I would like to provide some feedback regarding my ultrasound appointment this afternoon (December 3, 2025) at CDC Symons Valley. I believe it would be helpful for the clinic to inform women in advance if the ultrasound technician will be male. While I understand the professional nature of these procedures, I was uncomfortable being asked to undress and have my body handled by an unknown male technician. Even in a medical setting, I feel it is important to be aware of the gender of the person performing the procedure so that women can make an informed decision about their comfort levels. I hope this feedback can be considered to improve patient experiences going forward. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service and reception. I have been emailing them for 9 months for my MRI scan results and they haven't bothered to respond back. I spent $1200 on MRI and they don't have the courtesy to email me my results. Terrible experience from the incompetent staff! read more

I'm surprised at the low average rating!! I lucked out today, they weren't busy. Did a walk in X-ray in less than half hour. Have been here before for MRIs and hip injections. Always respectful, free parking such a plus in a big city. The x-ray tech was engaged and checked prior history, friendly and quick. This is my go to most times for imaging. read more

5 stars! Excellent service from the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by friendly up-front staff. I had the pleasure of being checked in by friendly and proactive Samire. I had left my requisitions at home but Samire assured me all I needed was someone at home to take images and send them which is what we did, problem solved! Technicians Alma, Brooklyn and Alejandro were professional, efficient and friendly and I felt comfortable right away, I knew I was in good hands. There is 2 hour parking in the parking lot and a complimentary water dispenser in the waiting area with comfortable chairs. The energy in this CDC location was positive and enjoyable all-round. I took my 18 year old daughter to the CDC Chinook location for a thyroid and neck ultrasound and we had a deeply upsetting experience at this location. My daughter was already quite anxious about her health, so she asked me to accompany her. When we arrived, the technician immediately snapped and didn't want to allow me into the room until my daughter insisted that she wanted me in there with her. That alone set a very uncomfortable tone. After confirming her name and birthdate, the technician's first comment to her was, "Why does your doctor think you have cancer?" I was completely shocked. This appointment was booked as a precaution due to some swollen lymph nodes--there had never been any mention of cancer by the doctor. My daughter was already nervous going in, and to hear something like that--without context, without compassion--I felt like any parent would! I tried to clarify that this scan was just a precautionary measure, not to scare my daughter but the technician insisted that the requisition form mentioned a suspicion of cancer and that this information was accessible on the requisition, and nowhere does it say that. Regardless, it was entirely inappropriate and unprofessional for a technician to make such a loaded, speculative comment--especially when it hasn't been discussed with the patient by their physician. The technician continued to be cold, dismissive, and lacked any empathy both before and after her comment. She made no effort to ease the situation, and her tone throughout the appointment was rude and condescending. I sensed how uncomfortable and distressed my daughter became so I decided to end the test so that we can reschedule at a different location. This was my daughter's third appointment with CDC this week, and every other technician has been professional, kind, and respectful. This particular experience stood in stark contrast. I am extremely disappointed and shaken by what happened, and now i fear my daughter's anxiety will be multiples. No patient--especially a young one--should be made to feel this way during a medical exam. I am disappointed and would not recommend this clinic due to one unprofessional technician. read more

I went for an MRI at the Chinook location and the entire staff were so friendly. The lady who did my MRI was incredibly kind and patient. Im a bit claustrophobic and she helped me through the half hour I was in the machine, gave me updates along the way, and was so calming. read more

2 years ago I would of easily rated this business/location 5 stars. I used to recommend it to everyone for their pregnancy related ultrasounds. After my experience today, I would give it 0/5 if I could. The receptionist was horribly disorganized, and unsympathetic. We were 10 minutes late due to a personal emergency, we had called 20 minutes prior to our appt and over the phone she told us it would be fine. We get there just to find out that she had never communicated to the technician that we were running late, or that we were in the waiting room for another 10 minutes after the fact. The technician came out confused, wondering why nobody had contacted her as she was waiting in her room for us. I'm very upset as we had to miss work, and arrange child care for this appointment, just to be turned away and lied to. This was supposed to be an exciting ultrasound, where we get to see our baby and find out what we're having. Thank you CDC for taking this precious moment away from me! read more

Lack of professionalism and care of all parties involved. I wouldn't lose my time anymore. They wasted my time waiting for them to give an appintment, and they didn't care. I submitted my requsiton, and as per the information, I was supposed to receive a call within 24 - 48 hours. After 5 business days, no one ever cared to call me to let me now what was happening. By the 4th business day I called, and I was told that someone would call me, but no one ever did. Then on the 5th business day, again I called as I really needed a MRI appointment and once again I was told that someone would call me this time for sure. If I am told someone would call, I expect they do as they promised. No apologies were offered and I never heard from them to give me so simple as an appointment. Terrible service! read more

Generally a good experience with a facet injection in my lower spine. The doctor did it so well and smoothly that I didn't realize it was done until he walked away and a nurse said I could get up. No pain or even a pinch! It took about 2-5 minutes once I laid down, and I think I was in the facility for 15-20 minutes total...most of that AFTER the injection while we waited to see if I was okay. The only reason I don't give more stars is that I didn't know what to expect from the shot (1 star). Didn't know how long it would take to kick in. What to look for as it worked or didn't work. And what to do next depending on whether it worked or not. And the doctor who did the injection said he could do 2 more facets and likely give me more relief...if I wanted. I said "sure!" But as far as me or my doctor are aware, he didn't do those. He stuck with the referral to do only one...and likely his suggestion was just part of the banter. (1 star). In hindsight, one more would've been nice. I normally would've double checked everything myself but due to the pain I wasn't really in the right headspace. read more

