with furniture and framed pictures, although not all items would fall into the category of being a true antique. Most items are affordable, as this is not an upmarket shop, but one that caters to the casual antique store browser. Given the lack of antique shops in Ottawa, A Fine Things Antiques is a welcome addition to the local antiques retail scene.

I know lots of friends who would go crazy over some of the more luxurious items in the store, like the marine navigation tools and the lovely globes. The store has an exotic feel to it. Masks decorate the walls and the wooden figures range form small little things that will fit in your hands to much bigger, more significant pieces. It isn't a huge store, so stock is limited, but what they do carry is fairly unique for the Ottawa area.

I believe the store is in the old Forever 21 - but somebody please correct me if it's not. The store feels a bit more cramped than Chapters. Indigo also feels less about books than the Chapters and has more home decor but it could also have been because it's a bit more compact. I was also there at night so it could have just been dark. Decent store, didn't try to buy any books but check it out. I don't know if there's a coffee shop as I was trying to get some XMas shopping complete.
