Very good. Helpful for what I was looking for pretty fast and efficient for a doctor's office.

Took my child (12) here for an Xray & cast for a broken arm in Aug 2025. Wait times were reasonable…read moreand the Xray technician and Doctor were good. However the nurse who casted my son's arm squeezed the fresh cast @ the location of the break - i assumed to tighten it on his arm and help push the bone (which was bent out a bit) back into place. This put my child in alot of pain but I assume it was what needed to happen. We were then referred to the children's hospital for a checkup. Upon checkup Xray (3 weeks later) the bone is SEVERELY pushed out of place and now requires surgery and an additional 8 weeks healing time. He had no falls and no bumps on the arm within the first 3 weeks. I can only assume that whatever SQUEEZING the nurse did to his arm pushed the bone so severely out of place that it was injured 10x worse then it was originally. We will NEVER go to the urgent care clinic here for a broken bone again.

For five years, I worked for a bank in downtown Calgary. During that time, the hours were 9 - 4…read morep.m. At 4 p.m., the doors would close and any customers that were standing there at 4 p.m. were still served, which meant that a 4 p.m. close meant it was 4:30 when the bank was done serving clients. Not at South Calgary Medical Clinic. Today, I was feeling a bit under the weather, and it is after 3:30 p.m. on a Sunday. I get online and find out (thankfully) that the South Calgary Medical Clinic has walk-in until 5 p.m. I get in my vehicle and I head over. As I walk in the building at 4:15 p.m., I can see that the gate to the clinic is closed. There is a man outside the gate talking to one of the workers at the clinic through the gate. Its 45 minutes before their posted closing time, and there is no one in the waiting room and the doors are locked. The guy is obviously not feeling well, and is trying to negotiate with the worker to let him in, given their posted time is 5 p.m.. She was quite rude and adamant, letting him know that what he can't see, is how many patients are already in the rooms with doctors, despite the empty waiting room, so they have stopped taking patients and have closed the door. I didn't intervene - I just stood behind the man and watched the exchange go on between the two of them. Honestly, as a reasonable human being, I can see some logic in this approach if I really open my mind. However, as someone who has worked in some form of customer service for over 25 years, I was struggling with what I witnessed, especially given it is healthcare. Not to mentioned I was a little ticked off myself that I drove from Riverbend to Sundance for a service that closed its doors 45 minutes early. I guess a medical clinic does not have to worry about losing business for creating their own rules. However, if I wanted to ensure that I left work at 5 p.m. every day in a role such as that, I would post my hours to close at 3 or 4 p.m., to ensure that any customer that came during posted hours were serviced. Much like they did at the bank. That is what makes sense to me. So my quick tip, and my review is simply to state that if you want service from this clinic, use their posted hours as a guideline. I am not sure how long before 4:15 they closed their doors, but I am going to suggest at least an hour before the doors closed.

There were a few others in the waiting room ahead of me but I was told that the wait would be about 45 minutes which isn't too bad for a walk-in. Sure enough, I was in and out pretty much 45 minutes later! Everyone I encountered was friendly and polite. The doctor seemed like he was in a bit of a rush (I didn't get his name and he wasn't wearing a name tag) but he was thorough and quick in examining me. He provided some treatment and we discussed it a bit and then I was on my way again. Overall, pleasant experience (other than me being sick in the first place).

Just want to say this clinic is the worst walk in clinic I have ever experienced in the province or any other. Wait times are ludicrous(the emergency room wait is shorter on average.) Every single time any of us goes there we leave wondering why the hell we bothered?? The reception staff are all some if the rudest women I have ever encountered and really should not be working with patients in any way. Very insensitive and just mean spirited people. All the doctors are the laziest people I have ever met, but Dr. Collette takes the cake. Barely utters a word when he walks in. Doesn't bother to listen to anything you say and makes you feel like an idiot who has nothing wrong with you (whem any other MD says otherwise) or diagnoses the wrong thing because he rushes to throw drugs at you so he can go and sit in the back for 5 hours until he wanders into the next room to screw up his next patient. So unless every other medical centre in Canada is closed, save yourself 4 useless hours of your life and go anywhere else!
