There is an elevator, although it takes forever which is weird given the lack of height of the building. There are very large, clear signs guiding you in the only direction down the hall you can really go. I had an early afternoon appointment. I walked in and there was no one waiting. The lady at the desk took my info quickly. She was pleasant although not overly friendly. I sat down and waited no more than 10 minutes (and I had been early). The ultrasound technician was very friendly and professional. She did her thing, always explaining what she was doing and where she'd be touching so there would be no surprises. It really put me at ease. The whole appointment took less than half an hour (including a short wait for results to take back to the hospital). If I need services like these again, this location is a top choice compared to some others. There is also a lot of parking which is handy!

Then I met Dr. Tim Boyne. I have never seen any person like that. He just radiates peace. Also he patiently tried to explain everything in a simple way for me to understand the situation. When i arrived to the destination ( 43 mins from my home ) I was told I needed to return the device the next day at 6-9 am. I said i had to drop my 4 kids at school at 840 so i would be 20 mins late . The technician said no, so i had to get someone else to drop it off for me the next day ( rules are rules so i didnt push). The same technician was rude and codescending ( this is NOT her first negative review .. red hair 30-40s ). She would not make eye contact. She pointed at what she wanted me to do instead of asking. Finally I called her out on being rude when she demanded i take off my shirt instead of asking me nicely or offering me a blanket to feel less exposed OR even saying " i am going to apply leads so you need to take you shirt off for a minute". I asked for a new technician as she was making me so uncomfortable ( as if i wanted to spend my morning getting a heart monitor with a cup of joy at the bed side ). The next technician, Pat, was lovely. Showed me how to use device. She was patient with my questions and the whole event only took 3 mins. I personally have not dealt with the cardiologists in building but my husband has and they are lovely. Too bad they hired someone that brings down their image .

People waiting in emergency being very very rude to the medical staff and expect to be treated with kindness! Think again!!! How would you react if you were on the receiving end of that abuse? Non emergencies could have gone to their family Doctor or a urgent care faculty. Being rude is not going to get special treatment of any kind. Yes, it's hard on everyone's mental patients of waiting. I'm not a person that goes to the hospital with a sniffle or a cough or even a fever. To some people they feel this is their only option, and with this it puts a stain on the emergency system. The nurses took very good care of my mom from the time she arrived to the time she was admitted for a stay. With extensive testing they did find many issues and is now being treated. (Even my dad has been to this hospital 8 years ago for a medical emergency. Even back then we had great medical attention) Kindness, Friendliness with a smile is what you'll get in return. With that said: it makes the medical staff feel better while doing this stressful job they love. -Easy access from Deerfoot Trail or Stoney Trail in the deep south -Emergency parking is pay parking -Limited free 2 hour street parking on the south side. (Good luck in finding a spot) -Plenty of underground pay parking for longer hospital visits or short. For a hospital that is 10 years old still has plenty of room for expansion and is in a great location to service Calgary south and towns. I would like to say I would be returning because of the great prognosis and treatment. But medically I hope not.

I received a letter from Alberta Cervical Cancer screening program this week stating everything is OK! For someone who has received treatment for Cervical Cancer, this is so important. I'm so happy that there is this level of care here. Even if I can't get a GP.

I accompanied a client to this clinic who has struggled with her male family doctor, saying she…read moredoesn't feel heard or understood. She had booked an appointment at this clinic in advance and to my surprise, was able to see someone within a few weeks. Upon arrival, my client checked in and we waited. I spotted a sign on the wall that encourages patients to notify front reception if they've waited for more than 30min. I'm glad they have this sign because after waiting this long, at least my client felt justified to complain. I watched everyone else in the waiting room come and go, so I'm not sure what happened there. I liked that music was playing and there are nice photos of some of the physicians on display. I sat in on part of the meeting between my client and the doctor, who was rather lovely. She was soft spoken and friendly. To my surprise, the doctor informed us that the clinic does not provide referrals. My client had specifically asked that question on the phone when booking the appointment and she was told otherwise. At least my client was able to get some important tests done and felt good afterward about being able to express her concerns without being brushed off.