DO NOT DO A PRIVATE MRI AT THIS LOCATION!! $1100 LATER FOR NOTHING. Backstory: I have given CDC over a week to remedy the situation and since they have done nothing I put my grievance here for the public to read. They have called and left messages that they would like to talk but never a number to contact them in return. We researched two businesses and ended up going with CDC over a couple positive reviews and a small savings of $200 compared to Mayfair(should NOT have let that sway my decision) I first called looking for information and informed the agent my son was 15, with chronic diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain. We were looking to diagnose Crohn's or Colitis would an abdomen and pelvic MRI be sufficient? I was told yes indeed and needed to email my requisition over. I was not contacted within 24 hours so I then called asking if my requisition had been received. The agent located my papers and then stated she needed to have the radiologist look at this request and let me know if it could be done. I then repeated the reason for getting the MRI and she said that yes they would let him know and get back to me. She called me within a reasonable amount of time and advised me that the radiologist would agree to the exams ONLY if Gadolinium contrast was used via IV. I was told by my GP this was a normal request so I agreed and we set the exam for the following week. Fast forward to the appointment after WRITING down in length all his symptoms and our concerns on the questionaire in the waiting room we then discussed with the MRI tech staff, if we would get a good picture of Diverticulitis? They said no probably not but YES to Crohn's and Colitis. Our GP got the written results and she tells me they found nothing but that the reports states they didn't see the stomach or bowel?! They were not able to evaluate because of gas built up in the bowel and pelvis and the bladder was not filled so saw nothing there(he was told no food no drink 4 hours before exam people). We are LIVID because the entire diagnosis was dependent on seeing both the stomach and bowel. My husband calls CDC and relays his extreme disappointment and asks to speak to a manager. The agent refuses at first and says if he is disappointed with the diagnosis then he should go through his doctor. My husband let's the agent know this has nothing to do with the diagnosis since the exam was NOT completed and the area in which we asked to be examined was not even evaluated so this has nothing to do with a diagnosis. She takes his information and somebody calls him back the next day and he once again relays the story to him the agent informs him that they could not see the intestines clearly due to what they called "normal articles" in the intestines being fecies and gas. The agent informs him that MRI's have ONLY a 10% success rate of seeing the intestines clearly, this of course AFTER WE PAID the $1100! This would have been critical information to have before making the decision to go ahead with the exam! The agent then says he sees the concerns and he will have to look into it further. Two days later another gentleman calls(this time me) and leaves a message that they would like to talk about the MRI and will call me early the following week. That was ONE week ago and still NO answers just an empty useless report and $1100 taken. I hope this review helps desperate people like us that are stuck in the AHC system and need answers so when they pay out of their own pocket they never have this HAPPEN TO THEM. Go to Mayfair spend that extra couple hundred dollars, if you need more than one area done. But do NOT throw your money away theough CDC. read more

I went to CDC Chinook for ultrasound. They told me to drink water an hour before which I did. The technician was almost 40 min late. No one called and said that it would be late. I had to sit and be tourchered for almost an hour. It's unacceptable to tourcher people like this. Finally I could not wait anymore went to the bathroom. When technician finally came out she suggested me to do procedure anyway even though she would not see anything. I just don't understand why. Absolutely terrible experience. When you come late 30 min they can't accept you but it's ok if you wait wanting to go to the bathroom really bad. For procedure like this it's not ok to make person wait that long. May be one of them should try to sit and wait in this condition to understand how it feels. read more

Today I went to this Chinook facility for a cortisone injection in my hip. This was the first time I have ever had this procedure. Whilst the reception staff and technicians were personable and reassuring - the same cannot be said for the radiologist that administered the injections. He entered the room with a totally expressionless demeanor. No "hello" or "how are you doing". In fact he uttered only one single word to me and that was "POKE" just before he put the first needle in. When the procedure was done he just left the room - saying absolutely nothing. I felt as if I had just received treatment from a robot. No doubt this particular radiographer had the skills to adminster the treatment, BUT I feel it is IMPERATIVE that the medical professionals have some kind of bedside manner. This individual had none whatsoever and ensured that I left the facility feeling that I had not had a positive experience. I will not choose to use this Centre again if it involves encountering this seemingly cold, detached individual. read more

I have been to this location 4 times in total now, and usually have a good experience here, but had such a bad experience last time, it kind of overshadows the 3 good experiences. I was told once the tech had what she needed during my 20 week ultrasound, my husband would be brought in too. I wrote down on the form in the waiting room that my husband was with me, but she went through all of it and the next thing I know it's over and she never brought him in! He had to miss work for it too, and at a time that it REALLY wasn't convenient for him to do so - and for nothing yet! Then I asked her if I could get the 3D ultrasound like the one I had gotten the last pregnancy, and her response was "YOU should have told me that at the BEGINNING!!" They have signs everywhere that say they don't want you talking until the tech is done getting what she needs from the ultrasound! And I didn't have to say anything the last pregnancy! So now she wasn't even able to find a good angle for it to work, and I got nothing but one vague black and white pic. The whole reason I made the appointment here in the first place was to get that 3D ultrasound, because not all the ultrasound places have it! It was an extremely disappointing day for all of us, as my son had also been looking forward to seeing "the picture of the baby on the tv", since that's what I had been promising him (and had no reason to believe otherwise!) but he and my husband were never even allowed to come in and see. That tech should not do anything that involves dealing with people, she was horrible! read more
