She is the perfect mix of doctor: she knows all of her patients and cares about their lives, gives them the time they need to explain their problems and to give them weight but she is also totally willing to tell you when it's nothing too. She does run a little late sometimes, but it is usually due to an emergency or a visit to the hospital. The staff is very caring too, and she shares the practice with another doctor. She'll refer you if you need a specialist, and she'll always find the most sensible solution. She tells it like it is. For as long as I stay in Calgary, she will be my family doctor. The catch is: she's so great that she has not been taking new patients for some time. But you can always try!

While you're not always going to get in to see him exactly on time, that's because he doesn't rush any of his patients. I think almost every time I've seen him, the conversation ends with something like, "is there anything else I can do for you today." He also knows his stuff, and is more than willing to discuss options, opinions, and anything else. Add to that the fact that he's very light-hearted and has great communication skills, I can't recommend him highly enough. Unfortunately, he doesn't appear to be taking new patients at present, but he's worth keeping an eye on. Yes, he's just that good.

As other have said, you never feel rushed. You always feel valued and he really does know his stuff. He is very through and leaves no stone unturned until you are happy. My kids love him, he knows all the right questions to ask. I hope he stays in practice a very long time. I can't imagine having to find another Dr. Not sure there are many more like him. He had little knowledge in what causes illness but he sure knows his drugs. You'd get better health care from a crack dealer then you would from this drug pushing doctor. I don't think his patients live long lives. If you want drugs this is the doctor for you.

Parking can be a little tight as the lot is small and pay parking only but its well worth it. The doctors here are embedded within the maternity ward of the Rockyview hospital so someone from this clinic is always on call/rotation at the hospital itself. They treat you really well and give you the peace of mind that you need.

I have been coming to this clinic for my second pregnancy and I have nothing but good things to say. Every time I have went in I have been welcomed with a smile and then reassured by Dr. Sloper. Wait times can be a little long sometimes spanning anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour but it's worth the wait because the care and attention I've received thus far is worth it. Definitely not a sterile-looking environment. Dr. Lombard is always fast and gets right to the point. I can see how people might interpret that as cold or rude, but that is exactly what I want from a doctor. The last thing I event wan to do is talk to my physician about dogs or the weekends. I want to get in and out and Dr. Lombard never wastes anytime! As of September '10 they are still accepting new patients, so if you are looking for a doctor, I know that you'll like Rhythm Health.
