I have always had the loveliest staff and best care!!! Dr Mrkjonic did surgery on my leg that was broken in three places. She is the best!!!!! And there is a gent in the cast clinic- lovely- can't remember his name but he's good for a joke or two. And all the nurses I have had the pleasure of talking to- all so kind!!! I spent a day and a half at south calgary and two days at rockyview. I was looked after as one should be not as one that thinks they are entitled. I watched homeless drug addicted people and over expectant patients abuse front end care workers who do not have any control over the system. If y people want to complain do it with your government. Lots of vital signs taking. have not seen a single doctor, only nurses. no water fountains , nothing much for food besides the very expensive cafeteria 5min walk away. toilets are dirty. No doctors was available overnight, wait times on the website is laughable at best. Too bad staff and management doesn't have to come in as a regular patient with no special needs. I wonder how they would find the situation. please avoid Rockyview as much as possible.

I called in to make an appointment for a consult and his patient coordinator, Shawna, is nothing but pleasant. She was able go schedule me in two weeks following my phone call. He is located in the same office as Dr Perron on 4th St SW in the same complex as Shoppers Drug Mart. Parking is a bit confusing and difficult as I wasn't able to enter the parkade. The door was closed and didn't open when I drove up to it. I had to resort to street parking. At least I could use my "Text to ParkPlus" account for that. (It could be a real issue if you're in for a longer appointment, though for something like that you'd most likely be getting a ride since you'd be under general anesthesia.) When you walk into the office you meet with Shawna in her office to the left of reception. Dr Perron's staff works up front. Shown a gave me medical questionaire papers to fill out. After I was done I probably waited an extra 15-20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before I got to meet Dr Frank. He was very pleasant and told me what he would do for my procedure. It was a quick 3 minute consult since my procedure was very minor anyway. Once I was done Shawna called me back into her office. I paid the $80 consult fee (which is subtracted from the cost of the procedure) and booked for the procedure date. The next available date in about 6 weeks' time. Dr Frank is relatively new to the plastic surgery scene so booking in with him isn't a half a year wait yet thankfully. My surgery has been scheduled and I will be updating my experience with that. The pricing is fairly reasonable considering he is a plastic surgeon. I can't wait to be done with it!

To back up a little bit, the public has to pay to see a podiatrist and there is a bit of snobbery between doctors and podiatrists. An initial consult costs $70 and subsequent visits cost $30. If your GP sends in a referral to the clinic, you pay nothing. Most podiatrists charge $70 per visit. Dr. To is an easy going, knowledgeable doctor who treats you like an intelligent human being. He feels very comfortable handling your feet and putting your socks on you and tying the laces. In my case, this was very much appreciated. After sending me for X-rays, an ultrasound and examining my bare foot, he diagnosed and made a plan. He treated me right there in the office (I fainted) and told me to come back in two weeks. What impressed me was that he sent his findings and treatment to my family doctor and gave me a copy for my files. The team in the back were so accommodating, they checked on me consistently, asking if I needed anything. Carly, one of the nurses was amazing! She took the time to ask questions and really showed her passion for taking care of people. Dr Penny was always checking in with me, discussing course of action and what options I had. It was the complete opposite of the experiences I have had in other ER settings! I would definitely recommend this Urgent Care center to anyone!
